“Angela was great, Charlie enjoyed her walks. Charlie is pretty well behaved but still a big girl at 80-lbs and they did great together. Angela even brought in a package for me.”

“I booked Patti to walk our Aussie Doodle while we were away for nine days and she was awesome! She was professional, on time, communicative, sent great pics and she took care of our dog as if he were her own. She is extremely kind and has a genuine love for animals, our dog Finn loved her. I highly recommend Patti!!”

About: I started walking dogs as a first job when I was a kid! My family and I have always had dogs. Our most recent dog is an adopted mix, named Gogurt! I’m experienced caring for the pets of my family and friends. Looking forward to meeting your four legged friends! I am currently working PT, and have been with the same company for 30 years. I have flexibility on my off days, and can manage hours during the days/evenings. I am happy to meet your schedule needs when possible! At this time, I do not offer overnight services. In addition to walks and drop ins, I do home care during the day in clients’ homes.
“Isabelle has been wonderful with our dogs! She’s always on time, communicates clearly, and follows through exactly as promised. You can genuinely tell she loves dogs, and that gives us so much peace of mind. We’re so grateful to have found her and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker!”

“Jacqueline is awesome! She took great care of our Dorothy. She is extremely sweet and great with animals. She was great with communication and sent pictures of Dorothy. We first did a meet and greet and I knew right away she would be great. Her love for animals is evident! I felt safe leaving Dorothy in her hands. I would 100% recommend Jacqueline for any of your pets needs! I would 10/10 use her again! 🙂”

“Thanks for the walk tonight, Zachary. It made for a really nice evening for us - to be out to dinner and not have worry about Satchel. You’re doing a great job with him.”

About: As a former veterinary receptionist, I’ve had 3 years of experience helping care for dogs and cats. Now pursuing art, I’m looking to continue to help take care of pets. I’m currently working on pursuing my art career, so my schedule is pretty open for drop ins or walks. I’m occasionally available for in-house pet sitting. In the part few years, I’ve developed a real heart for animals. Pet care is so important, giving a voice to those who can’t speak.
About: I have been surrounded by all types of animals since the day I was born. Fury and scaled. Pets are my family and a huge part of my heart. I am currently available at any time of the day except for early mornings. I do have my own fur babies to take care of!! Drop in visits and lovely walks are available as shown! Consistent routine is definitely key for my animals. I will work with the schedule catered to the pet. If minimal training is needed I will help and aid in the training.
About: Hello! My name is Andie and I work at VCA South Shore Hospital in ER, ICU, Neurology and Internal Medicine as a technician assistant and have prior TA experience at Old Derby Animal Hospital. I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I previously went to the University of Arizona for 3 years studying animal sciences and transferred my junior year to return to the East Coast. I also have some experience with a handful of farm animals from my time at the UofA. Additionally some of my experience comes from working on home farms taking care of horses and alpacas; all of this meaning my knowledge of animals is extensive to give the best care for your furry friends! I have always had the passion for animal care and medicine which is why after graduating I will be continuing my schooling to be a CVT and hopefully someday a veterinarian. A few years back I had participated in boarding through Rover, but after a hiatus I decided to come back to continue with walks and drop in visits because even outside of my main job I love to be around animals! We have a small family dog, but other than that I have rescue retired racing greyhound, Moose, who has travelled far and wide with me. My pets also include many fish, a leopard gecko, chickens and ducks! All this being said, I would absolutely love the opportunity to be alongside your best friends and scratch the itch to spend as much time with animals as I can! I am currently working full time at VCA Animal Hospital where I can do Sat, Sun and Mon anytime. I am open to doing drop ins and walks. It would really help potentially putting me in a position for veterinary school! I take care of your pets like they are my own. I think every one has their own needs and personality, there is no "one size fits all" for any animal. I try to learn your pet on an individual level!
About: I have hands-on experience handling and caring for animals through volunteer work at an animal shelter, employment in multiple animal hospitals, and caring for my own pets. My experience includes safely interacting with animals of various temperaments, supporting their daily care, and maintaining their health and well-being in both clinical and home environments. What sets me apart is my combination of professional experience, hands-on care, and genuine love for animals. This experience has given me the knowledge to recognize pets’ needs and provide calm, compassionate care. I have even had the pleasure of caring for senior dogs and understand the extra patience, comfort, and attention they require. I’ve also done some basic dog training and enjoy reinforcing good behaviors with positive encouragement. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and comfortable while giving pet parents peace of mind knowing their furry family member is in caring, capable hands. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule, and typically have open availability, allowing me to provide plenty of walks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention. I live down the street from a dog park too, so pets can socialize during their time with me as well. I love spending time outdoors and am very active so any pet in my care will be outdoors as much as possible, unless an owner would prefer I keep them indoors. I provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment where pets are treated like family. I’m very attentive, compassionate, and patient, making sure each pet receives the care and attention they need. I follow their regular routine for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest, while giving them plenty of affection and positive interaction. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can feel confident that their pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.
“Christine is awesome! We’ve scheduled her for weekly walks for our cattle dog mix and he absolutely loves his time with her. She’s communicative, reliable and always sends great pictures after their walks. Highly recommend her for any dog care!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
