About: Hi there, I am new to Rover but all my life I have loved and cared for animals. I got my first kitten when I was five and in my adult life expanded that love and care to dogs. I currently do not have one of my own but I am a volunteer dog walker at an animal shelter. Throughout my adult life I have had wonderful neighbors with whom we have traded dog walking and overnight care with while traveling. Now that I am newly retired I am looking to expand my time and attention to pet parents living in Annandale and Clinton. I am available to drop in, walk and play with your best friend in your neighborhood, and I can stay overnight while you are out of town to keep your dog safe and secure in their known environment. I am also happy to assist with simple chores in your home such as taking care of plants, retrieving mail and any other small but important tasks. I am also willing to board dogs and cats in my home if that is more convenient for pet parents. I am newly retired so have a fairly flexible schedule. I do stay engaged with other activities and travel, so scheduling in advance is very important to me so that when I do schedule care for a pet I want to be sure I have the time to give them the full love and attention they deserve. I am very active for my age in that I run, swim, bike and play pickleball for exercise. Rest assured I am fit enough to handle any dog on a leash. The shelter I volunteer at I deal with a variety of dog personalities and energy levels and adjust accordingly. We have a natural, wild area partially in the back and to the side of our home so there is plenty of open space. I have walked many miles throughout my friendly neighborhood streets walking my previous dogs and my neighbor's dog. While in a client's home I am willing to adhere to any schedule the pet parents desire. I am very conscientious of physical security of my property and that of others.

About: I’ve had pets my whole life. At least two dogs for as long as I can remember, but currently (and for quite some time) I have four dogs and two cats. I’ve helped train my pets from puppies and cared for them as senior so I have experience in every aspect of dogs’ and cats’ lives.
