“KiAnna was fantastic. Our dogs loved her, and they were in great hands when we were away. Her experience as a vet tech was highly appreciated as the dogs are old and have medication needs that she was able to handle with no problems. Looking forward to having KiAnna back again next time we are out of town!”

About: I have taken care of dogs of all kinds after I graduated from college and finally have my own place and free time. Been a professional dog sitter for 8 years. Their needs is always my priority. When I dog sitting, I don’t normally go in and out, I always make sure I stay with them because they feel lonely and nervous about their owner is not around. I am now between jobs and taking care of my dog whole day at home. He is a super friendly 11 month old Aussie. Fixed male, he loves all dogs and get along with everyone I have been sitting before. He loves when there’s other dogs around. He has no problem with sharing treats and mom’s attention. We have a 1.5 acre big backyard to let them do business, running and play fetch and I always make sure I am at the yard with them. Our neighborshood is away from traffic, quiet and safe for walking dogs. I love just looking at them for hours, pay close attention to dogs. How many time they scratch the ears and how many times they pee and poop. I am also good at cooking fresh nutritious dog meal. My dog loves chicken breast, chicken liver/beef liver, carrots, pumpkin and sweet potato meal. I hope my dog Keanu and I can make the stay feels like a vacation and fun for your dog. I have a 3 floor house with big yard, 2 people 1 dog live in the house. The whole first floor is for dogs, with big living room, couch, beds and a crate. Many windows allow them to look front yard and back yard. They can wander around to any floor and room they like, so even if they want some alone time, there are plenty of space for them. I can’t host cats due to my husband allergies, but I always love to go to your place to clean and feed the cats. I am between jobs so I am home 24/7. I go to the yard with dogs every hour to do business or play. Their schedule is always my priority. I always make sure to go to the yard with the dogs. About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and just recently welcomed two cats into my family. I know how much my pets mean to me and have always treated any animals in my care as if they were my own. Right now I am off for the summer and because I work in a school am off on holidays and weekends. Once school starts again in August a typical work day is 7am-3pm. Throughout my years of working with families came a lot of house sitting and pet sitting for them and their friends. I am always respect of other peoples homes and am more than happy to take in mail/packages and take care of plants. I will always take care of your pets like they are my own. I am reliable and communicative.

“Jessica was absolutely amazing! We were nervous to leave our pup for the first time (we were away for 8 days)-she made us feel so comfortable and at ease right away. Every day we received at least 10-20 pictures of our dog Artie. She treated him like her family:) He enjoyed walks/hikes and even introduced him to her dog and they immediately became best friends. I will definitely use her in the future. Thank you so much Jessica!!!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with 10 years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, personalities, and energy levels. From playful Goldendoodles to tiny Yorkies, I’ve had the opportunity to care for so many wonderful dogs over the years, and I truly love getting to know each one’s unique personality. I also have plenty of experience as a dog owner. I had a Yorkie for about 5 years, a Maltese who was part of my family for 15 years, and I currently have a mixed-breed pup who has been part of our family for about 2 years. Being around dogs has always been a huge part of my life, and I honestly can’t imagine it any other way! Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs who are calm and happy to lounge around, as well as high-energy pups who need lots of playtime, attention, and exercise. I’m comfortable adapting to each dog’s individual routine, personality, and needs. When your dog is in my care, they’ll be treated like one of my own—with plenty of love, attention, patience, and care. My goal is for both you and your pup to feel completely comfortable and confident while they’re with me. 🐾❤️ I’m a stay-at-home mom, which gives me a very flexible and open schedule for pet care. I’m also a part-time nursing student, but my school schedule is something I plan around, so I’m able to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I’m happy to work with your pet’s usual routine and will do my best to accommodate different schedules and needs. I’m also available for walks, drop-ins, daycare, boarding, and house sitting depending on my availability. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I understand how difficult it can be to leave your pets with someone else, so I want you to feel completely confident that they’re in good hands. I treat every dog in my care like they’re part of my own family and make sure they receive plenty of supervision, attention, exercise, and affection. I’m also happy to follow your instructions regarding feeding, medications, routines, and anything else that helps your pet feel comfortable and at home.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bloomfield
KiAnna was great with the pets as always. She took such great care of them and gave us consistent updates (even when we didn’t have enough service to respond for a few days at a time). We couldn’t recommend her enough, I think our greyhound might even be missing her a bit!! Thanks again!!

Five stars for Shelby! Responsible, kind, and great with communication. Our pup Oliver was clearly in good hands and seemed to have a 'vacation' of his own. If you’re looking for someone reliable who genuinely cares, look no further. She kept us updated on how Oliver was doing and stayed in constant communication. Highly recommend Shelby!!!

Jess was very caring and enjoyed being with Lark. She did what was asked of her and that we were very appreciative of. Our pup can be a little stubborn, so we're always thankful for other people's patience with him. I can tell she really cares for animals in general.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bloomfield walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bloomfield maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bloomfield choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
