Hello! My name is Kenzie, and I’m a zookeeper with a lifelong passion for animals of all kinds! Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of species, with giraffes being my specialty. Working in animal care has taught me the importance of adaptability, patience, and individualized care. I have extensive experience with daily care and feeding, administering medications, following medical procedures, and safely relocating animals when needed. I love knowing all the little quirks that make your baby unique, what kind of scratches they like, which toys are their favorite etc. The more I know about their needs the more fun we can have together! Above all, I have a huge heart for animals and make their comfort, safety, and individual needs my top priority. I’m available for flexible drop-in visits as well as dog walking, and I would love the opportunity to care for your critters like they’re my own!

At home, I’m also a proud cat mom to two rescue cats, each with their own unique health needs that I manage alongside them. I’m especially passionate about choice-based and cooperative care, and I bring that same philosophy to every animal I work with. I’m very comfortable caring for nervous or shy animals and will always respect their boundaries and give them space when they need it. On the other hand, I’m a big animal lover, so if your critter is looking for some extra cuddles and affection, I’m always happy to oblige!

She has cared for my cats on multiple occasions, and I’ve always been impressed by how attentive, patient, and thoughtful she is with them. What really sets Mackenzie apart is her professional animal care experience. Before moving to Georgia, she worked with animals at both ZooTampa and Busch Gardens in Tampa. That experience gave her a level of knowledge about animal behavior, enrichment, safety, and proper care that goes well beyond simply being an animal lover. She pays attention to each animal’s individual personality and needs, and she takes the responsibility of caring for someone else’s pets seriously. I always feel completely comfortable knowing my cats are in her care. Yes, I’m her dad, so I may be a little biased, but I’ve also seen firsthand both the professional experience and genuine love for animals she brings to this work. I wouldn’t hesitate to trust her with my pets, and I think her Rover clients will quickly feel the same way.
Mackenzie is wonderful with all animals. She is caring, patient, responsible, and genuinely loves spending time with pets. Kenzie watched my 4 huskies last month. She was amazing! She followed my written instructions pertaining to my dog’s strict medication schedule. She sent me multiple photos a day of them and their shenanigans. 10/10 would recommend.
Kenzie was absolutely wonderful with my cats! She was caring, attentive, and kept me updated while I was away, which gave me so much peace of mind. I came home to happy, well-cared-for cats, and I could tell they were comfortable and loved. I would definitely recommend Kenzie and will happily have her watch my cats again!
Mackenzie did a phenomenal job taking care of my two cats. They both have stomach issues and she did a great job administering their medication on time. She is incredibly punctual and truly cared for the well being of my cats. I could not recommend her service enough!

I am very flexible with my schedule and do my best to accommodate the needs of both my clients and their critters! I’m happy to work around your schedule and find a routine that works best for you and your pet, while always making sure they receive the time, attention, and care they deserve.
