About: I have dealt with every personality. Whether the pet is shy, elderly, anxious, or energetic, I can adapt. I also give every pet the love it deserves. Walks and cuddles. Not just “watching” but truly engaging. I am currently enrolled in school, so I have plenty of time to watch and care for your little guys. On weekends I am available all day and on weekdays I am available after 2:30pm. I care for pets by keeping their routine the same, giving them lots of love, playtime, and attention. I follow all instructions, keep their space clean, and send photo updates so you always feel comfortable and informed.

About: I have grown up with dogs all my life, from Yorkies to German Shepherds. Providing the love and care to other dogs while you’re away is my priority! To give you the peace of mind your fur baby is both physically and mentally stimulated during our time together. I am very active, love going on hikes and finding new parks in the area! I am in the end of my surgical residency making my schedule relatively flexible. While I am unable to have a dog of my own full time, I can care and love for others in the mean time! While I do live in an apartment, there is a park with walking trails right across the street that I walk daily. Staying active is an essential part of my life!

About: Hello! I’m Miranda and I love animals, I have volunteered at my local animal shelter for almost a year! I helped with dog walking, socializing the dogs with people and with community events to help the light shine over our animals. I’m going to be a substitute teacher for this next school year! During the summer I am wanting to stay active and make new furry friends along the way. I’ll be available during the weekends when the school year is in session, but I am also committed to work a schedule after school hours as well. I have a fenced yard and some sections of my yard have a separate fence so my small dog can explore without being close to the road. She has her own car seat on my vehicle. Volunteering at the animal shelter has helped me specialize in high anxiety dogs and very active big dogs.

About: I’ve taken care of my senior dog for four years before she passed away. This includes feeding, bathing, brushing, meeting her potty needs and walking. I also pet sit for two dogs when their owner is out of town. I work for a restaurant during the morning or afternoon shift for roughly 6 hours. I can work in between those times and I only have one shift a day. (Some days are completely open!) I am very good about respecting spaces and following directions. I usually walk dogs twice a day around the neighborhood; however, I will follow whatever directions are given. I love giving attention to pets, especially dogs that need some extra care. Adopting my dog as a senior gave me a special love for all senior dogs!

About: LATEST PUPDATE (MAY 2026): Starting the month of June, I'll be able to start accepting drop in & sitting requests again. Boarding requests (in our home) are still unavailable at this time, as our pup continues to focus on his rehab & recovery. We will update this accordingly & hopefully be back to hosting your furry loved ones as soon as we can. Thank you for your patience & understanding. Hi there, I'm Erika! A true dog lover at heart & someone who enjoys the outdoors just as much! I love going hiking with my furry friends or taking them on outings to some of Abq's nicest parks, ice cream joints, dog friendly stores/events, & much more. I enjoy keeping my friends active unless they're more of a couch potato, in which we could certainly cuddle up & watch Animal Planet or Paw Patrol all night. I grew up with several rescue dogs, from small to large, and breeds of all sorts. Therefore, I learned the responsibility of caring for and walking dogs at a very young age. I've also spent a lot of time fostering dogs from puppies to seniors & the shy timid ones that just need a little time to warm up. I'm a big lover of the working breeds & understand the special kind that they are. Regardless, I love anything with fur & paws & I treat all dogs with the love & care just as they are my own.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and understand the responsibility that comes with caring for them. I currently walk my own dog several miles a day, often totaling a couple hundred miles each month. I’m comfortable handling large breeds, high-energy dogs, and maintaining steady, structured walks. As an Army veteran, I bring reliability, discipline, and consistency to every visit. I take pride in being punctual, dependable, and respectful of your home. I understand that trust is everything when someone is caring for your dog, and I don’t take that lightly. For friendly, social dogs, I also offer the option of bringing my well-mannered Sheepadoodle, Curly, along for walks at no extra charge. He’s great with people and other dogs and can provide positive companionship and added exercise. This is always optional and only done with your approval after a proper introduction to ensure a good fit. Whether it’s an exercise-focused walk or a drop-in visit, your dog will be treated with patience, structure, and genuine care. Curly is with me almost 100% of the time — he’s truly part of my daily routine and always close by. We walk every day, and I make sure he gets consistent exercise, structure, and attention. He’s on a Hill’s Science Diet prescription food due to urinary tract issues, so I’m very strict about his diet to prevent kidney stones and keep him healthy. Managing his care has made me very attentive to routines, feeding schedules, and health monitoring. Because of that, I understand how important consistency is. During walks, I keep dogs on a secure leash and harness, monitor them closely for traffic, other dogs, or hazards, and adjust pace to each dog’s comfort and energy level. At home, I supervise interactions with Curly carefully, ensure doors and gates are always closed, and separate dogs when needed to maintain a calm, safe environment. I provide daily walks, structured routine, and plenty of attention. I follow each owner’s feeding schedule carefully and stick strictly to any dietary instructions, as I understand how important that is from managing my own dog Curly’s prescription diet.

About: Now serving the greater Albuquerque Area! To all of my Utah clients, I miss your pups 💜 I moved to Albuquerque in September 2023. When I moved to Utah, by myself, in January 2023, I got lonely and craved animal connection, so I began with Rover. It has been such a great thing in my life. I hope to continue my services in New Mexico. I now have 2 pups of my own, but my partner cares for them when I am sitting. I will never bring them to a sit unless prior meeting and permission of the owners. Bloopers and Scub are young, big, lover boys with a lot of energy. They LOVE other dogs. Sophie, my senior pup, had to be put down before I moved to Utah. I cared for her heart and kidney failure for 3 years. I am experienced with senior pups and can handle all the way down to puppies, too. I love cats. I am also a trained bird handler. I have pet sit for my professors and coworkers before, from hunting lab puppies to senior Maltese. Since moving to Utah at the beginning of the year, I have house sat, done drop-ins, and walks. I have house sat for all kinds of pups from labs to yorkies, goldendoodles to bulldogs. I work a very flexible full-time, telework option, job. I can check/walk in morning, lunch, dinner and through the night if needed. Week days and weekends. I have extensive experience giving pets drugs and other heath needs. I can do any form of exercise or travel needed. I will always double check doors are locked and secured.

About: I love animals and have taken care of dogs and cats of many different kinds for 15 years. As an owner of both a dog (Beary) and a cat (Fufu), I understand the different needs of both. I’m very attentive to feeding schedules, mood changes, and exercise needs. What sets me apart: Full Overnight Availability: I have reliable support for my own pets at home, which allows me to stay at your house overnight and focus entirely on your pets without needing to leave. Professional Trust: I am a regular, trusted dog walker for my therapist and neighbors in the local area. Observation Skills: I closely monitor behavior and eating habits to ensure every pet is healthy and happy. Clean & Respectful: As a student, I am quiet and organized. I treat your home with the same respect I treat my own. I have a very structured and organized routine. Because I am taking mostly online courses, my schedule allows me plenty of time for drop-in or full time visits, and I have reliable support at home for my own pets, which gives me the freedom to stay overnight at your house without any distractions. I am punctual, dedicated, and stay highly communicative with regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing while you're away. I’ve grown up around animals my entire life. About: I have experience caring for dogs and cats and am confident in providing attentive, reliable care. My experience includes feeding, walking, playtime, and maintaining daily routines. I prioritize each pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being, and I strive to provide dependable care so owners can feel confident while they are away. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine. I currently care for two kittens and a puppy, so my schedule includes feeding, playtime, walks, training, and cleaning throughout the day. Because I’m used to balancing the different needs of young pets, I’m organized, attentive, and consistent with routines. This makes it easy for me to provide reliable, high-quality care for additional pets during the week. In my home, I provide a safe, clean, and pet-friendly environment with close supervision, regular feeding, playtime, and plenty of attention. I follow established routines and provide age-appropriate care, including training support for puppies and enrichment for kittens. In a client’s home, I respect their space and closely follow all care instructions to keep pets comfortable in their familiar environment. This includes feeding, walks, litter box or waste cleanup, playtime, medication if needed, and regular updates to owners. My goal is to maintain consistency, reduce stress, and ensure each pet feels secure and well cared for.

About: I don’t really have any restrictions on what I can handle, I’m used to taking care of elderly dogs, and having to cater to specialized diets or even mobility issues. But I have also cared for very energetic puppies, and middle-age dogs who just need to get out of the house or have a little companionship. I am a student athlete however, I do tend to have a lot of free time in the midday to afternoon range and on the weekends. I have two other very friendly dogs, and a large fenced in yard that is also close to a lot of other walking paths and parks. There is also plenty of space in my house in order to for dogs to be kept separately if they are not friendly, or cater to other needs such as crates.

  • 95% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 92% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
