“I cannot say enough about Heather and Alex. This was the first time I had to leave my cat, Pinky, for two weeks and I was nervous. Most other 'in-home' boarders that take cats, have cats of their own, which presented a problem for me as Pink doesn't really get along with other cats. She's been declawed and I was worried that in a house with a bunch of other cats, she'd be bullied:( But Heather and Alex only commit to one Rover boarder at a time. They work from home and so one or the other of them is almost always there. Their home is spacious, clean and has a lovely large screened in area, which my girl loved. They sent plenty of updates with pictures and videos. In fact Pink looked so comfortable, I was actually getting jealous. About: I have worked fully remote for 10 years now which has given me the opportunity to devote lots of time to my own dog as well as friends and family! Experience in senior care and medications including oral and injection. Being home every day gives me lots of time for potty breaks, walks and treats. I have a dog of my own, Fern, who is a sweet and mellow 12 yo Bichon Frise. I also live blocks from the lakefront in a very dog friendly part of Bay View! I have staked leashes in both the front and back yard and am always closely supervising potty breaks and time outside. I also have a pet camera so I’m able to monitor when I’m not home for a couple hours.

About: I have taken care of dogs, cats, fish, hedgehogs, birds, you name it, ever since I was 8 years old. There is a special place in my heart for four legged friends. I am lucky to work from home so I get to spend all day with my pets and yours when they stay with me! I have experience working with dogs of all ages, light training and routine bath care. I love going out in the yard and playing with the dogs. Our fenced in yard makes it so easy to bring them out back and throw the ball around. When your pets stay with me I know how hard it can be being away, but I will provide constant photos, videos, and updates to help you feel comfortable while you are apart. I can’t wait to meet your fur babies and give them a great time during their stay. I work from home, so you can feel comfortable your pets will get constant care and attention throughout the day. The dogs get outside at 7:00am to start the day and will get walks / playtime in the yard minimum every 2 hours. We have a great neighborhood for long walks and a pretty big yard for running and playing. The dogs will be let outside for the last time around 10:00pm before winding down for bed. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of room for play. I have 1 dog and 1 cat, both are good with other dogs and cats. My dog is a 2 year old male golden retriever. He truly is the happiest dog and loves to meet new friends. Every pet that stays with us will be treated as one of our own and will have a great experience.

My own pup is a bit of an escape artist, so I am extra careful with doors, gates, and secure leashing practices. About: No kids or pets of my own and a big Jeep means my outdoorsy lifestyle is open and flexible for your fur babies. I'm experienced with dogs from all walks of life. You name it, I'm down for it. I have confident experience with reactive dogs and big breeds especially. I'm a part time barista, working mostly evenings, so morning and mid-day walks work best for me. I am available for night walks after work as well, if that works for your schedule. Weekend boarding is best with advance notice, as I occasionally pick up Friday and Saturday shifts at the coffee shop. I live on the second floor with access to a fenced in backyard. Hardwood floors in home. No kids or other pets of my own. I do have houseplants if your dog is sensitive to soils, fungus, or has a history of plant eating. About: I’ve been a sitter on Rover since 2017. I am a very detail oriented person so you can be assured that I won’t miss a step in your pets’ routine. During my time on Rover, I have cared for dozens of clients in various types of bookings. I'm not afraid to roll around in the grass if that means your dog is happy. I am also friendly with other pets, including cats or birds. I hope you pick me to care for your fur babies :) I currently work 8-4 Mon-Friday and will generally be unavailable during those hours. My schedule can ve flexible, so if you need someone for a lunchtime drop in, it’s possible I can make that happen. I can do really early morning visits or anytime after work. The weekends are completely open though. Walks are a standard, with permission of the owner. If not, playtime in the backyard or home will make up for it. I try to keep the pets routine as similar to their norm to reduce anxiety.
