“Ashlyn and her pets were fantastic with my sometimes-reactive dog. She listened to my cautious instructions and made sure my dog had a warm start-up to his week-long stay. Thank you!! Will be returning in the future :).”

About: I’ve taken care of many kinds of dogs, cats, and horses from a young age. I also have experience in dog grooming, ranging from small to large dogs. I am fluent in American Sign Language. I am flexible as I work from home. I normally check pets at least two times a day, but more check in times are available upon request. I have a friendly dog who loves to play and make new friends. He will be very helpful in helping young dogs learn how to socialize.
“Brooklyn was AMAZING! My dog has high separation anxiety and she catered to him in every way that she could to keep him comfortable. He was so content and relaxed with her plus had a great buddy to play hard with! She sent me lots of pics and kept me updated. I will absolutely use her again!”

“Anne went above and beyond assisting me. She was able to take my fur babies at the last minute. She even went and picked them up herself and took them to her house. They received lots of love and even got to sleep on the sofa. Thank you, Anne.”

“Payten is sweet, easy to work with and she is in a convenient location. Jovie was her normal self the next day rather than needing extra rest, which tells me it was a very good stay. Payten also sent me several pictures that told the story of how she was doing, but did not overwhelm me. I would be happy to use her services again.”

About: We have taken care of dogs most of our life. We’ve also became experts with senior dog care since ours has reached that stage. One is a diabetic so we understand the importance of medicine and a schedule. If your dog requires extra care, just let us know and we’ll make sure their given everything they need. Currently, we can offer service whenever you need it. We’ll be home all day to make sure your doggie gets all the attention they need to make their time away from you less stressful. We have a fenced in backyard to keep your fur baby safe, along with three other dogs to keep them company. If needed, we do have a crate that your dog can utilize while here.
About: I’ve been around pets my whole life and enjoy spoiling them. I have two dogs and a chinchilla. We’ve previously owned cats as well but don’t have any in the home currently. I work Monday through Friday and have holidays off, which gives me plenty of time to spend with our pups. When I’m not working, I love playing, cuddling, and making sure they feel loved and spoiled. I would love the opportunity to welcome your pups into our home, give them lots of attention, and make them feel like part of the family. We have a large, fenced-in backyard where dogs have plenty of space to run, play, and explore. The yard is enclosed with a 5-foot chain-link fence to help keep everyone safe, including our dog Pepper, who loves to jump. We’re located in a quiet subdivision outside of town, away from busy highways, allowing us to provide a peaceful and secure environment for your pups to enjoy.
“Brooke took care of my 2 cats for 5 days and treated them the same as if they were her own. She is very knowledgeable about feline behavior and tuned into the adjustment process they were going through being in a new place. I was very impressed with the way she helped my kitties feel safe, calm, and entertained like spaces they could have privacy, a cat tree to play or sleep on, and assorted toys (they loved the robot laser!). We clarified how frequently I wished to be updated on how they were doing and she gave me details about their activity, eating and drinking, and when she tucked them in for the night. Highly recommend and will undoubtedly hire Brooke again.”

“Mickayla and her family were absolutely awesome to leave our dog with! She was very good about keeping us informed and sent us many photos and updates. Our dog had a blast and I felt very confident she was in good hands the entire time. Highly recommend!”

About: My financee, Garrett, and I have cared for the wellbeing of several types of dogs since we were children. We live together, but it will primarily be me who is home with the dogs and if you need help in your home, it will always be me you will speak too. We have two fur babies together and would love to help you care for yours! I work 3 minutes from home and can usually return with in a few hours on days when I have to go to the office, which is fairly rare. I do work a 9-5, but I work hybrid remote. I have a fully privacy fenced in back yard. I let my own dogs out every 3-5 hours for the bathroom, as they are grown and do not need let out much, but I am able to accomodate any bathroom schedule necessary. I am able to keep a meds and feeding schedule as well as an exercise schedule easily with my job flexabilty. Our dogs sleep with us and eat twice a day. We keep a clean, happy home and love to let our dogs out back to run and play often! In the evenings, my fiancee and I can walk your dog or dogs with our own babies as we have multiple leashes with dual or multi-capacity.
“Olivia was the most welcoming boarder! My dog even had a hard time saying bye to her. She provided photos and messages on a semi daily basis and was available for any inquiries I had. I will definitely book Olivia for our next boarding need.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs for most of my adult years. I have had all of my dogs from the time they were small puppies until they have become adult and senior dogs. I have worked with both large and small breeds, such as Beagles and German Shepherds. I currently foster/volunteer for Rescue One and enjoy every minute of it. To ensure you and your pet are comfortable, I provide a free meet and greet. I am available early mornings, late afternoons, and evenings during the week. I am more flexible with times on the weekends. However, please feel free to message your needs and I will see if I can accommodate. I am accustomed to set schedules with pets, enrichment, and exercise. I practice strict leash security and will double check all gates, fence, and doors before leaving. There will be 100% transparency and regular, proactive communication with frequent updates and photos or videos. I will adhere to all instructions and specific routines and rules. I am always prompt and respectful.
About: Walking, bathing, and hanging out with dogs is some of my favorite downtime activities. Growing up with a dog I learned all the necessary skills to watch over a dog. I even volunteered at the humane society in both the dog and cat area for four years! I am currently a teacher so I work from 7-4pm Monday through Friday, but if you need someone to walk your dog at night or house sit for the weekend or even a week night, I am your person! My husband also works from home so if you’re boarding during the week day he is also here to help out if needed. Whatever you need me to do is what I will follow. I will come to your place as my animals do not take well to strangers. But rest assured I will take great care of your animal, in whatever capacity you need. At our home we two cats that do well with other dogs but tend to ignore them, and one dog who LOVES other dogs so no worries there.
About: From growing up with dogs to living and working at a mastiff rescue, and now sharing a life with my goofy, sweet blue heeler, Simone, my love for and experience with dogs runs deep. As a good friend once said, dogs can’t lie, and we can’t lie to them. Building trust is my first priority. I have a flexible work schedule with lots of daytime availability and am often available for overnights with notice. Weekdays and weekends open for scheduling. I have a large, fenced yard and a dog door in and out of the house with the option to close-off if necessary. I have one dog who loves new friends and sharing her toys.
“Our dog had a return visit with Kim and he had a great time! He’s made friends with her dog Benny and they loved playing and wearing each other out. I really appreciate that she sends updates and pictures throughout the stay and has been flexible and easy to work with. We are so thankful to have found her since we don’t have any family in town to watch our dog when we need to travel. Thanks Kim!!”

About: I’ve spent most of my life caring for dogs and cats and currently have two Australian Shepherds that I’ve raised since they were young. That experience has given me a strong foundation in daily care, structure, and understanding the needs of active intelligent dogs including consistent routines, exercise, grooming, feeding, and creating a stable and low stress environment. I take a calm, attentive, and highly observant approach to animal care. I pay close attention to behavior, comfort levels, and routine details and I adjust my care to match each pet’s individual personality and needs. My focus is always on maintaining familiarity and consistency so pets feel secure while their owners are away. I provide walks, drop in visits, daycare, and overnight care with an emphasis on reliability, communication, and thoughtful care. I do not believe in a one size fits all approach and each pet receives individualized attention based on what keeps them happiest and most comfortable. My goal is simple to be a dependable steady presence that pet owners can trust completely knowing their pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine, and my schedule is flexible, which allows me to provide consistent care throughout the day. I am able to offer walks, potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and attentive check ins based on each pet’s needs. I have experience caring for many pets, and I am used to maintaining structure, recognizing behavior cues, and keeping pets comfortable, active, and engaged. I focus on providing a calm and reliable presence so pets feel secure while their owners are away, and I aim to keep their routine as consistent and stress free as possible. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for them in your home or providing walks and drop-in visits, I’ll follow their routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise, and any special instructions you provide. I believe consistency helps pets feel secure while their owners are away. I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and supervision, and I’ll always treat your home and pet with the same care and respect I would my own.
“We left our dog here for the weekend with Laura and Nash and Laura sent us videos and pictures the entire time! Ozzy had a great time and is pooped from playing all weekend. She even brushed him before we picked him up, which was super nice! Will definitely use Laura again :)”

About: Hello, I currently have a work-from-home job. I have two amazing fur babies, Milo (Augi) and Mila (Corgi). Milo is 10 years old, and Mila is 6 years old. They are great with other dogs. Milo is very social and always wants to make new friends. Mila can be social but is mostly attached to my side. I am great with dogs and would love the opportunity to care for your fur babies. I do work from home and I am unable to visit during the day, but in the evenings, I am available for visits, walks, scratches, and snoot boops if needed. I have a huge backyard that my kiddos (dogs) love to play in. It is fenced in and secure. If they misbehave, which is rare, I never say "bad boy/girl". I use words like "That was not a good boy/girl." My family calls me a millennial parent as I use positive words/phrases when disciplining. They are crate-trained and do love their kennel. I have a large kennel if needed for a safe space.
“We had to go out of town last minute and Tracy was quick to respond to our messages. She even offered for a meet and greet even though it was such short notice. She was so kind and our pup Churro had such a fun time at her place with her two dogs. We are so happy we found her and we will definitely be using her again in the future!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
