“⸻ I’ve been trusting Abhay with my dog for the past four years, and I can’t recommend him enough. He is incredibly reliable and always punctual, which gives me such peace of mind. One of the things I appreciate most is his excellent communication. After each session, he provides thoughtful updates on how things went, which shows how attentive and engaged he is. On the rare occasion when there’s any uncertainty, he doesn’t hesitate to reach out for clarification, which I truly appreciated. It’s clear that he takes both his work and my dog’s well-being seriously. It’s a huge comfort knowing my dog is in such capable and caring hands.”

“I cannot recommend Jess enough! This was my first time using Rover, and I was a bit nervous, but Jess completely eased my worries. She took care of my dog on very short notice and went above and beyond to make both of us feel comfortable. She sent regular updates with photos and videos, keeping me in the loop the entire time. It was clear my dog absolutely loved her and was so well cared for. Jess’s professionalism and warmth have made me trust the Rover process entirely. I’ll definitely be booking her again!”

“Jill was prompt, very calming nature that I know my fur baby appreciated. She was there everyday when she said she would be and took wonderful care of my girl. Will book again!”

About: I have experience working with dogs and cats through pet sitting and hospital experience. I have owned dogs for the past 16 years, chinchillas for the past 5 years, and hedgehogs for the past 7 years. I am able to detect symptoms and abnormalities that may require medical attention. I enjoy bringing my pets to a variety of places such as state parks, pet stores and public pet events. I am available most weekdays and weekends. I do not mind staying over for overnight care. My time is pretty flexible for now and I am able to drive to locations within an hour radius using my own car. I have a finished basement that would be used for the pets I care for. It has a bathroom with a hand held shower for easy bathing. I have a crate available for use for dogs under 30 pounds. The basement also has direct access to the back yard for easier potty times. The temperature in the basement is cool during the summer. In the winter the temperature would be adjusted using an electric fire place. Dogs would get enrichment through daily walks, puzzle toys and trick training. Cats would have access to the whole basement to free roam but will not have access to outdoors.
“Josephine took such great care of our cats while we were away for my brother’s wedding weekend! She gave detailed reports and lots of photos to let us know how things were going with her drop in visits. She took extra care to play and pet the cats and make sure they felt comfortable while we were away. I would absolutely book her again for pet sitting when we need it.”

“Nicole was wonderful with our cats. She was attentive to their behavior and feeding, and good about letting us know when she'd be seeing them. The cats (Rufus especially) trusted her right away and looked forward to her visits.”

“Elizabeth was amazing! She left detailed feedback along with photos every-time she was with my dogs. She cleaned up any messes that were there and made sure they were truly taken care of. I will definitely use her in the future.”

About: Hi, I’m McKenzie! I’ve been around pets for most of my life and have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, personalities, and needs. As a proud dog mom to my 3-year-old French Bulldog, Prada, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member. Prada is very friendly, loves to play, and honestly, she’s my daughter in dog form! I treat every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. 🐾💕 Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I am already a dedicated dog mom to my 3-year-old French Bulldog, Prada. My day revolves around making sure she is happy, healthy, and well cared for through regular walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of attention. Since caring for pets is already a part of my everyday life, welcoming and caring for other dogs comes naturally to me. I understand the importance of providing a safe, loving, and structured environment, and I treat every pet as if they were part of my own family. Prada is very friendly, loves to play, and enjoys the company of other dogs, making our home a fun and welcoming place for your furry friend. I provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for pets in my home. I live in a spacious apartment in Randolph, which gives dogs plenty of room to move around and feel at home. For exercise and potty breaks, we regularly go on walks around the block. We also have access to a large open field where dogs can run around, play, and get their energy out. On most days, we take Prada to the dog park for additional socialization and exercise. Inside the home, dogs are treated like family. Prada is free to roam around the apartment, and visiting pets are welcome to do the same unless owners request otherwise. Prada even has her own bed, and I make sure every pet has a comfortable space to rest, relax, and feel secure. I follow each pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special instructions provided by the owner. If caring for pets in a client’s home, I will maintain their normal routine to help them feel comfortable while their owner is away. My goal is to provide attentive, reliable care and make sure every pet feels loved, safe, and happy.
About: I've had dogs since I was two, starting with a Chocolate Labrador and later getting a Yorkshire Terrier at 10, whom I've cared for ever since. I also help my sister with her pitbulls, gaining hands-on experience with different breeds and personalities. Through these years, I've developed a deep understanding of dog care, from walks to training and general well-being. As a full-time student, I have a flexible schedule with plenty of free time after classes. My Wednesdays and weekends are completely free, allowing me plenty of time to walk and care for your dog. Whether it's a midday or weekend walk, I’m available! My Chocolate Labrador loved running outdoors so our yard was fenced, allowing her to play freely. As for my Yorkshire Terrier, he prefers to stay inside so I let him just wonder around the house as he pleases and hang with me!
“Juliette is everything we needed - friendly, responsive, on time, caring to our fur baby, and communicative. She also took some of the best pictures of Chessie we've ever seen! It was fun to see the pics every day. We had peace of mind when we were away and are looking forward to having her cat sit again.”

Josephine is great with my 2 cats with very different personalities. Both the social cat and the anxious cat like her. You can tell she really loves animals. She even asked me if she could stay a few extra minutes because my cat was on her lap! And she sends TONS of amazing photos. She is my go-to pet sitter. Highly recommend.

Excellent experience with Brian! He took his time to ensure Ellie got the attention, love and care she needs. He also allowed time for her to get out her "zoomies". And he actually spent longer than the paid time with her playing and walking her. Overall, I would absolutely work with Brian again. 10/10

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
