I live and work at the same place, which gives me the flexibility to provide dependable and attentive care for your pet throughout the day. I travel too often to have one of my own, and I truly miss the love and companionship animals bring. Caring for pets through Rover fills that gap in my life while allowing me to be a reliable, scheduled support for you. Whether it’s morning walks, evening check-ins, or weekend stays, I’m here to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and right at home.

Information Bridget I. would like to know about your pet

To give your pet the best care possible, it’s important for me to know: Personality and Temperament: Are they shy, energetic, cuddly, anxious, or territorial? How do they react to new people or other animals? Health Needs: Any medical conditions, medications, allergies, or past injuries I should be aware of? Feeding Routine: What, when, and how much do they eat? Any special treats or dietary restrictions? Can they have treats? Bathroom Habits: How often do they need potty breaks? Are they fully house-trained or on a specific schedule? Are wee-wee pads needed? Exercise Needs: How much activity do they need? Favorite toys or games? Commands and Training: What commands do they know or respond to? Any habits you're working on (like not jumping or leash pulling)? Triggers or Fears: Are there things that upset them—like loud noises, vacuum cleaners, or strangers? Emergency Contacts: Your vet's info, and what you'd like me to do in case of emergency. The more I know, the more your pet can feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away!

A typical day

Each day will be tailored to your pet's needs and personality! Typically, I start the morning with feeding and a potty break or short walk. If your pet enjoys exercise, we'll go for a longer walk or play fetch in the yard or park. I make sure to keep their routine as close to normal as possible to reduce any stress while you're away. Fun Activities: Walks and Exploration: For dogs who love the outdoors, we’ll go on walks, sniff around the neighborhood, and maybe even visit a dog-friendly trail (with your permission). Playtime: Tug-of-war, fetch, or laser pointer games for cats—whatever your pet enjoys most! Cuddles and Companionship: For pets that prefer cozy time, we’ll relax together with plenty of pets, brushing, or belly rubs. Training and Enrichment: If they like learning, I’ll reinforce basic commands or offer puzzle toys for mental stimulation. Photos and Updates: I’ll send daily photos and updates so you can see how much fun your pet is having!

Bridget and I were unable to meet, due to a last-minute booking, before she agreed to housesitting with my cat Lily. However, that was not an issue at all because she was very communicative and open with me with any problems in her stay. From the photos that I received, it was obvious that Lily trusted her and enjoyed her company, which is any pet parents first concern. On the last day, although I told her that she did not need to do any of it, she washed the linens from her bedroom, as as well as as the previous sitters bedroom linens, all the towels, the shower curtain, and it was obvious that she had cleaned the bathroom and the kitchen spaces as well. This was above and beyond, but I think it goes to show her attention to detail and her desire to leave your home in the same or better condition than she found it. I would not hesitate to reach out to Bridget again when I have to travel.
