About: I work from home and would love to host and care for your fur babies while you are at work or away on vacation. I have loved animals of all types my entire life. My husband and I formerly rescued and fostered multiple rat terriers and placed them in loving homes through an organization called New Rattitude. I currently have a volunteer position with the same organization as a microchip coordinator. While I was in high school and college I worked for two animal clinics in the Metro Atlanta area and volunteered with local animal shelters. My family pets over the past 22 years were 2 Rat Terriers and 2 Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mixes that all lived to be seniors. I have experience in caring for dogs of all ages. Since I am at home so much, your dogs will be not be lonely, they will be doted on and treated like royalty. I have a large fenced in yard for sniffing, exercise and exploration. I only take one client at a time. I do not have any pets of my own currently, Yours will have my undivided attention and care. I will update you with photos and status reports on a daily basis. Since I work from home, I will keep your dog on any required schedule such as medications, supplements, specific feeding times, and potty breaks. Playtimes and naptimes will be intermittent throughout the day. I have comfy doggie beds throughout the house and under my office desk. My home is clean and safe. I have a secure, fenced in yard with many areas to explore and space to run around. All gates are padlocked. I also stay outside with the dogs that are in my care. I have also dealt with animals with special needs including my family dog that has seizures and another family dog that is deaf, blind and has to receive insulin injections after every meal. I work a hybrid schedule, which gives me flexibility to provide pets with plenty of attention, potty breaks, walks, feeding, and companionship throughout the day. On days I work from home (which is Monday, Thursday and Friday) I’m able to be present and attentive, and on office days (Tuesdays and Wednesday's) I plan my schedule carefully to ensure pets receive the care they need. As a pet owner myself, caring for animals is already a part of my everyday life. I treat my mini dachshund like he is my child. I enjoy spending time with pets, whether that’s going for walks, going to the park, playing, providing cuddles, or simply keeping them company. I also have a nanny cam that I check in on when I am away. I prioritize reliability, communication, and making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. As a mini dachshund owner, I know how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pet. I treat every pet like they’re my own and make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, love, and care while you’re away. I’ve cared for friends’ dogs in my home before and always work to make them feel comfortable by sticking to their normal routines as much as possible. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I tailor my care to each pet’s needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their usual schedule and any specific instructions to help their pet feel safe, comfortable, and stress free. I also provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pets are in good hands.
