“Sarah is amazing with my two dogs, she is very reliable and prompt as a sitter with Rover. This was my first experience using Rover and it was a huge success. My four legged fur babies absolutely loved the e time she spent with them.”

About: I am a compassionate and dependable pet owner with over a decade of professional experience caring for dogs, cats, and small animals of all ages and needs. I prioritize safety, communication, and comfort for both pets and their humans. Key Strengths - Comprehensive care: Walks, playtime, medication administration, litter maintenance, and vet and grooming appointment trip coordination. - Behavior awareness: Familiar with animal body language as well as stress reduction strategies. - Reliable and friendly communication: Timely updates with pictures and quick check-ins. - Adaptability: Experience with young animals, seniors, special diets, and pets with special needs. Pet and house sitting is a central part of my life and my full-time career. I have open availability for providing your pets with the best care and company they need. I respect both the animal’s routine and the owner’s space. I stick to their usual routines to keep everything familiar. I provide check-ins, updates, and photos during each visit, ensuring pet parents always know how their companions are doing. Cleanliness and safety are always top priorities—I make sure food and water are fresh, litter boxes, indoor and outdoor areas are tidy, and pets receive the love and reassurance they deserve.
“I am so grateful to Mickayla for ensuring my cat, Luna, was well cared for while I was out of town. I loved the photo updates each evening. She contacted me right away when there was a problem. She was professional and courteous. I recommend her highly.”

About: I grew up with dogs and cats around me since I was a baby, and have always held a special place in my heart for them. When my parents, as well as family friends, would go out of town, I would frequently be responsible for feeding the animals, taking them on walks, or simply just keeping them company. My mom is a veteranrian so I have grown up with a great role model on how to treat animals in a safe and respectful way. I am home for 2 months before my study abroad trip, Dec. 21st-Febuary 10th. I have a completely free schedule until then. I am able to provide services Monday-Sunday. I have a large backyard that I can throw toys in and have 2 other dogs that can keep them company. One is a Leonberger and the other is a Jack Russell Terrier.
“Margaret is fantastic with my puppy! Always right on time for the check-in and sends the CUTEST photos with a detailed update. It really put my mind at ease knowing my pup was in good hands while I’m at work. Highly professional and clearly a dog lover—I’ll definitely be booking them again!!”

About: I have taken care of 4 dogs at once. 3 big, 1 small. They required a lot of attention. I also had to give medication to 2 of the dogs. I enjoy spending time with dogs and fitting to their needs I have school during the weekdays from 8-9 am to 2 or 3. I am able to spent the night at peoples houses and change my schedules to fit the dogs needs. I am able to do anything that fits the owners needs. I make sure to watch the dogs often and give them attention they need.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for friends, family and neighbors. I also have volunteered at a local dog rescue, and I would walk dogs. I also volunteered for a cat shelter where I would clean and assist in enrichment activities for the cats. I am currently working a remote part time job. I have plenty of flexibility and am also an early riser. My job is flexible, and I am able to flex my hours. I always ensure that I sick to mealtime schedules and enrichment times. I will also support crate training and potty training, if needed. Making sure that your pet is supported based on their individual needs is important to me.
“Xanthia and her kids took great care of our cats while we were on vacation for a week. It is evident that they really love animals and my cats were so happy to get lots of attention while we were away. I would absolutely hire Xanthia again!”

“Katie was amazing! Katie showed up on time, was very respectful of my home and showed great understanding of just what my older senior cat needed. Katie sent me pictures at every check-in and made sure my baby was eating while I was gone ( which was my biggest concern with going away!). Thank you Katie! Will definitely be using Katie’s services again and would highly recommend.”

About: Hello! I was previously a regular house sitter, walker, day carer, and day time visitor in Seattle prior to relocating to Oregon. I'm a physical therapist with expertise in humans and was raised around caretaking for family, friends, dogs, and cats. I have my own dog named Benji who is a testament to my love and nurturing skills. I'm working part-time in the Portland area and live close to the Tualatin community park. I've cared for dogs from ranges of large and small, puppies to seniors, as well as cats. In Seattle, I spent did some puppy and behavioral training specific to potty, leash, feeding, and tricks/obedience training. I have supplies to keep your pets smelling clean and fresh for returning from adventures. My car is dog friendly with a cover if your pet likes a nearby park/trail. I'm adaptable and teachable to understand your pet's personality as I am for humans in my career. When it comes to my cats, I respect their rules and needs. I’ve done drop ins for litter boxes, cuddles, refills for food/water, and occasionally medication. For more independent cats, I try to ensure they know a human is there to care and available for affection, but will not intrude on their space. I've had my own range of cats and kittens growing up. I'm primarily available for dog/cat sitting, drop ins, and walks. Since I have my own dog, I will always ask what's comfortable to you and your pets when it comes to group walks, car rides, and introducing my dog (or not). I've previously cared for pets that benefit from social time and my dog is a great neutral friend. My daytime drop ins can be flexible as needed based on whether they just need company or more enrichment related activities to be done together. I have taught and implemented enrichment and training during my drop ins, helped resupply or clean equipment (kong's, enrichment sniffer trays, lick trays, feed machines, etc). I'm currently working part time in Portland as a physical therapist and have control over my schedule. This means I can be flexible, available first thing in the mornings or early afternoons Monday-Thursdays with notice. My weekends are updated regularly and are typically Friday-Sunday. I live with my fiancé, who’s a doctor on alternating/rotating schedules and is an amazing dog dad! That said, he would be caring for our dog when I’m with your pets, and will only join/visit in care with your consent if it's in the home or a doggy day care day. My home has a fenced backyard on a sloped decline. It's great for short runs and fetch. I also have a backyard balcony with a turf mat for those that like to sunbathe. Inside, dogs would be on the first floor and is best suited for small to medium sized dogs. Our home has hardwood floors and does not have a dedicated open area, but our suburban neighborhood is walkable, with community park and two large open fields. In your home, I'm experienced in crate training, using/setting up play pens, helping/cleaning with potty training, dog proofing, and supervising play time closely. I wouldn't leave anything harmful out that I wouldn't want my own pet near. When I'm caring for your pet, I give the same amount of love I would to my own. I understand that most behaviors from pets are always well intended and a sign of needs, so I make time and effort to understand their needs and yours as well!
“I have asked for Erich’s help watching my cat Yoko several times now, he is fantastic! Really great communication and is willing to help on short notice. Most importantly he takes great care of Yoko. Truly one of the best rover sitters I’ve ever used.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and other pets since I was young. I grew up with all types of animals, I started my own dog walking business as a teenager and have continued to care for dogs ever since. I have been working with clients both on and off Rover for more than 10 years. I’m experienced with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments, and I understand that each one has unique needs and personalities. I take pride in providing personalized, loving care to ensure every dog feels safe, happy, and comfortable. I can’t wait to meet you and your best friend, and give them the attention and affection they deserve while you’re away! I am currently working part time, so my availability is flexible and I am able to work around you and your animals needs. Since I work evenings I prioritize spending time with and exercising your animals during the day so they can rest for the few hours I’m gone. I take into consideration you and your pets routines to create a schedule and environment we’ll all feel safe in. I will take dogs on hikes or neighborhood walks but will always keep a dog on leash unless the owner is comfortable and the dog has great recall. I will not take dogs to the dog park even if they can go with their owners just as a safety precaution. I prioritize frequent communication so an owner can feel assured their pet is being taken care of in the way they feel is best.

About: HI there! I have been an animal lover and dog owner my whole life. I grew up on a farm in rural Oregon with 4 furry four- legged family members! I had a wonderful Rottweiler for 9 years and we enjoyed beautiful hikes, brisk nightly walks and serene moments at the coast. Now that he has passed, I have been the go-to for many of my friends and family when they are in need of hands-on care for their pets. I have been house/pet sitting for 6 years now and have decided to offer my services on Rover.com! I am experienced with all sizes of dogs and have a firm but gentle tone. I like to keep a tight schedule with feeding and potty time and walks are always at the top of the list!

Kate was wonderful!! She was very communicative, super kind, and Millie loved her drop in visit! Kate was also super accommodating moving the check in time as our plans changed sort of last minute and we are so thankful for knowing our pup was in great hands!!
