About: I have always loved dogs and I have decided that I want to be around dogs in my free time because it makes me happy! I am a soon to be retired school teacher and want to spend my time now with animals especially dogs! For the next 10 months I will be still working my teacher schedule and would like to get a head start on my next venture. I would be available for dog sitting on weekends and dog walks after 3pm during the work week and anytime over weekends. I have always had a dog growing up and very lovingly cared for my own dogs for the last 31 years. I enjoy being around all dogs. When I retire I would also like to volunteer somewhere for dogs. I am a retired school teacher and I am substituting teaching part time. So, I am available most days unless I have a sub job. I really enjoy being around dogs and cats. Lauren was absolutely amazing! She cared for my three cats every day for two weeks while I was out of the country, and I truly felt completely at ease knowing they were with her. She was incredibly attentive by feeding them, playing with them every day, and consistently sending me photos and updates so I always knew how they were doing. She also went above and beyond the basic visits. Since I was away for so long, she was thoughtful about things like the temperature inside the house, taking out the trash, and making sure the litter and home stayed clean and fresh. It also seemed like she often stayed beyond the scheduled 30 minutes just to give the cats extra attention, which I really appreciated. sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
