“Absolutely wonderful experience! Karen was so kind and welcoming to our very energetic pup! She has great attention to detail and took the time to truly get to know our dog and his unique personality and needs. Getting updates and pictures of our dog having the time of his life with Karen and her family made us feel so at ease knowing that he was in great, loving hands. We will definitely be reaching out to Karen in the future and our pup can’t wait to go back! ☺️❤️”

“Jessica and Jacob were amazing sitters! Very friendly and professional. My pup went to their house for daycare for a few days and had a great time with their family. Will definitely book again!”

About: My pet/house sitting adventures have taken me across the country, from Oregon to Hawaii to South Carolina. I have cared for a variety of breeds and personalities, from high-energy pups to mellow seniors, and I enjoy getting to know each animal’s unique quirks and routines. Our family absolutely loves animals, but we do not have any of our own. We love welcoming special guests into our home and giving them 100% of our love and attention while they’re with us ❤ We also enjoy caring for pets in their own homes, where they may feel most comfortable. I'm attentive to routines, feeding schedules, and special care instructions, and I’m comfortable with everything from daily walks to medication administration. We’re a blended family with one child (age 14) who lives with us half the time, and two children (ages 8 and 4) who are here full-time. They're gentle and very respectful of animals, and they love to help when families and pets are comfortable with it. Depending on your preferences (and your pet’s comfort level), my kids may join me for some or none of the time. We’re flexible and will prioritize what helps your pet feel relaxed and loved. Thank you for your time! I’ve worked remotely for 14 years, which gives me the flexibility to provide care either in my home or yours. I’m typically available on weekdays and many weekends, too. We do not have a fenced-in yard, however, our family loves to spend time outdoors and go on walks. We would love to include your pet(s) in our adventures, if you're comfortable with us doing so!

“This was the first time we used Rover. We left Gunner for a daycare day to start. Carolyn and Kristopher were great with Gunner. Carolyn wrote down all the details of Gunner’s normal routine and his particular needs. He came home very tired which was a win. We will be using them again in February for a longer stay. So thankful we found such wonderful people to leave him with.”

About: Hi there! I am an avid animal lover with 17 years of experience caring for cats and dogs of all personalities, breeds, ages, and energy levels. I have had 4 dogs and 3 cats of my own, 12 foster dogs (not at the same time!) and have cared for many animals through Rover. I offer drop-in and dog walk services in the Hudson/Stillwater area. I work remote and have plenty of flexibility and availability to help fill in when you want a little help caring for your fur family. No upcharges for holidays either! Whether in your home, in your yard, or out and about, the safety of you pet, and their needs are top priority. I have engaged in a variety of dog training courses with my own dog so have no problem maintaining the rules you have in place for you animal/s.
“Cassandra was wonderful ! Stella loved her. The photos Cassandra texted us are beautiful. She is a professional at photography. Awesome. We will be back ! Thank you !”

“Our dog Aggie had a great time with Julie! When we booked, she asked if Aggie would be ok having another dog around. We said Yes and the two Cockapoos had a wonderful day together. We appreciated Julie being willing to take on a second dog since we were asking last minute.”

“Cate and Tim are awesome! They agreed to a quick meet and greet the day before watching Riley so when I dropped her off for the day she was right at home at their place. Riley made herself right at home and had lots of fun with the end result being a happy worn out pup. I got updatesnduring the day and great pictures of Riley that I could see that she was having a good time. I would definitely habe Cate and Tim watch Riley whenever I'm back in the area and need a sitter!”

“We had such a great experience with Giovana! She was very responsive and kept us updated throughout the day with photos and messages. It was clear that Kit was well cared for and loved — Giovana truly treated her like part of her own family. We’re so grateful for her kindness and attention, and we’ll definitely be using her services again!”

“Kelly has been great with Coco! Because she has other dogs, Coco had the opportunity to socialize and have a ton of playtime. When I would pick her up in the evenings, she was so mellow which is saying a lot for an energetic puppy. Kelly kept me updated with pics of Coco throughout the day. We will definitely use her again!”

“Orlando and Nicki were very responsive and accommodating. They were welcoming and hospitable. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with them and they took very good care of our pet.”

“Mike is the most amazing dog sitter ever he takes such good care of all the dogs in his care. My Finn is very shy and has medical needs and Mike has been just the best about helping with everything so thankful we found him. Finn loves comimg to see his friend Mike.”

About: I have cared for animals ever since I was a child. I am a caretaker by nature after years of working in healthcare. My significant other is a dog lover himself and has experience training labradors and helps out with animal care a lot since he works a lot from home in the garage. I work part-time 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) otherwise I am home with my 2 year old and 13 year old boys. I also have a playful four- year-old yellow lab female. She has become very socialized and loves having her fur friends over. We do have a fenced in yard. I am a stay at home mom so perfect for giving your pet all the love and attention they need. I am also available most weekends. I have a fenced in yard. We have a three year-old female yellow lab who is fixed. I can also leave her home with the family if care is needed at your house, I do have a one year-old who is attached to my hip most of the time.
“Jessica and her husband were incredible care takers for my little Chihuahua Yorky mix ! She has separation anxiety and she did so great and felt so comfortable with them. She was in great hands and I highly recommend them to anyone needing care. My dog especially loved exploring their fenced in yard !”
About: Hi! I’ve had dogs for most of my life, and caring for them has always been a big part of who I am. My own dog recently passed away, so I truly understand how much love, attention, and patience every dog deserves. I treat every dog like family and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I follow your dog’s routine closely so they feel at home. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and will always keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind. I can administer basic medications if needed. Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays” I’m happy to help with: • Doggy Day Care • Overnight care If you’re looking for someone who genuinely loves dogs and will care for yours like their own, I’d love to help! I have a full-time job, but I’m typically home by around 1-3PM each day. My husband works part-time in the evenings, so there is usually someone home most of the time. This allows me to provide consistent care, attention, and companionship. I’m available for afternoon/evening visits, overnight care, and flexible on weekends. In my home, I have a backyard for fresh air and potty breaks, but since it is not fenced, dogs are always kept on a leash and supervised at all times to ensure their safety. Inside, I make sure they are comfortable, well-rested, and get plenty of attention and playtime.

About: I’ve cared for a variety of pets and have plenty of hands-on experience with dogs. My family has two dogs, so I’m very comfortable with feeding, walking, playing, and making sure pets get plenty of attention and care. I’m active, responsible, and will treat your pet like they’re my own! I am currently working part-time at home, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pup throughout the mornings or evenings as needed. Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
