About: Hello! My name is Andie and I work at VCA South Shore Hospital in ER, ICU, Neurology and Internal Medicine as a technician assistant and have prior TA experience at Old Derby Animal Hospital. I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I previously went to the University of Arizona for 3 years studying animal sciences and transferred my junior year to return to the East Coast. I also have some experience with a handful of farm animals from my time at the UofA. Additionally some of my experience comes from working on home farms taking care of horses and alpacas; all of this meaning my knowledge of animals is extensive to give the best care for your furry friends! I have always had the passion for animal care and medicine which is why after graduating I will be continuing my schooling to be a CVT and hopefully someday a veterinarian. A few years back I had participated in boarding through Rover, but after a hiatus I decided to come back to continue with walks and drop in visits because even outside of my main job I love to be around animals! We have a small family dog, but other than that I have rescue retired racing greyhound, Moose, who has travelled far and wide with me. My pets also include many fish, a leopard gecko, chickens and ducks! All this being said, I would absolutely love the opportunity to be alongside your best friends and scratch the itch to spend as much time with animals as I can! I am currently working full time at VCA Animal Hospital where I can do Sat, Sun and Mon anytime. I am open to doing drop ins and walks. It would really help potentially putting me in a position for veterinary school! I take care of your pets like they are my own. I think every one has their own needs and personality, there is no "one size fits all" for any animal. I try to learn your pet on an individual level!
About: I've had dogs my whole life. I have experience with puppies through seniors and small to large dogs. I have a lot of flexibility with my time and can be available as needed. Happy to take dogs on walks or care in their own home. I am a stay at home parent, so I have a lot of flexibility for times I'm able to help out. I'm happy to work around whatever your schedule and needs are. I am very good at reading a dogs mood and cues for their needs. I can tailor my care for the needs of each individual pet. Whether they are more comfortable being inside their own home, like to play in the backyard, or go for walks in the park, I can guarantee they will have a great time and feel safe.
About: Hi! My name is Dessy, and I’m a passionate animal lover and experienced professional pet stylist who genuinely treats every pet like my own. I’ve worked hands-on with all breeds, sizes, and personalities — from tiny nervous pups to big energetic goofballs. Because of my grooming background, I’m extremely comfortable handling dogs who may be anxious, wiggly, shy, or need extra patience. I’m trained to read body language, keep pets calm, and make sure they feel safe and cared for at all times. I care for dogs whenever I can find the time. Even when not at work I’m looking to spend more time with pups. I’m looking to also volunteer at Kingston Animal Shelter. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always follow their routine as closely as possible to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I make sure they have fresh water, feed them according to instructions, and provide potty breaks and walks based on their normal schedule. I also give them plenty of attention, playtime, and reassurance while monitoring their behavior to ensure they are happy and safe.

About: I have two dogs of my own (and three children). I am a high school teacher, looking to keep busy in the summer months. I am very responsible and love animals! I hope I can help you with your pet needs. I am a teacher and am off for the summer, so I have lots of time to take care of your animals. I look forward to time outside and long walks. I am happy to come to your home or take your dog for local walks. If needed we can take a drive to find more suitable places to get much needed exercise in!
About: I have been in the caring business since my teenage years - babysitting my younger siblings, caring for my family dog, running a summer enrichment program for at risk youth, caring for horses at a dude ranch and a western suburbs farm, minding many friends' dogs, and wrangling my own two senior dogs - brother and sister, now 14 years old. (But, so rambunctious for their first 10+ years). I love dogs and will care for your dog just as you would. One of my dogs is now blind and the other requires daily subcutaneous fluids so I am willing and able to help out with any of your pet's special needs as well..... I know how stressful it can be to ensure a routine is kept. Pet first aid and CPR certified. I am currently on a full time job hunt in marketing analytics and very available (with notice) to care for your dogs most days and evenings as I can search and do freelance work remotely. Depending on your dog's needs I can usually provide bathroom breaks every 4 hours in between errands, etc. My calendar will be updated to show days I plan to be away. At this time, I can care for pets in my client's home. I do need to bring my dogs for the overnight portion of the stay but will keep them separate in a room/space of your choosing during the evening (and on bedroom floor at night). They are very dog friendly just very sleepy and do well snoozing someplace quiet.

About: Finding someone you trust with your pet is a big decision, so I focus on providing safe, reliable, and compassionate care every time. I’ve spent over 10 years working with animals in a variety of professional settings, including as a dog groomer, and at an animal hospital. Those experiences have taught me how to safely handle dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels, while also recognizing when something doesn’t seem quite right. Whether your dog loves long walks, prefers to stop and sniff every tree, or just needs a little extra patience, I’ll make sure they’re comfortable, safe, and treated like one of my own. I understand that every pet is different, and I take the time to get to know what makes yours happiest. About: I grew up with dogs within my family and through friends. I watched my neighbors dogs throughout high school, as well as the dogs for the families I babysat for. I also currently have a dog of almost 4 years, so I understand the level of attention a dog may need especially in the training years. I’m currently working a full-time hybrid job, so I am home and available Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays before 8:30am, between 12:00pm and 1:00pm, and after 5:00pm. I am completely available on weekends. I will care for your pet however you would like for me to. I can provide sitting, walking and feeding services and I am flexible!
About: I been around dogs since I was 12 years old and have been dogsitting for 2 years now! I have experience with many breeds of all sizes. I would love to spend some quality time with your pup! I am very active; I love walks, hikes, and just being outside. I am up early in the morning and home most of the day. I have a large yard, and though it is not fenced in, pets will always be leashed and supervised. I have a quiet neighborhood behind my home and many parks nearby for some great walks. My favorite part of dogsitting is spending time with them, so we’ll be together pretty much 24/7!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
