I believe dogs thrive when they experience new encounters, and I work those moments of enrichment into every week. I live in a spacious, first-floor apartment with direct access to a secure patio and a neighborhood dog park—just steps outside my door. This makes potty breaks, quick outdoor play/walks, and socialization seamless and stress-free. Every day, our neighborhood hosts friendly dog meetups with well-behaved pups, offering perfect opportunities for your dog to engage with others in a safe environment. Inside my home, dogs will find a clean, calm, and organized space with plenty of enrichment. I have a variety of toys, training tools, puzzles, and games to ensure your dog stays mentally and physically stimulated—the goal is for no boredom and anxiety. I also keep a full range of grooming and cleaning supplies on hand, so whether your dog needs a simple wipe-down or a post-adventure bath, I’ve got it covered. I am well-versed in training methods and behavior management, so if your pup has specific routines or commands, I likely already have the knowledge and equipment to maintain their structure. I’m happy to reinforce crate training, leash manners, or any custom instructions you provide to ensure consistency while you’re away. I also have a well-socialized golden retriever mix who’s incredibly calm, friendly, and trained to model great behavior for other dogs. If your dog enjoys companionship, mine makes an excellent playmate. If needed, I can crate or separate the dogs for one-on-one attention or downtime—your dog’s comfort and safety always come first.

About: I've had both small and large dogs since I was a kid. My sister had a Golden Retriever service dog most of my childhood and I was able to pick up on dog behaviors very quickly. I currently have a 7 month old miniature dachshund named Ozzy who I have raised and trained since 8 weeks old. I'm very comfortable with puppies and can crate your pet if necessary! I am able to devote my entire day to making your pet comfy! I can also run out and take your pet's on a walk, pretty much any time of day! I have a full fenced backyard and a 2 bedroom house that can be used to separate animals as necessary! I will have my dog and two adult cats around who are happy to give a new friend a cuddle or an engaging play time!

“Wow - Joey was sincerely the greatest. His meet and greet was very comforting, and we face a lot of information. He made careful note of it all and then sent a summary message to me in river as we got closer to the trip if all the things I had discussed. We were then continuously at ease about pers as the days away went on. I love the rover app showing the walk distance and time spent. The videos he sent were really fun to watch, and he always gave a digestible but detailed report after each visit, again being careful to mention many of my notes throughout reassuring me that all was being handled. About: I have grown up with dogs and to this day will stop anything to pet a random dog that I see. My first "job" was going around offering to walk or bathe my neighbor's dogs when I was seven. I went to agility/training camps and my house has never been without a dog (or two)!! Whether we are lounging at home or out and about on a walk/hike, being with your precious pets will make me so happy! I am here until mid-August when I’ll be moving away for college (Sewanee, TN) and have an abundance of free time until then :) Every dog has different needs and is used to a different lifestyle so I will accommodate for what they need! I will go for walks/hikes, throw a ball, take them outside, feed them, provide water at all times, and even go on special trips :) I would be happy to bathe or groom them as well and give any meds they may need! If they just appreciate some human company, then I am happy to provide many cuddles and pets :)

About: I'm a lifelong dog lover — I've cared for dogs of all ages, from senior pups who need a little extra TLC to high-energy dogs who love to run and play. As a self-proclaimed dog person, I can't wait to shower your furry friend with love and attention until you're reunited. Because I work from home and have two dogs, I'm around most of the time. It's rare for me to be away from the house for more than a couple of hours, and if your pet needs full-time attention, I can make it work. I have a fenced yard that's been well battle-tested by my own dogs. I love staying active, so I'm happy to take your dog on a good morning walk or spend extra time stretching those legs in the backyard. As a very attached dog owner myself, I know how good it is to hear that things are going well, so I'm happy to send as many or as few photos as you'd like.

About: I’ve been a walker with WAG for the last 5 years and I’m looking to expand my customer base. I would say my best quality as a pet care giver is that I pay attention and have great supervision skills. I work full time with adolescent boys in foster care Sunday Monday and Tuesday. This leave me with a lot of time to fill walking your pup. I have been doing this with Wag for a long time. If your pet is in my home I will spoil them with walks, exercise and a routine. When I come to your home I follow your instructions exactly and will have the upmost respect for your space.

About: I have been a pet owner for most of my life and my family trusts me to take care of and walk their pets for them as I have shown that I care not only about the animals but also about providing service for those in my community. I am a college student on my summer break so I have a lot of free time throughout the week including weekends to do pet care. I will be respectful of your home and your rules and make sure your pet is safe, fed and walked while they are under my care.
