“Giovana and her family were so wonderful with Skye. I couldn’t have asked for a better puppy sitter. Thank you so much for treating Skye like he was part of your family. If I need a sitter again, hopefully you are available. 😁”

“This was the first time we used Rover. We left Gunner for a daycare day to start. Carolyn and Kristopher were great with Gunner. Carolyn wrote down all the details of Gunner’s normal routine and his particular needs. He came home very tired which was a win. We will be using them again in February for a longer stay. So thankful we found such wonderful people to leave him with.”

“I used Mike's doggy daycare services and was very happy, but most importantly my labradoodle Doug loves spending time there! Mike is very good with the dogs. They are very calm and happy in his care. Doug got plenty of play time, and returned home content and ready for a nap. I also loved getting the photos and videos throughout the day. I will definitely be using Mike's services again!”
“Fantastic. I had very short notice and Jessica and her husband were super accommodating. Alpine must have had a great time. He wore himself out playing with the other pups! Thanks a million. As a first time Rover user, this was an excellent experience.”

“I cannot thank Emily enough for taking care of Mikko. We had never brought him to daycare or boarding before, and she suggested a handful of ideas to help him adjust to them. She cracked the code on how to cure his separation anxiety and kept him comfortable. We are SO happy we found Emily!”

“Kendra and her headband were great! They shared photos, had good communication and were flexible for a last minute sit. Atlas looked like he had a great time. We will definitely use them again!”

“Hopps has enjoyed his days with Kara and the family. He looks forward to playing in the yard with Oscar, walks with the kiddos and having someone to follow around all day. Kara is so great at documenting the day with pictures and reporting on his activities. I know he’s in good hands 😊”
“Russell and Linda took our dog on short notice. They were a big help. They have a lovely fenced yard and safe protocols in place. He was happy and safe when we picked him up.”

“Snow had a good time over at their place, I was going to be busy with work for the whole day and I found them available the day before. They sent pictures of her during her stay as well. Overall, Snow's satisfied so I am too.”

“Caleb is a wonderful care taker for pups! He took time to understand our dog, and sent updates. Our pup takes time to build trust as a rescue stray, and he let Caleb touch him on day 1. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover and currently have two toy poodles who are our world. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to know your dog is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I work from home, so your pup will get plenty of attention, supervision, and frequent potty breaks throughout the day. We also have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor play and exercise. I follow each dog’s normal routine as closely as possible and provide daily photo and video updates for peace of mind. My goal is to make your dog feel like they’re on their own little vacation while you’re away! 🐾 My husband and I both work from home, so your dogs will definitely not be lonely during the day! We are able to give frequent walks, potty breaks and play time, and lots of snuggles! Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor play and two friendly toy poodles who enjoy the company of other dogs. I closely supervise all interactions and work to make sure every pet feels comfortable and secure. If your dog is crate-trained or needs to be crated, I can accommodate that as well. Dogs are welcome on our couches and, if that’s what they’re used to at home, they’re welcome to sleep on the bed at night, too. I do my best to follow your dog’s normal routine so they feel safe, relaxed, and right at home while you’re away.
“Karen and her family are absolutely wonderful! She gives us such piece of mind with her knowledge and experience with dogs. I’m an anxious dog mom and I have never once questioned the high quality of care she provides. Wonderful as always - she is our top choice of sitter!”

“Tofte is always so happy to get to Bethany's. Sometimes he isn't sure if he is ready to leave at the end of the day which is a great sign. On nice days like today, spending time exploring and playing in Bethany's fenced in back yard is a treat!”

About: Your pup will be the only one in our care during their stay! They will get all the cuddles, all the love, all the attention and all the things! They will enjoy our fenced in backyard and will be allowed to roam through our entire home. Jazmin is a college student home for the summer, and is in her 3rd year. She is on the deans list, and committed to getting good grades, being reliable and dependable, and willing to help provide a loving home for your pet! Jazmin will be away starting mid-August and since our family enjoyed every single dog we had over the summer, Mary has decided to continue providing care to help offset college expenses. Mary works from home, so your pup will never be alone for more than a couple hours if needed to run errands. We had a boxer that we raised from 10 weeks old to 12 years old. Unfortunately she was laid to rest in February 25, so your pet will be given a lot of love and affection and help fill our empty home. We have experience with puppy's all the way to senior dogs who are blind, deaf, diabetic, have seizures, etc. We have watched family's, neighbors, and friends dogs. We would be honored for you to share your pup with us while you are away. Our price reflects our care and amenities; fenced in yard with shade trees, allowed on beds and couches, we don't require a kennel unless needed, we wash food/water bowls daily, a GPS tag will be used in case you pup escapes, someone is always home, numerous walks around the block, pictures will be sent daily, access to all 3 levels of our home and we only take 1 family at a time! Jazmin will return from school in December 2025-January 2026 and again in mid-May 2026 to mid-August 2026. Is this your first time on Rover? Use Code: JAZMIC96925, to get $20 off your first booking after you sign up! Jazmin is away at college right now. Mary works from home and can attend to your dog as much as needed. Someone will always be home with your pet so they can receive the adequate amount of care that they need. We are also available for dog walking, potty breaks at the pets home, and pretty much everything. We have a fenced in yard, dogs are allowed on the couch, bed and all areas of our home. Whether you prefer kennel or no kennel either works for us, walks will be provided upon request and medication for senior dogs will be administered if needed. I am open for helping in whatever way I can, and I am willing to accommodate within reason.

“Cate and Tim are awesome! They agreed to a quick meet and greet the day before watching Riley so when I dropped her off for the day she was right at home at their place. Riley made herself right at home and had lots of fun with the end result being a happy worn out pup. I got updatesnduring the day and great pictures of Riley that I could see that she was having a good time. I would definitely habe Cate and Tim watch Riley whenever I'm back in the area and need a sitter!”

“My fearful dog has become comfortable very quickly with Emily. She doesn’t usually like strangers but Emily understands and doesn’t try to push her. I’m glad we found a good match for day care.”

“This was our first experience using Lynn to provide an afternoon of daycare for our two, 1-1/2 yr old labs Maggie and Willow. Lynn met with us for a visit before we booked this daycare service and we found Lynn to be very knowledgeable, confident, cheerful and pleasant to work with. She did a great job answering all of questions and gave us the time we needed to ask them. On the day of daycare she took extra care in introducing our pups to the other dogs since Maggie can be very timid and a bit insecure. Everything went really well and by all indications Maggie and Willow had a great time. We will certainly book future stays with Lynn.”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
