About: Welcome to my profile! I grew up with a wide variety of pets, so I truly understand how each one has their own unique personality. I know how deserving of love every animal is, and I will do everything in my power to make your pets happy. I treat your pets as my own, while also understanding the need to accommodate to every pet's individual quirks and needs. I recently lost one of my pups to cancer, and because of this, I am really yearning for some more furry friends to meet. Maybe your pet can be my next friend! I recently lost my job, so I currently have a very open schedule! I do have a couple of established clients outside of Rover, but my schedule is still very flexible. I live in a condo-style apartment, so although I do not have a yard, I go on many walks each day- whether around my neighborhood or by driving to a park or beach. I also live just down the street from a dog park, for pups who enjoy socialization and time off-leash. Additionally, I have a patio space for pups who enjoy hanging out al fresco when the weather allows. My own pup is a bit of an escape artist, so I am extra careful with doors, gates, and secure leashing practices. I am also aware of how curious dogs can be, so in my home you can be sure of a safe environment where there are no dangers within a dog's reach (or jump). Not only do I treat your pets with love and respect, but I treat your home with the same care. You can be sure I will keep things neat and tidy, and always make an effort to leave a space cleaner than I found it. My name is Hope and I am a very passionate animal lover with over 3 years of professional dog handling experience (along with being a dog and cat mom to a 3 year old Dalmatian and 2 lovely boy cats)! Through my years working at Bay View Bark, a dog daycare/boarding facility, I have learned so much and now have a great understanding of dog behavior, body language and handling techniques. I have multiple xpens and gates to section off my home along with two entry/exit ways, one at the front and one at the back of my house. I have an unfenced front yard with a 30ft leash attached to the porch to provide free roaming if wanted! I live not even a block from Humboldt park which makes taking enriching walks very easy!

About: I have plenty of experience caring for dogs. I previously trained and raised a puppy of my own. Unfortunately he is no longer with me, and now I get my dog fix by watching them for friends and family. I’d love to care for your pet! Boarding dogs must be kid friendly as I have a dog loving 1.5y/o. I have no other pets in the home at this time. About: In 2018 all of my family moved out of the country and I began to suffer from separation anxiety and then covid happened which made it worse. My therapist suggested I become a foster parent at the humane society so I can learn to care for and let go of furry friends, and then I lost my job. Thankfully someone suggested pet sitting apps and I came across Rover. This app has helped put a little money in my pocket while doing what I love, loving and letting go. I am a big introvert so being around animals and near parks and outside by myself or with a furry pal are my favorite thing to do. I am very keen on following instructions. I don’t know if you remember or if you did this in elementary class where you wrote instructions for how to make a PB&J sandwich and some classmates even forgot to write instructions on opening the jar or grabbing a utensil to spread the jam well I was so anal that my teacher even offered me all of the sandwich she made following my instructions because I didn’t miss a beat. I have two medium and large crates handy, room dividers, leashes, food bowls, and more ready to be put to use.

This is the third time we have had Emily come help take care of our dog and I have nothing but great things to share. She is always on time, sends great pictures, but most importantly I know that she is attentive to our dog and her needs. For example, a few weeks ago, Emily watched our dog for a weekend when we were out of town. At that time, I gave instructions to let the dog out in the backyard before going on the first walk of the day because our dog always has a few zoomies first thing in the morning and it will make the walk smoother. When she came to do an AM walk this time, she remembered about the zoomies and let our dog out back for a few minutes before heading out. I hadn’t remembered to remind Emily of that, so it felt great knowing that she took initiative and catered to our dog’s specific habits/needs. Additionally, I had a neighbor share (unprompted) that they noticed how wonderful the interactions were between Emily and our dog. They said that they heard Emily talking to our dog when they were together and really focused on her, not just going through the movements of taking a dog for a walk. I will continue to book Emily and can confidently recommend her.
I have had my sweet little dog for over 15 years. No one has walked her except for family members and the people at doggy daycare. She is also deaf and partially blind. So I was extremely nervous to have somebody else walk her. But this was perfect! Leandrea did a great job with Jolie! She was on time, didn’t mind Jolie dragging her around the condo building several times, and give her kisses. It was wonderful to hear and to see Jolie happy and excited in all the pictures.

Selena is so amazing! She is super reliable and takes such good care of my puppy. She treats him like her own and he loves her so much.
