“My Bailey's home away from home!! Ok so a little background- my dog Bailey is a rescue who was physically abused by her previous owner. For this reason, she is utterly terrified of new people because she has a natural distrust for people following early life events. Kristen and her family originally spent time coming to my house to walk Bailey and spend time with her, and Bailey had been doing well with the new dog walkers! However, after learning about Bailey's concerns, Kristen thought it may improve Bailey's situation to have her spend the day at doggy daycare, and let me tell you, she and her family have done an amazing job taking care of Bailey!!! I've never seen her so happy every day when I come to pick her up (and probably even more happy to be dropped off :P). It's only been a few weeks and I can already tell Kristen and her family are making her feel at home away from home, and carefully allowing her to interact with other dogs and humans when Bailey is ready. I've been absolutely overjoyed seeing her improvement in socialization skills, and, really, just how happy and comfortable she is; makes my day! On a side note, following several meetings with a Behavioralist, I'm actively training her to help improve her anxiety and fear toward people. Kristen understands how important this is and has been ensuring Bailey is trained (in the same way I'm training her for continuity sake) while at doggy daycare, since I don't have the opportunity to train her several times throughout the day during the work week. Her obedience has improved, and better yet, she's starting to see new people with a different outlook; she's excited to make new friends! Thank you Kristen!!”

About: I love dogs and have been around them for most of my life. I am a proud owner of a shiba inu(a true rascal) and I love him to death. Your dog will be in good hands with me. Word of caution: he/she will be spoiled with love! I currently work from home everyday of the week! When I am home, your dog(and cat) will have my full attention and be able to go on frequent walks. I have a fenced yard at home so your pet will have all the room to roam inside and outside. Your dog will have a darling companion(my shiba inu) to keep him/her active all day!

About: My goal is to make sure your babies feel safe and genuinely cared for while you’re away so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing they’re in loving hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. As a college student with a highly flexible schedule, I’m able to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I plan my days around their needs whether that means walks, playtime, feeding, medication, or simply keeping them company. It’s important to me make sure every pet feels loved and attended to while their family is away. I carefully follow each pet’s usual routine including feeding schedules, exercise, medication, and any special instructions to help keep their experience as stress-free as possible. I have a dog-friendly yard for outdoor time with plenty of space for crates, cages, or litter boxes if needed. I have multiple rooms available in my home for pets who may need a quiet separate space to gradually get comfortable before interacting with other pets or exploring the home. I understand that every animal adjusts differently, so I’m happy to accommodate their individual needs and personality to help them feel secure. I routinely send photo updates for peace of mind!

About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up around dogs — and raising my own Doberman, Skyla and Chihuahua, Bunny — I truly can’t imagine life without them! Caring for dogs isn’t just my job, it’s something I genuinely love. Dog care is my full-time business, so I’m home throughout the week to make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I do not kennel dogs unless requested by the owner, but if your dog is crate-trained or prefers their own kennel setup, I’m happy to accommodate that in my living room space. We have a fully fenced yard for supervised play, exercise, and lots of tail wags. About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and genuinely love caring for them. I have experience with a wide variety of pets including dogs, cats, birds, corn snakes, bunnies, and chickens. I started dog sitting at 16 and have regularly cared for my cousin’s three dogs for multi-day stays. I also pet sit for my uncle’s small dog, Halsey, and previously cared for my sister’s cat for several months. I’m comfortable managing multiple pets at once and always make sure each one gets the attention they deserve. At home, I have an 8-year-old Shih Tzu who definitely runs the house — and I happily spoil her! I’m very patient with senior pets and those who may have accidents or need extra cleanup. While I don’t offer full grooming, I’m always happy to give baths in the comfort of your pet’s home when needed. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I treat every animal like family and provide lots of love, updates, and attentive care. :)) I currently work a part-time job only two days per week, so I have very open availability for pet care. My usual unavailable days are Sundays and Wednesdays. If my schedule ever changes, I always know at least a week in advance and will keep clients fully updated. I take my commitments seriously and do my best to avoid last-minute cancellations (Which has never happened!). Clear communication and reliability are very important to me, and I always respect my clients’ time and plans. Caring for pets in their own home is often the most comfortable and least stressful for them, and I always aim to keep their routine as normal as possible. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and personality, whether they’re very social or prefer to warm up at their own pace. I’m happy to provide plenty of affection, playtime, walks, or quiet cuddle time — whatever your pet enjoys most. About: Being surrounded in my home full of paws and claws makes for the perfect day, everyday. With numerous years of experience in caring for dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, rabbits, Guinea pigs and more. If there is an extended stay and mail and/or trash cans need to be taken in and out that isn’t a problem while I’m caring for your fur baby.

About: I have been an ongoing volunteer at the Animal Defense League of San Antonio since I was about 9 y/o, taking the dogs on walks and socializing the cats and kittens. I have thorough knowledge and experience with raising and fostering kittens, as well as dogs just under 1y/o. I've owned and fostered cats and dogs at varying life stages, throughout my entire life as well. I am well experienced and knowledgeable in animal care and the handling of a myriad of pets and wildlife. While currently also shadowing a very experienced and accredited dog trainer, I am definitely confident in my ability to provide extra care and love for your sweet, fur-babies. Currently, I am in-between jobs, so I as long as I have about a day's heads-up, I'm usually free pretty much any day to care for you furry friend. I perfer to start my work day around afternoon to late afternoon, though morning time isn't a deal-breaker. After meeting and getting acquainted with your fur-baby, I'd appreciate it if, after being told everything you want me to be aware of your pet, you were to also write down detailed notes about your pet's daily routine; feeding times, what food/treats they are and aren't allowed to comsue, common behaviors, what they're allowed and aren't allowed to do around the house, any necessary medications (if any), etc.

About: I have always had dogs in my life. From mutts to German Shepards to bully breeds, I love them all! I am comfortable walking and hanging out with any and all friends and will handle all breeds with compassion and the care they deserve I am available any day from 9am to 1pm. I am a stay at home mom so I am available during school hours during the week! I will play and hang out with your friend for however long you would like me there to make them comfortable. I used to foster medical case kittens when I lived in Georgia to increase their chances of being adopted into their furever homes I currently work part time, so I can love on your furbabies every day except for tuesdays and wednesdays until after 3 PM. Unfortunately, my home is not pet friendly, but I would love to come to your home and make friends with your animals. I am well-versed in most types of dogs- large and small, timid and excited that I exist, aggressive and love spongey. I have experience with pets working on their potty training and fur babies learning boundaries, as well as animals needing special medical attention.

About: Hello! I've taken care of dogs for the past 15 years with my own dogs included. I love dogs as if they're my own children (if I had any,) with compassion, love, nurturing, and play time! I will always send photos of your babies because I know the feeling of missing them while away, and updates knowing they're well taken care of can ease those feelings. I want you to be comfortable knowing they're getting the best care with me. I work full time from home so caring for my pets is a full time job as well! They're never left alone for long periods of time. We have routine potty breaks, snack breaks, and walks! Vitamin D is great for us all. I have a 3 bedroom home with a fenced in yard that is regularly maintained for land mines. All pets are welcome on the couch and in bed and no area is off limits. My home is safe space for all pets. 🥹❤️

Your fur baby is my number one priority while I care for them. I do drop in visits and walks at your home, where your pet is at ease. I am capable of handling both big and small dogs on walks, as I have one of each. I will always make sure your pet is supervised and getting 100% of my attention during my entire time with them. As you can see from my Iowa reviews I was well liked and had several repeat clients. I will go out of my way to accommodate. I have also had a several dozen clients in Texas since starting here. Rover doesn't always give you an accurate number if there are multiple visits, mulitple animals, cats only, holidays, etc. I will adjust it! *I also do cat care: rates will depend on the number of cats, the number of days, and if there is a dog also. I will give each person a custom rate based on these. House sitting for cats only isn't an option, I will give you a custom cat visit rate (let's face it, they don't need me there all night!) : ) You can be assured you will always get a very reasonable rate. ABOUT ME: A have a lifetime of pet care experience. I grew up with cats and dogs and have had both as an adult (so that is a lot of pet years. 174 in dog years, I think). I have had two different seniors with special needs (one is with me currently). I love them all! My pets are members of my family and I treat them as such. I will do the same for yours. I am comfortable with all sizes, ages, special needs, med administration, etc. Kitty will get love too! If I am house sitting or doing drop in visits while you are away, I can also take care of trash/recycling day, plants, mail. Just ask! Part of the reason we moved was so I could rescue animals. So far, just in Texas, we have rescued 120 dogs, cats, cows, and goats. 30 of the dogs and cats have gone on to be adopted in the Pacific NW and are loving their new lives. 😍 I can accommodate preparing/feeding their special diets if you have them on one (raw food, homemade dog food, etc). Any other questions? Please just ask! Leaving your pets can be hard. My goal is to make that easier for you! I also have a farm sanctuary and we have rescued dogs, cats, cows, goats, hens, guinea pigs, and rabbits. My hours are flexible and animals are my whole life! I am not currently taking animals in my home as I am full with fosters! At your home, I will spend time playing and/or walking on visits depending on client wishes when visiting their home for check-ins or dog walking. I am able to handle all size dogs and multiple dogs. I am able to handle medication administration and various medical procedures. I love cats just as much as I love dogs!
