About: I grew up with dogs and cats, and for the last 6.5 years, I’ve had the pleasure of raising my own fur child, Melli Rose. She’s a black lab (my favorite breed) and is the chillest girl to ever exist. She’s great with other animals. I recently got engaged and am looking to make a bit of money on the side to help pay for the wedding along with getting to meet new pets! I work on a hybrid schedule—3 days remote, 2 days in the office. When I’m remote, I take my dog on multiple walks a day and would love to have yours join! I firmly believe pets are royalty and deserve to be treated as such. About: I’ve had several dogs and cats to take care of since I was 5 years old. I have always loved animals and wanted to work with them in some way, so this is my way to do just that. About: I have had dogs my whole life. My job has been to feed them, give them water, clean up after them, take them for walks, and give them medication. I also currently have a senior dog, so I have some experience with them! I have experience with small and big dogs alike. I am a college student who is home for the summer, so I have full availability. During the school year, I will work around my class schedule. Evenings and weekends will be free for sure. We have a fenced yard at home. Still, I watch my dogs just in case. In spring/summer I check for ticks every time they go out. When we go on walks, I am always diligent when we pass another dog. She followed all of my care instructions very carefully and was extremely attentive to my cats’ needs while I was away. One thing that really stood out to me was how quickly she noticed an issue with my cat Bruce, who has chronic constipation. I had explained the warning signs to look out for before I left, and the very first night I was gone she noticed he was trying to use the litter box but couldn’t. She contacted me immediately, made herself available for a phone call, and followed all of the care steps I walked her through. Thankfully, Bruce improved a lot after that, and I was so grateful she caught it so early. She also sent constant updates and photos throughout the trip, so I was never left wondering how my babies were doing. Catherine house sat for two nights as well, and when I came home my apartment was exactly as I left it. I felt like my cats and home were genuinely cared for while I was away. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and compassionate pet sitter.
We instantly liked Sophia and the way she approached the dogs, a corgi and a German Shepherd, was with openness and a love of animals that showed, She cared for them for a three day stay and sent us some pics and videos with her laughing at their antics that ware great to see. She went out and played with them and gave the allergy meds to the big guy. We came home to a neat home, and a very nice and informative note. Sophia is a busy student, a young athletic sitter who can handle a dog as big as she is. We were lucky to find her and felt good knowing the pups loved her.
