About: NOTE: Off during summer, but I work weekdays throughout the school year. Still available during school, but pets will be at home without me on weekdays for about 7 hours. I have owned and cared for dogs for over 25 years. I have cared for small dogs <25 pounds all the way up to large sized Great Danes > 200 pounds. I have been fostering dogs for Safe Paws Iowa for the past 4 years. I am available for a large portion of the summer because I only coach softball outside of the school year. I am very active and would love to share that energy with dogs! Walking, jogging, or just playing in the doggy pool is no issue at all. My Golden loves to play if yours does! If not, I have the space to separate dogs too. Lastly, I have experience giving dogs meds as some of the dogs in my care have different long term conditions. Please reach out with any questions! About: Not only have I had my own animals most of my life but for 3 or 4 years I was also a foster home for the breed Weimaraner. Animals are like my kids and so will be your animals. Would prefer to discuss with each animal owner what is needed as I work full time but I am flexible so would like to be contacted. About: Spending time and interacting with animals has always been a passion of mine. Over the years I helped my grandma run her dog sitting service, taking the dogs for walks and cleaning up the kennels. About: Growing up I have lived with dogs of all sizes and other animals such as farm animals my entire life. I know how to care for a pet to give them the best life possible, including all needed medications. Pets are family and they bring a lot of joy and meaning into our lives. I have had many dogs growing up over the years and have a friendly long haired dachshund wiener dog of my own! I’m very close to my neighborhood dog park and have side walks I could easily take the dogs for a nice little stroll around the block. I’m able to crate your dog to fit their needs, schedule, and preferences. There is always water available, and will check by the hour for bathroom breaks, and can send you pictures and videos every few hours to inform you on how everything is going. About: I have personally had a pet or 3 since I was 13 years old. I begged for a cat for years and once I got one, I never have been without at least one pet. I have been volunteering with the ARL since 2005. I have had 30+ foster dogs through them as well. I just love animals. I do have weekends blocked but just ask about availability! I am retired. I enjoy going for walks with dogs and depending on the dog spending time outside in my fenced in backyard. I have a 6 foot fence. Your dog will have the ability to be part of our family and our family pets are on our furniture. We do separate our home animals, fosters and house guests at night. The "regulars" get to sleep in our beds while our guests get other accommodations. It makes for better harmony for us. Because we foster on a regular basis our animals are very used to different dogs coming into our home. Our home is pretty quiet and relaxing.

We got him when he was very young and he loved to an old age for a lab, so I have experience with both young and old dogs. About: Spending time and interacting with animals has always been a passion of mine. Over the years I helped my grandma run her dog sitting service, taking the dogs for walks and cleaning up the kennels. I also enjoy being outside and taking my own dog for long walks and fun trips to the dog park. My dog is a family member and I intend on treating yours the same way. About: I've owned multiple senior dogs, and volunteered at the ARL dog shelter. I am more experienced with cats, but am willing to work with dogs as well, especially if they're easy going. I'm currently attending college, so for the summer my schedule is pretty much open! I can work anytime of day, and am able to work holidays. I have experience working with senior and sickly pets, as well as some experience with kittens. If you have a cat who is harness trained I would be happy to take them on walks.
About: I’ve been fostering adult dogs for the ARL for the last few years and have had so much fun getting to learn about a variety of breeds, personalities and behaviors. I’ve also had many pets throughout my life, including my current fur babies Raven (dog) and Lilo (cat). I’m currently working as a freelancer and am available throughout the day. I do participate in recreational sports on some evenings, otherwise I can be very flexible! I love to be outside and enjoy nothing more than letting dogs unwind on a long walk. I’m also happy to play fetch or tug, go to a nearby park or engage in whatever style of play your pup prefers.
