About: I have 3 dachshunds so I love spending time with big personalities in little bodies. I have walked dogs for neighbors and house sat throughout the year for a 100 lb dog and cat. I’m currently looking for work so I’m available to walk and care for sweet babies needing help throughout the day. My dogs are good hosting other small dogs after getting to know them. I have a fully fenced backyard with a dog door built into the screen door which makes going in and out easy. Throughout the day they have free reign in and out and in the living room

About: I have always had dogs in my life. From mutts to German Shepards to bully breeds, I love them all! I am comfortable walking and hanging out with any and all friends and will handle all breeds with compassion and the care they deserve I am available any day from 9am to 1pm. I am a stay at home mom so I am available during school hours during the week! I will play and hang out with your friend for however long you would like me there to make them comfortable. I will walk dogs as much as is needed for their activity level

About: Animals ranging from Sugar Gliders to cats and dogs to cows have been a part of my life since before I could walk. I used to foster medical case kittens when I lived in Georgia to increase their chances of being adopted into their furever homes I currently work part time, so I can love on your furbabies every day except for tuesdays and wednesdays until after 3 PM. Unfortunately, my home is not pet friendly, but I would love to come to your home and make friends with your animals. I am well-versed in most types of dogs- large and small, timid and excited that I exist, aggressive and love spongey. I have experience with pets working on their potty training and fur babies learning boundaries, as well as animals needing special medical attention.

About: I have been an ongoing volunteer at the Animal Defense League of San Antonio since I was about 9 y/o, taking the dogs on walks and socializing the cats and kittens. I have thorough knowledge and experience with raising and fostering kittens, as well as dogs just under 1y/o. I've owned and fostered cats and dogs at varying life stages, throughout my entire life as well. I am well experienced and knowledgeable in animal care and the handling of a myriad of pets and wildlife. While currently also shadowing a very experienced and accredited dog trainer, I am definitely confident in my ability to provide extra care and love for your sweet, fur-babies. Currently, I am in-between jobs, so I as long as I have about a day's heads-up, I'm usually free pretty much any day to care for you furry friend. I perfer to start my work day around afternoon to late afternoon, though morning time isn't a deal-breaker. I want your pet to experience the least amount of stress possible (especially during the first couple visits), so I try to stick to their daily routine as much as I can. For walks, I am quite comfortable walking bigger dogs that may come across as a lot to handle, despite being of a smaller stature. I have experience with training arduous or physically demanding dogs to walk beautifully on the leash also. As for drop-in visits and sitting, I will always stick to the schedule you provide and the safety and well-being of your pet will always be my top priority.

“My Bailey's home away from home!! Ok so a little background- my dog Bailey is a rescue who was physically abused by her previous owner. For this reason, she is utterly terrified of new people because she has a natural distrust for people following early life events. Kristen and her family originally spent time coming to my house to walk Bailey and spend time with her, and Bailey had been doing well with the new dog walkers! However, after learning about Bailey's concerns, Kristen thought it may improve Bailey's situation to have her spend the day at doggy daycare, and let me tell you, she and her family have done an amazing job taking care of Bailey!!! I've never seen her so happy every day when I come to pick her up (and probably even more happy to be dropped off :P). It's only been a few weeks and I can already tell Kristen and her family are making her feel at home away from home, and carefully allowing her to interact with other dogs and humans when Bailey is ready. I've been absolutely overjoyed seeing her improvement in socialization skills, and, really, just how happy and comfortable she is; makes my day! On a side note, following several meetings with a Behavioralist, I'm actively training her to help improve her anxiety and fear toward people. Kristen understands how important this is and has been ensuring Bailey is trained (in the same way I'm training her for continuity sake) while at doggy daycare, since I don't have the opportunity to train her several times throughout the day during the work week. Her obedience has improved, and better yet, she's starting to see new people with a different outlook; she's excited to make new friends! Thank you Kristen!!”

About: I have several years of pet sitting experience and over six years of working as a vet tech. I have experience with all animals - large, small, and exotic. I have dog training skills and will keep up your routines with your pets while I care for them. I pet sit part time and will always make sure to care for your pet in the way they deserve. Your fur baby is my number one priority while I care for them. I do drop in visits and walks at your home, where your pet is at ease. I am capable of handling both big and small dogs on walks, as I have one of each. I will always make sure your pet is supervised and getting 100% of my attention during my entire time with them. About: I have been animal sitting since I was in single digits. Now I have my own well adjusted (mostly) fur babies that I care for. Rogue, Kevin, Remy and Bernadette are my world. I take pride in the fact that they are never afraid of a raised hand an have never known a day of starvation. Toys are plentiful in our home, as are warm places to sleep. Lap cuddles are always welcome. I have trained two service dogs, as well as taught many more dogs basic manners. No harsh words or raised voices, but reward based systems instead. I am currently a stay-at-home pet mom, so my schedule is wide open. The only standing obligation I have is church on Sundays, which can be adjusted with notice. Same day requests are doable as long as it is not same day boarding. My schedule is already bent to the will of my own fur babies, I can easily to adjust to whatever you need! I have a fenced in yard, and a single story home for safety. I have my own fur babies: Rogue, my senior cat who minds her own business. Kevin, my senior large dog who is a retired service dog. Then my two year old pups, Remy and Bernadette. Remy is an active service dog, while Bernadette has separation anxiety. In our home no animal is left alone. In boarding situations a private space can be provided for your animal. Kennels and gates are available for separation if needed.

About: I have trained my own dogs growing up, I love dogs with a passion & watch all my coworkers dogs when they go on vacation! I am a nurse, so I have an odd schedule. Not every week is the same days of work, but I am very flexible on my days off! I have my own 2 year old Goldendoodle who I take great care of! She gets fed twice a day, I take her on daily walks/runs, and we go to the park about 2-3x a week. I also always take her anywhere I can! She loves to go with me to get coffee and a pup cup. I give them a lot of attention and active play! We try to go on walk at least once a day and get out to the lake when we can! I will be provide boarding, home visits and walking. As you can see from my Iowa reviews I was well liked and had several repeat clients. I will go out of my way to accommodate. I have also had a several dozen clients in Texas since starting here. Rover doesn't always give you an accurate number if there are multiple visits, mulitple animals, cats only, holidays, etc. I will adjust it! *I also do cat care: rates will depend on the number of cats, the number of days, and if there is a dog also. I will give each person a custom rate based on these. House sitting for cats only isn't an option, I will give you a custom cat visit rate (let's face it, they don't need me there all night!) : ) You can be assured you will always get a very reasonable rate. ABOUT ME: A have a lifetime of pet care experience. I grew up with cats and dogs and have had both as an adult (so that is a lot of pet years. 174 in dog years, I think). I have had two different seniors with special needs (one is with me currently). I love them all! My pets are members of my family and I treat them as such. I will do the same for yours. I am comfortable with all sizes, ages, special needs, med administration, etc. Kitty will get love too! If I am house sitting or doing drop in visits while you are away, I can also take care of trash/recycling day, plants, mail. Just ask! Part of the reason we moved was so I could rescue animals. So far, just in Texas, we have rescued 120 dogs, cats, cows, and goats. 30 of the dogs and cats have gone on to be adopted in the Pacific NW and are loving their new lives. 😍 I can accommodate preparing/feeding their special diets if you have them on one (raw food, homemade dog food, etc). I also have a farm sanctuary and we have rescued dogs, cats, cows, goats, hens, guinea pigs, and rabbits. My hours are flexible and animals are my whole life! I am not currently taking animals in my home as I am full with fosters! At your home, I will spend time playing and/or walking on visits depending on client wishes when visiting their home for check-ins or dog walking. I am able to handle all size dogs and multiple dogs. I am able to handle medication administration and various medical procedures. I love cats just as much as I love dogs!
