About: Hi there! My name is Hope and I am a very passionate animal lover with over 3 years of professional dog handling experience (along with being a dog and cat mom to a 3 year old Dalmatian and 2 lovely boy cats)! Through my years working at Bay View Bark, a dog daycare/boarding facility, I have learned so much and now have a great understanding of dog behavior, body language and handling techniques. I am very comfortable managing dogs of all sizes and temperaments, with the goal of keeping everyone safe, happy and healthy while they’re in my care! Whether you’re looking for a high energy structured walk or just someone to keep your pup company, I am more than happy to fill whatever role you may need! I am fully confident with feeding meals and administering any medications your puppy may need including oral, topical or any other meds/supplements. My hope is to be able to learn as much about your dog as I can to help customize my approach to fit your dogs unique personality, I want to create a welcoming and smooth experience from start to finish for every pup I meet/take care off! Lastly I want to make sure you feel 100% confident that your dog(s) are in the best hands and with someone that will extend the love/care you give to them each day! I currently work a full time job but have a large range of shift times so my schedule varies week by week. I will often be off work by 3pm in the opposite end I sometimes don’t start work until 12pm, giving me time to do short visits before/after my shifts! I have multiple xpens and gates to section off my home along with two entry/exit ways, one at the front and one at the back of my house. I have an unfenced front yard with a 30ft leash attached to the porch to provide free roaming if wanted! I live not even a block from Humboldt park which makes taking enriching walks very easy!
“Tanya was so great to Callie! She had excellent communication and was very reliable. I trust her with the pup and being in my apartment. Will for sure use her dog walking services again in the future.”

About: I have plenty of experience caring for dogs. I previously trained and raised a puppy of my own. Unfortunately he is no longer with me, and now I get my dog fix by watching them for friends and family. I’d love to care for your pet! Boarding dogs must be kid friendly as I have a dog loving 1.5y/o. I have no other pets in the home at this time. My work schedule is super flexible, so even if a day is marked unavailable for drop in or walks, send me a message I might be able to make something work! I work from home majority of the time and am able to give lots of attention and love to your pets. I would be available for boarding most any time. My job is very flexible so I am able to do drop ins or walks anytime as well! Even if a day is marked unavailable, message me as I might be able to make something work! I have a private entry apartment, with a small unfenced grass area by the porch for potty breaks. I live across from Humboldt park and go daily for walks and for my son to play and we would love to take your dog to play fetch or for a nice long walk! My apartment is pretty small but will definitely get energy out at the park!
About: Some of my earliest memories include spending time with my dogs growing up. I have always loved animals and treated them as part of the family- whether they’re mine or not! Every pet deserves love, attention, and care the same as you and I. I aim to ease some of the burden that comes with managing the work/life balance and provide that for my pets as well as others! Daily I care for my sweet pup Penny! She loves all the attention & walks she can get :) with our fenced in yard she is able to get her zoomies out! I currently have a fenced in yard and live in a walkable area. I also have a crate if needed if your pup prefers that to feel more comfortable.

About: Welcome to my profile! I grew up with a wide variety of pets, so I truly understand how each one has their own unique personality. I know how deserving of love every animal is, and I will do everything in my power to make your pets happy. I treat your pets as my own, while also understanding the need to accommodate to every pet's individual quirks and needs. I recently lost one of my pups to cancer, and because of this, I am really yearning for some more furry friends to meet. Maybe your pet can be my next friend! I recently lost my job, so I currently have a very open schedule! I do have a couple of established clients outside of Rover, but my schedule is still very flexible. I live in a condo-style apartment, so although I do not have a yard, I go on many walks each day- whether around my neighborhood or by driving to a park or beach. I also live just down the street from a dog park, for pups who enjoy socialization and time off-leash. Additionally, I have a patio space for pups who enjoy hanging out al fresco when the weather allows. My own pup is a bit of an escape artist, so I am extra careful with doors, gates, and secure leashing practices. I am also aware of how curious dogs can be, so in my home you can be sure of a safe environment where there are no dangers within a dog's reach (or jump). Not only do I treat your pets with love and respect, but I treat your home with the same care. You can be sure I will keep things neat and tidy, and always make an effort to leave a space cleaner than I found it. No matter the service or location, every animal deserves to feel safe, cared for, and loved. I assure you that I put all my energy into caring for your pets, and I will always treat them as I do my own.
“You can tell immediately how much Jennifer cares about animals. She is extremely professional and conscientious. Her communication is amazingly fast and concise, and she absolutely adores my little Elliot. I’m so happy I found her!”

About: I’ve been a sitter on Rover since 2017. I am a very detail oriented person so you can be assured that I won’t miss a step in your pets’ routine. During my time on Rover, I have cared for dozens of clients in various types of bookings. I'm not afraid to roll around in the grass if that means your dog is happy. I am also friendly with other pets, including cats or birds. I hope you pick me to care for your fur babies :) I currently work 8-4 Mon-Friday and will generally be unavailable during those hours. My schedule can ve flexible, so if you need someone for a lunchtime drop in, it’s possible I can make that happen. I can do really early morning visits or anytime after work. The weekends are completely open though. Walks are a standard, with permission of the owner. If not, playtime in the backyard or home will make up for it. I try to keep the pets routine as similar to their norm to reduce anxiety.

About: Growing up my family owned a welsh springer spaniel. He was one of my best friends. I felt the same excitement he did when I walked in our front door to his excited jumping. After 13 years, he passed away of old age. Since then I have wanted to get a dog of my own, but I’m waiting until my husband and I get a house to take that step. In the meantime, I love caring for other family dogs. This is a super fun side job for me. I love all types of dogs, have experience with senior dogs, and am happy to care for more than one pet from the same home (whether they be cats, dogs, hamsters, fish, etc.). If your dog is nervous around new people, I will make sure to give them the care, attention, and space that they need. I always give frequent potty breaks, feed them at their regular time, and am very careful around doorways (so no one runs off on any solo adventures!). I always do an initial home visit with my husband so I can meet your pets before setting up a first booking with a new customer. I send great picture updates, so hopefully you won’t miss your dog too much. You will undoubtedly love how passionate I am about keeping your pet in a safe, loving environment while you are away. I am currently working as an 8th grade teacher. I am able to get to your home between the hours of 4pm-10pm on weeknights. I am available all day on Saturdays. I am available Sundays after 10:30am. I am available to do home visits to feed your pets, groom with a brush/bath, play their favorite games, go on long walks or runs, and spend the night if you need a house sitter. I can also take care of other pets including cats, hamsters, fish, chickens, etc. If you need someone to water plants while you are away, I can take care of that too!
“Kelsey has been great! She has been so nice and sweet to our girl Zoe. She responds very quickly and sends pictures, it really helps. Would recommend her to anyone and will continue booking her for our girl Zoe!”

About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life, and have had an active role in their caretaking since I was 8. Neighbors, family, and friends have trusted me to take care of their pets. I have had experience with a variety of dogs, from new puppies to medically-complex older dogs. I am a current graduate student looking to care for your pets! I am available to provide morning, mid-day, and evening care, and will treat your pets like my own! I live in a very walkable area close to several parks and paths, perfect for dog walks! I can easily crate a dog if needed.
Fernwood dog parents share their Rover experiences
This is the third time we have had Emily come help take care of our dog and I have nothing but great things to share. She is always on time, sends great pictures, but most importantly I know that she is attentive to our dog and her needs. For example, a few weeks ago, Emily watched our dog for a weekend when we were out of town. At that time, I gave instructions to let the dog out in the backyard before going on the first walk of the day because our dog always has a few zoomies first thing in the morning and it will make the walk smoother. When she came to do an AM walk this time, she remembered about the zoomies and let our dog out back for a few minutes before heading out. I hadn’t remembered to remind Emily of that, so it felt great knowing that she took initiative and catered to our dog’s specific habits/needs. Additionally, I had a neighbor share (unprompted) that they noticed how wonderful the interactions were between Emily and our dog. They said that they heard Emily talking to our dog when they were together and really focused on her, not just going through the movements of taking a dog for a walk. I will continue to book Emily and can confidently recommend her.

Steven was fantastic! As a first-time dog owner, I’ve never left my puppy alone or with anyone else until now, so this was a big step for me. I’m so grateful to have found someone I (and Moose!) trust and feel comfortable with. He took great care of Moose, and it definitely showed - Moose is happy and completely worn out after the day. Thank you for taking such good care of him!
