About: I've owned a small dogwalking/pet sitting business since 1999. I am CPDT-KA certified in dog training as well. I've worked with all breeds of dogs, ages with many different dispositions. My husband & I moved from Brooklyn(where we had our biz since 2006) to New Paltz this summer. We are continuing to do personal & very limited boarding in our new home. I am also offering private training sessions(in your home) . I specialize in puppy or newly adopted pups/dogs. Doggie care is part of my daily routine. I have 2 dogs of my own, both less energy less days, but still enjoy getting their walks & sniffs in. The very limited boarding means your dogs stay with our family, always supervised & leashed outside. We have many dogs beds but can bring your own.

About: Hi, My name is Max! I am a sophomore in college hoping to get my bachelor’s degree in biology! I’m a huge animal lover!! I have played basketball for my whole life up until this year so I love to get outside and throw the tennis ball or kick the soccer ball with my sweet doggo! I’ve always grown up surrounded by so many pets which makes me want to pursue being a Vet! I have a dog of my own, Buddy and one other dogs in the house named Sheena I’ve volunteered for many shelters and I’ve loved every second of it. I’ve also pet sat for a lot of family and friends when they’ve gone out of town. I couldn’t imagine my life not being surrounded by furry friends so, I can’t wait to meet you and your pet family! I have a fenced in yard and two friendly dogs to keep your dog company and I have a huge yard and a pool if your dogs love swimming.

“Lisa Erin is lovely and kind and great with our dog. She was flexible and was not afraid of rain. Most impressive- she asked to meet our dog first to be sure it was a good fit. Great pick”

“Akash was great with my 11 month old lab, Clancy. I hired him for a 60-minute walk & he went above and beyond by offering to take Clancy on a local nature hike instead of his usual walks around the neighborhood. Akash was a great communicator, and kept me updated with pictures & short videos of Clancy hiking, which was awesome! I look forward to hiring Akash again!”

About: I have had cats all of my life and dogs for at least the latter half of it. I can care for sick and elderly dogs and cats and can administer medications, even by subcutaneous injections. I am a mature man, available on a regular basis. My Golden Retriever and I look forward to sharing our time with your beloved pets. I do not have a fenced yard, and I do own a Golden Retriever. So, I do have limitations and restrictions when it comes to boarding. Regardless of whether I care for your pet in your home or in mine, they will receive gentle, loving treatment from an experienced pet daddy.

About: I've had pets my whole life, starting with 2 dogs and 2 cats growing up. I've been working at a veterinarian for almost 2 years. I hold them during appointments - give them my full attention and make them feel safe and loved. I work with up to 100 pets a week, mostly dogs and cats, and occasionally rabbits, guinea pigs, and chickens. Overall, I have love for all living creatures and give them the love, affection, and full attention they deserve. Working at a vet, I am very in-tune with each animal's energy. My biggest strength is making each pets feel safe and secure, during vet appointments where they're often already stressed. With a dog, cat, rabbit, and guinea pig, I shower them with affection and provide them with clean environments, love and attention, and space to play and have fun. Pets are family and they deserve to be showered with love. My guinea pig and rabbit each have their own large cages, as well as large play pens to exercise and explore. My cat is mostly indoor and surrounded by scratching posts and toys. My German Shepard requires a lot of attention, love, and exercise. We go in walks of 30 minutes 2x each day. Each and every dog and cat is different and I spend special attention to get to know each pet and what they need.

About: I worked for the UCSPCA for 12 years (manager of animal care for four years)! I’ve had dogs/cats since I was little. They bring me great joy! I’m very active and love to hike safely. I know how to do basic training (not certified but have worked alongside trainers for years): leash walking improvement, reactivity improvement, basic commands). I have a senior, Bubba. He goes potty 3-4x per day in addition to hiking (Mohonk, Vernooykill Falls, Neversink, Catskills, etc) multiple times a week. I offer potty walks, playtime, leash work, hiking, easy rail trail walks, stay-in pet sitting, playtime with Bubba. I have been pet sitting/walking for many years (mostly through word of mouth, volunteers from my work at the shelter, adopters, etc).

About: I grew up with dogs, a cat, gerbil, fish, and even a rescue squirrel. I have been pet sitting for a few years and just love it. I take care of all breeds, ages, and size dogs as well as cats and other traditional pets. I can administer oral meds and ointments. While I am not a trainer, I do everything I can to reinforce any training they have or are undergoing. I am a full time pet sitter. I occasionally do some consulting but that is all WFH. I am flexible and don't have any day restrictions. While I am open to boarding and some dog walking, I typically do pet sitting in your house and drop-ins while people are out of town. My goal is to keep consistency for your animals. I ask questions to understand what they are allowed and not allowed to do, eat, etc. and I stick to it. I believe pets are a member of your family, not just some animal. I will do everything I can to create a safe environment for them. I will also take their lead. If they want pets, they will get it. If they are more standoffish, I won't force contact. Their well being is my #1 priority. You will find I am very communicative, and provide updates how and when you would like. While my 1st priority is their safety, my second, is providing you will peace of mind, so you can fully enjoy your time away.

About: I’ve taken care of young puppies, energetic dogs and senior pets as well. We are an outdoorsie family and like to go for long walk and hikes with our dog. High energy pet is a no problem! Our current dog is a senior, so we have a nice accommodating environment for her and other senior pups. I’m staying home currently with a baby. I decided to start providing pet care for extra income and for interacting with other animals, as we are not a able to get more animals at this time. I have a large house with a one acre yard and an and an overhead trolley cable. There are multiple rooms where the dogs can rest and a large crate where the doggies can be if they feel safe there.

“Maria and Doug have been watching our very high maintenance Frenchie for almost 8 years! Our fur baby is our everything, and they treat her like their own. They've done everything for our girl - daily walks, boarding when we go on vaca, even emergency pop ins. And our dog Margaux LOVES them. When I tell her that she's going to see Maria and Doug today, she wiggles her whole body in the cutest way. Maria and Doug have also given us great tips and ideas (this is our first dog) - from stimulation games to treat tactics! They are true animal lovers with a ton of knowledge. Also, Maria takes the sweetest photos of the pups she watches - the shots she can get with a bunch of dogs on a stoop are seriously amazing and adorable. Logan L.
“I’ve known Logan for over 10 years. When I became the Operations Manager at the Ulster County SPCA, Logan stood out as the best employee on our team for many reasons. She is a true team player—kind, compassionate, and genuinely caring toward both people and animals. Logan began her work in animal care and never hesitated to get her hands dirty. Her versatility and dedication allowed her to wear many hats, including taking on management roles. She has overseen the care of both cats and dogs, managed daily routines, monitored medical conditions, and facilitated adoptions. In addition, she played a critical role in training animals, staff, and volunteers alike. Logan is dependable, empathetic, reliable, and honest. She has a warm, calming presence and an incredible personality that puts everyone at ease. She truly has a gift with animals—she recently worked with a difficult, untrained dog belonging to a family member, and in just one session, she was able to get the dog to peacefully coexist with another it had previously tried to attack. I would trust Logan completely—with my animals, my home, and without hesitation.”
