“Meagen is your dogs home away from home. We left Charly for the first time with her in February and we have used Meagen several times since. She welcomes your pup at the front door like it is her own. Charly comes back to our home like she never left. When we are away Meagen keeps us updated with pictures and videos . I could not enjoy my time away if Charly wasn’t with Meagen and her family!!!!”

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover and have cared for several dogs over the years. I currently have two small dogs of my own, a Yorkshire Terrier and a Maltese, and they are both very friendly and comfortable around other dogs. My Yorkie is 8 years old, so I have plenty of hands-on experience with daily care, feeding, walking, playtime, and giving dogs the attention they need. I spend a lot of time at home, which allows me to keep a close eye on the dogs in my care and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I truly enjoy having dogs around and will treat your dog like part of the family while they stay with us 🐶 I will be home with the dogs throughout the day, so they get plenty of attention and regular potty breaks. We already have our own dogs, so caring for dogs is a natural part of our daily routine. I’m available for both daytime daycare and overnight boarding. Our home is in a quiet area with plenty of space between neighbors, which makes it a peaceful place for dogs to relax and feel at home. We keep our home clean, quiet, and comfortable for our dogs and visiting pups. The house is regularly cleaned and disinfected, and we do an extra cleaning before every new stay. Potty pads are changed frequently, and we use air purifiers indoors to help keep the space fresh and odor-free. Our own dogs also receive regular flea and tick prevention. Most importantly, someone is home throughout the day to keep an eye on the dogs and make sure they are safe and comfortable.
“This was my first experience with Rover and Megan and Vitaliy have set the bar high. So kind and welcoming to my 4 month old cavapoo Honey. They truly treated her like their own and were super patient with her since she is so little. I was so nervous to leave her but the pictures and videos and updates they sent gave me huge piece of mind. I’m so grateful to them and will absolutely bring Honey back. ❤️”

“Neetika took very good care of our puppy for a week while we were on vacation. The sending of daily updates and photos was so appreciated, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time away without worry. I would recommend Neetika, she has a loving family and her own pup who I know our Khloe enjoyed playing with in-between napping.”

“Barbara took great care of Zoey during the holidays and was very flexible with us with the changes that we had to make. We appreciate her and will definitely use her for Zoey again”

“Lori was fantastic! She was able to take Colby last minute, and it worked out perfectly. Lori was so sweet and I know that Colby was lovingly cared for. She sent us pictures and stayed in touch.”

“Catherine took such great care of my two dogs that it felt like they had a vacation of their own! She was very responsive, caring, and patient, sending daily pictures and updates. My dogs got plenty of exercise and enjoyed lots of new experiences. Highly recommended!”

“Very loving trustworthy person to take care of pet Kenny. Very friendly with my pet and easy going person. I do recommend if any interest to day care of your pet. Here is place and well secure atmosphere. Happy to share my feedback.”

About: I have always loved animals and will love taking care of yours. Some info about me, I work as a volunteer vet tech so I am able to give your dog oral or subcutaneous medicine. My family and I have four dogs and two cats that I take care of by taking them on walks, brushing their teeth, and bathing. I have also dog sat a couple homes while pet parents are away. I am currently a student at wcu and am on a flexible schedule as my gymnastics season just ended and the semester is coming to an end. I have a Maltese poodle mix(Chase) that lives at college with me and my roommates and I always put him on a leash when letting him outside and he is currently on an eating routine. Chase is a picky pup with allergies and high anxiety so I have understood how to deal with high maintenance dogs and well as my sisters German shepherd and lab and the two dogs and cats my parents have at home. I am well versed with taking care of any type of dog or cat.
“Miles loves spending time with Brian and his family (people and dogs). Brian is communicative, reliable, very easy to work with, and clearly loves animals. He takes excellent care of our dog, and I would absolutely recommend him and trust him with my pets. We're very glad to have found you. Thanks!”

“Sruthi and Abha were wonderful with our senior dog! They were very attentive to her and were fantastic about giving us updates! We would definitely book with them again!”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! Mary was so responsive and took such loving care of our dog, making sure he was comfortable, happy, and well-exercised. From the moment I met her, I could tell she genuinely loves animals, and it showed in how she treated our pup. She sent me several photos and gave regular updates, which gave me peace of mind. I came home to a happy and relaxed dog. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional dog sitter!”
“Enrica and her husband are above and beyond, they are super warm and welcoming! Both meet & greet arrangement and App communications are smooth and swift. They care and treat your pet as their own. My dog enjoys spending time with them so much!”

“Amazing host! My pup is a little anxious one, but Zhihao's family made sure that he felt right at home. He looked so sad when we went to pick him up which has never happened before! Will definitely return for the next time.”

“Our dog seemed to have a great time staying with Beth. Beth gave us regular updates while our dog stayed with her. Our dog loved her fenced backyard and was very comfortable staying with Beth. We would definitley recommend Beth to other dog parents!”

“SIQI was the best dog sitter we have ever had for our 2 medium to large dogs. She was extremely responsive and very kind. She had dogs before and knows how to care for dogs really well. She went above and beyond for our girls. One of our girls nails chipped and she quickly sent a picture and followed up with what she did. We are looking forward to having her care for our girls in the future!”

“Our boys are in such good hands with Aaron. He clearly provides loving care! And the fenced in backyard is perfect for allowing our boys plenty of running space.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Ackworth
We’re very fortunate Erica could watch our mini poodle Juno again. He stayed with her for 11 days and we had complete confidence he was in great hands. She updated us frequently with texts, pictures and videos, reassuring us that all was well. Erica also gave Juno lots of love, play, and took him on walks. We are very happy with the quality care he received and will continue to hire Erica for future trips.

This was my first time using Rover. Lorraine was wonderful with my dog Ralphie. She asked so many questions about what he liked and needed. Such a comfort to know he was being so well taken care of and she sent pictures and updates often! I would totally recommend her services, she is a gem!

Lori took great care of my little Pomeranian while I was away on a family vacation. My dog had a great time and seeing the sweet look in his eyes as he said his goodbyes to Lori spoke volumes. While my dog is an easy keeper, he likes to be babied. Lori and her kids gave my little diva-boy all the attention he craved. I'd give Lori 6 six out of five stars if I could! Thanks, Lori. You are a delight!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Ackworth home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Ackworth.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Ackworth sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
