A plan for your pooch's stay at my Guest House will be tailored to your dog's individual personality, behavioral patterns, and owner preferences. A convenient location, we have a large shaded and fenced back yard for little dogs to explore and romp. Medium-sized pooches can be accompanied on walks around the pet-friendly neighborhood. A comfy bed awaits your pup for a sound night's sleep. Recently retired, so I can devote even more time to your fury family. Frequent home check-ins or dog walks are provided in the immediate Lodi area. All pets have their own preference. When boarding at Sleepy Pooch, pets are well supervised. Frequent outdoor activity is offered in a large fenced back yard. Larger dogs can be walked daily, if desired. Your loved one can sleep in the bedroom, alone in a kennel, or with the host’s pooch if he/she prefers. For pets who prefer to stay home, your host assures security of your property when entering and exiting. A mask will be worn at all times while inside your home. I assess the situation to identify any housekeeping issues that need to be addressed to keep your pet and home safe while you are away. Any mail or packages are brought inside. Cat boxes will be thoroughly cleaned at all times. Rest assured that I will take responsibility for your pet as if he/she is one of my own family members. DOG WALKING NOTE. Please have doggy leashed and ready to pick up for their walk. If your request involves entering the home or property to retrieve and prep the dog for a walk, select “Drop-in Visit” and add a note to request a walk during the visit. —Proof of current unexpired rabies vaccination is required for all pets—

About: I grew up on a ranch with many different animals! I have a huge love for all animals and would love nothing more than to get to share my love for animals with your pets! I am trust worthy, communicative, and promise to strive to always ensure the best experience possible! I will love and take care of your pets as if they were my own. I have experience with training basic skills to puppies and even senior care for older dogs! Females in heat? I’ve dealt with a few, they deserve all the compassion! I hope you choose me to have the pleasure of taking care of your pets! Sliding scale for pricing offered! I’m currently at home most the day and available to maneuver my schedule around your needs! You let me know what your pets need and I will make it a top priority! My cats are indoor only kitties and have lots of vertical space along with zoomi certified runways (hallways) for them to play! My yard is fenced in entirely but rather large and dogs off leash would easily be out of site if not watched. I also have a few chickens on the property so I’d like to be cautious of them.

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I cared for my own deaf English Bulldog for 10 years, learning how to communicate through touch, patience, and consistency. I also cared for my senior black Lab with hip issues—giving gentle massages and modifying our walks so we could still enjoy time together safely. About: Kevin and I have both been caring for dogs and many other types of animals for our entire lives and absolutely couldn’t envision our life without several animals. Kevin has grown up around a family dog business - participating in AKC scent trials, agility training, boarding and almost any other type of dog event & training you can imagine. I’ve had cats and dogs my entire lifetime and used to help foster kittens as a child and teenager. We currently have two dogs, several cats, chickens, turkeys and more. Your animals will be in safe and caring hands with us! We both work but set our own schedules and/or work from home so your dog will rarely, if ever, be left alone. Since we have animals of our own, caring for additional pets is not a problem and part of our normal lifestyle. We have a large fenced dog run outside, in home kennel area, along with crates for crate trained dogs. Our property is about 5 acres and fully fenced with front gates so dogs cannot leave the area. We also have a couple large lawns we use for doggy playtime, fetch and training sessions.

About: I’ve been lucky enough to have had my own pack of large dogs — each with their own unique personalities, temperaments and needs — which means your dog gets attentive, structured, and individualized care. I'm a lover of all dogs but the big ones melt my heart and I have found through my own experience it can be difficult to find boarding for these big fur babies and their big personalities. Pet care fits seamlessly into my routine since I’m home most of the day. This allows me to provide consistent supervision, timely walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of attention throughout the day. For in-home sitting, I focus on maintaining each pet’s normal routine while providing a calm, secure environment. I follow all owner instructions closely for feeding, medication, walks, and house rules. I’m attentive to behavior changes and prioritize safety at all times. In my own home, I use gates as needed to manage space and ensure dogs are safely separated when appropriate. I also have spacious in-home kennels available for rest, feeding, or downtime if a dog is crate-trained or needs a quiet space. I have a secure yard for supervised outdoor time.

About: Looking back on my life, there’s never been a time. I haven’t had a dog. Dogs to me are like built-in best friends. I do not know of any adult or child that runs up and greets me with kisses hugs and pure excitement. I’ve always said I wish people Could take lessons from dogs of how to treat each other. Every dog is unique and special in their own way. I am currently retired and am able to give any of our four legged guest attention and companionship. I enjoy spending time with dogs so they will be well cared for while with me. Weather, I am caring for your dog at my own home or in their home safety and care is my number one priority. My own dogs have the belief that they own our home and our gracious enough to let us stay.. We have a huge backyard and allow our animals to sit on Couch to watch TV with us and of course they sleep in bed with us. I also have a separate room for overnight visitors with a bad and room to play.

I prefer a meet-n-greet prior to appointments. I become their 'guard' dog. I'm extremely protective of my pets, and that transfers over to yours. I intuitively know where they are and what they are doing. I can't help it, it's a built in mechanism.
