Frequent home check-ins or dog walks are provided in the immediate Lodi area. All pets have their own preference. When boarding at Sleepy Pooch, pets are well supervised. Frequent outdoor activity is offered in a large fenced back yard. Larger dogs can be walked daily, if desired. Your loved one can sleep in the bedroom, alone in a kennel, or with the host’s pooch if he/she prefers. For pets who prefer to stay home, your host assures security of your property when entering and exiting. A mask will be worn at all times while inside your home. I assess the situation to identify any housekeeping issues that need to be addressed to keep your pet and home safe while you are away. Any mail or packages are brought inside. Cat boxes will be thoroughly cleaned at all times. Rest assured that I will take responsibility for your pet as if he/she is one of my own family members. DOG WALKING NOTE. Please have doggy leashed and ready to pick up for their walk. I currently have a 7 yr old Shih Tzu and a 2 yr old Maine Coon, and help my mom and siblings and daughter with their own dogs frequently (a Goldendoodle, a Frenchie, a Husky, and another Shih Tzu). I work remotely full-time and would love to earn extra income by pet sitting! For drop-in visits, I am fully available Sat/Sun, but Mon-Fri I'm only available between 6:00-7:30am and any time after 4:00pm. As long as I can work from your home during the week for consecutive overnight weekday stays that require me there 24/7, I am more than open to that as well. I would follow any specific directions and ensure your pet's regular routines and comforts are followed as closely as possible in my care. I am also comfortable making any decisions in real-time as needed to accommodate.

If you are working on leash training or basic commands like 'sit' and 'stay,' I make sure to incorporate those into our walks so your progress doesn't stall. I am also experienced with senior care, understanding that sometimes a 'walk' is more about a slow sniff-around-the-block and some gentle companionship than a fast-paced walk. My professional life is uniquely flexible, which allows me to be a great anchor for an early morning walk or early afternoon walk. I am available Mon-Thurs 5am-7:30am and 3:30pm to 8:30pm. Friday, Saturday and Sundays I am available all day for those walks and check ins that are needed when errands outs are the priority. I will treat your home with the same level of respect I’d want for my own. My process is thorough: I double check that all doors are deadbolted, alarm systems are set, and water bowls are topped off before I leave. To keep you in the loop, I provide detailed Rover Cards after every visit. You’ll receive photos of our adventures, a map of our walk, and a summary of all 'business' handled. If a mess occurred while you were away, I handle the clean up thoroughly so you can come home to a fresh house and a happy, relaxed pet.
