About: NOTE: I work weekdays throughout the school year. Still available, but pets will be at home without me on weekdays for about 7 hours. I have owned and cared for dogs for over 25 years. I have cared for small dogs <25 pounds all the way up to large sized Great Danes > 200 pounds. I have been fostering dogs for Safe Paws Iowa for the past 3 years. I am available for a large portion of the summer because I only coach softball outside of the school year. I am very active and would love to share that energy with dogs! Walking, jogging, or just playing in the doggy pool is no issue at all. I currently have two dogs of my own. They can play all together or be kept separated! I also have experience giving dogs meds as some of the dogs in my care have different long term conditions. Can’t wait to meet your precious pups! Please contact me if you have any remaining questions! I am mostly free over the summer and weekends. I run errands or make plans outside of when I’m taking care of pets. Pet care is my priority while hosting! I have a fenced in yard, my own dogs to join in play if wanted, I have gates/doors and a finished lower level where I can separate dogs if need be, and have multiple kennels. I allow my dogs on furniture, but can follow owner house rules.

“I was in DSM for a short trip and needed a last minute sitter for my dog Louie and was so lucky to find Kevin had availability to take him for a whole day. I didn’t have time to do a meet and greet, I just trusted the reviews he already had and they are all on point. From start to finish Kevin was responsive, respectful and responsible with me and my dog. I would trust him over and over if I lived in DSM. Highly recommended!”

“This was an amazing experience! I needed to make a trip to Ankeny and couldn’t leave my dog home for that long of a time so I hopped on this app and found her, so glad I did! He was a little scared at first but shortly made himself at home. Good communication and she sent photos! Made me feel good 💕I will be contacting Meagan again!”

About: Hi, I’m Vanessa, a pet lover with experience caring for puppies, middle-aged pups, seniors, and cats of all kinds! 🐾 From energetic playtime to structured routines and gentle senior care, I adapt to every stage of your pet’s life. Whether they need exercise, meds, snuggles, or space, I’m here to give them the love and attention they deserve. I treat every pet like family and keep you updated with plenty of pics 📸 and peace of mind. Let’s make your pet’s day paws-itively perfect! Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I work from home, which gives me the flexibility to adjust my schedule around appointments and stays. I’m used to juggling responsibilities- between my own cats and kids in youth sports, I’ve mastered the art of time management and staying on top of routines. Because I already care for animals at home, I understand how important consistency, communication, and attention to detail are. I make caring for each pet part of my day like second nature, always ensuring they get the quality time and attention they deserve. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for them in your home or mine, I create a calm, secure, and pet-friendly environment tailored to their needs. I follow routines closely, keep a clean and hazard-free space, and always treat pets with kindness, patience, and respect. I take trust seriously; communicating clearly, sharing regular updates, and making sure you feel confident that your furry friend is in caring, capable hands at all times.

About: I have lots of experience with dogs of all ages (my corgi, Vinnie had some back and hip issues at the end of his life) and all sizes. I grew up with labs and had my corgi for nearly 10 years. I have helped friends and family care for their dogs over the past 20 years. While I have not cared for strangers’ dogs, I love every pet I come into contact with like family and treat them as such. I have also recently volunteered with the ARL which gave me experience caring for many different breeds and varying needs. I work from home and would care for your pet throughout the day! I am willing to do long and short walks, or just play with your pet! Playing, cuddles, walks, potty breaks, whatever they need! I am very good at recognizing the tells for various dogs. I can usually tell when they need to go outside, need water or are anxious. I will adjust to what the dogs need and am a very open communicator. My house is clean, and safe for pets. I do have stairs in my home, but am willing to work with dogs who need additional support.

“Paige and her husband took wonderful care of Sam! I was so excited to find a sitter who works from home and doesn’t have their own pets as these are two requirements as my dog has extreme separation anxiety (needs to be with a human) and is other pet/animal reactive. I look forward to the next time Paige dogsits Sam as I know he is in good hands.”

Amber J.
“Amber has an amazing heart and passion for dogs. We have 3 Great Danes and a puggle that Amber has taken care of for us many times and they love her. They get so excited to see her, knowing that all her attention is wrapped into them. They can't wait for her to take them for a walk or just play for the afternoon or weekend overnight. They are all quite large dogs (average of 155 lbs a piece) but Amber knows just how to handle them. I recommend Amber highly to take care of anyone's dog and trust her to give the best care each and every time! I also trust her to stay in our home with no hesitation she is very trustworthy.”

“There are very few that I would leave my sweet babies to, but Vanessa and Tate would be at the top of the list. Vanessa is so organized, loving, and always educating herself to keep up. I highly recommend her.”

Kayla G.Star Sitter
“If animals could write reviews, they’d all give Kayla five paws! 🐾 She’s one of those rare people who animals instantly trust—like she speaks their language or has a built-in treat dispenser (she doesn’t, I checked). She’s incredibly attentive, always tuned into their needs, and is happy to keep them active in the yard or give them a lil' cuddle on the couch. Kayla is also one of the most reliable, kind, and punctual people I know. I’d trust her with any pet—mine included—in a heartbeat!”
