“Alexis was such a kind and patient sitter! She immediately knew how to handle Louis with him being so small and even cleaned up an accident he had indoors! Her dog and Louis got along so well and we would absolutely recommend Alexis to anyone looking for a great sitter!”

“Elizabeth was amazing with our two dogs. They were well cared for and loved all day long. She sent photos of them playing and having fun throughout the day as well. We will definitely be using her again and are so glad to have found someone we trust with our babies!”

“Melissa provided us with frequent pictures of our dog during his stay with her. He was clearly enjoying himself at times and resting from all that enjoyment at the other times. We would gladly use her services again. 😊”

“Lingwen was awesome! Very responsive. Ready right at drop off and pick up times. So sweet and careful with our little Princess that our puppy felt safe almost immediately after meeting her. Her place is beautiful, with plenty of space for our puppy to explore and play with others. She took great pictures and videos that kept us up to date on how our puppy was doing througout the stay. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend!”

“Our pup has enjoyed spending days with Dawn and it is especially nice for us to have a place where she can comfortably interact with young children, as we don’t have that opportunity to offer her at home. Dawn also has a great fenced in backyard with lots of interesting things to smell and ways to run around and work off energy, which is great for both our pup and for us when we pick her up and know that she’s had a fun filled active day!”

About: I have several years of experience caring for pets and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Family, friends, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and care for their pets while they are away. I am patient, dependable, and attentive to each pet’s unique personality and needs. I will always make sure your pets feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for! I have a flexible schedule and enjoy making time to care for pets throughout the week. I am available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting on most weekdays and weekends. I always make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and care while their owners are away. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in both my home and my client’s home. I pay close attention to each pet’s routine, personality, and needs to help them feel relaxed and happy. I provide lots of love, playtime, fresh water, walks, and updates so owners can feel confident their pets are in good hands.
“Mipha was only there for daycare but she seemed to settle well during and after the stay :). I'll definitely consider Andreana again for daycare or overnight. She is very quick in communication which I really appreciate.”

About: Growing up, I was lucky enough to be surrounded by dogs of all sizes and all temperaments. My family owned three dogs; 2 labs and a shih tzu. I also cared for dogs for my neighbors, friends, and family. On top of high comfortability with dogs of all shapes and sizes, I also have confidence in my abilities to build relationships with your pups, make them feel safe, and work with dogs who struggle on leash. I’m a local teacher with the summer off - I’d love to fill my time hanging out with pets! I am most available weekdays anytime before 5pm, but can make commitments after 5pm or on the weekends if you need, just schedule in advance! I enjoy being outside. Taking your pets on walks, to the park, and on hikes is how we would spend our time if you hire me!
About: I've been around dogs my entire life but have owned my own dog for the past 4 years. I am constantly watching my friend's dogs while they are away and know how important it is to have someone to trust and provide a loving and caring home away from home for your pet while you are away! I currently work from home full-time, so I'll have plenty of time to walk and play with your pup! I have a highly energetic dog, so we take several walks during the day and then I take her to nearby parks with trails after work. I'm available for boarding during the week and on weekends. I have a medium sized fenced in yard and a very sweet dog to keep your fir baby company! My dog has free reign of the house and is allowed on the furniture and sleeps in my bed but can also crate your dog if needed.
“Brenda was great! She helped us out a lot by caring for our two pups for 9 hours while we were away. They had a great time with her and her husband and we’ll be scheduling with her again!”

“Delia was absolutely fantastic taking care of our nine month old puppy Oakley. We had to travel from out of state to Massachusetts for a funeral and she kept our puppy for most of the day, keeping us updated with pictures and videos along the way. Very conscientious and easy to communicate with. Highly recommended!”

“Caroline has been great at communicating with us about scheduling drop offs and pick up. We love that Atlas can enjoy a doggie companion during his time there and that he can get some exercise by going for a walk as well.”

“I would recommend Amy & Thomas to anyone with working/guardian breeds, they are with your dogs all day and on top of everything. Dogs get access to potty breaks instantly, and get the mental enrichment they need. They are extremely welcoming, kind, and informative on how they care for your dog. I have a Doberman and if you know Dobermans, they’re a sensitive and strong breed, and very intelligent. They earned my Dobermans trust fast, and she listened for them while under their supervision. They’re educated on dog training and can handle any dog you have, very loving family to have around your pets. 11/10 care! I would book them for every occasion! :)”

“Vignesh has been amazing at watching our dog Wolfie. The walks, adventures, and activities he does with Wolfie are perfect ways to make him happy while we’re at work all day and a HUGE improvement from him staying home alone. We are so happy we found Vignesh and Peaches!”

“Amelia was great with my dog!!! Drop off and pickup were super easy, I got a bunch of pictures and he was super comfortable with her. She was super communicative, flexible, and amazing with my dog! I would definitely bring him back!”

About: I grew up in a home where we always had many animals. Because of that, caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life, and I’ve spent many years helping take care of pets at home and for family and friends. I currently have a cat named Floyd, who I recently adopted. He is very affectionate, loving, gentle, and gets along very well with other animals. I currently work from home full-time during the weekdays, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability Monday through Friday. Being home throughout the day allows me to give pets consistent attention, care, companionship, and supervision. I enjoy incorporating pet care into my daily routine and making sure animals feel comfortable, active, and well cared for while their owners are away. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Although my home does not have a fenced yard, I always take pets outside on a leash and stay with them while they enjoy time outdoors. I also enjoy taking dogs on walks and giving them plenty of attention, companionship, and supervision throughout the day.

Alexis was great with our puppy Princess! She took great photos and maintained communication throughout the day, even letting us know that our puppy wasn't eating her lunch and following our suggestion to hand feed her which did the trick! Princess came home happy. Highly recommend!

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
