During the internship Eleanor was involved in various different tasks including: • General Animal Husbandry including food preparation and feeding, slaughtering of meat/food hygiene, enclosure cleaning and maintenance, electric fence/perimeter fence checking, animal behaviour observations. • Animal Enrichment program, creating and implementing different enrichments for a variety of species. • Animal handling, reading and responding appropriately to animal behaviour of both adults and youngsters. • Monitoring health of the animals on a daily basis. • Training as an Educational Tour Guide, guiding visitors around the facility. • Observing and assisting with record keeping such as studbook management, local wildlife, health etc • Conservation related research The animals taken care of included, but were not limited to, cheetahs, lions, tiger, caracals, puma, leopards, wolves, spotted hyena, servals, genets, African wildcats, foxes, rescue chickens and goats. Eleanor was very reliable and worked extremely well in a group environment as well as on her own. She showed great initiative regardless of the given task and her polite and friendly personality meant she was always easy to get along with. No task was too big or too small and she was always one of the first to put herself forward to assist with any task. She approached all activities with boundless determination and skill, and always with enthusiasm. She continually strived to learn and improve herself. She was responsible and hardworking and was truly dedicated to the welfare and care of all of the animals here at Cheetah Experience. “Aimee is great with all animals not just dogs. She is currently doing a vet nurse degree after working at a vets of the last few years. From children we have had a family dog, 3 cats, 3 working police dogs, 2 guinea pigs and a horse, which she has helped look after throughout their lives. Along with this she was the ‘auntie’ to my puppy who, to my upset, preferred her to me. Aimee is organised, trustworthy, reliable and friendly, who has many years working with customers (animal and people).”

About: i have a level 3 diploma in animal care and currently studying animal science at NTU! i’m a huge lover of animals especially our furry friends! i have previous experience with dog walking as i did this throughout the summer of 2023 and confident with all types of dogs! i offer evening walks from 4-6pm as well as extra walks on Thursdays and Wednesdays from 10am - 1pm and 4pm-6pm as these are my regular days off uni! when walking i will always keep them on leads! depending on your dogs behaviour i can avoid passing other dogs in public, and walk around quieter places. if your dog has anxiety, or is shy i can follow their favourite/regular walks if given to me by owners. All instructions and/or special requirements from owners will be made sure to followed and i can also offer regular photos throughout the walk/sitting session to ensure you your dog is happy and healthy!

About: I have grown up around animals, especially dogs and cats all my life. I have regularly cared for my own, my families and my friends animals, from walking to, to sitting for a few hours or a few days. I also have experience with senior dogs, as well as those with health conditions such as epilepsy. I am also good & patient with anxious dogs and cats, and am willing to put some extra time into making your pet feel safe and comfortable with me for whichever care I am providing. Additionally, I am proficient in providing routine pet care, such as bathing, blow-drying, nail trimming, expressing anal glands, and cleaning ears. Moreover, I know how to select suitable food for cats and dogs. In my former pet store, I regularly prepared nutritious meals for boarded pets. Through years of experience, I've learned that patience and genuine care are paramount in this profession. I am currently a college student studying equestrian-related disciplines at NTU. I have free time every weekend and am more than happy to assist those in need with taking care of their beloved pets at home. I will begin by inquiring about essential details regarding the pet, such as feeding amounts, dog-walking times, play durations, and litter box maintenance.
