Being a former mail carrier (*insert mailman being chased by dog punchline*), I befriended animals everyday on my routes, and with this I understand, and take seriously, the respect, safety, and awareness needed in becoming acquainted with new furry friends. Anything from Lhasa apso to cocker spaniel to labradoodle to pit bull and to Doberman, you name it, I’ve cared for them! I’ve spent many years administering, vet-approved, health/quality of life medications (anxiety, infections, fleas, etc.), bathing/brushing/drying, and exercising dogs. I love seniors and puppies all the same, all are welcome! It is my mission to provide ease and comfort for you, and your beloved fur-family, until you're back home with them again; all while doing something that I love :) My current schedule is open 7 days a week, from early morning, up until 8pm at night. Anything from a walk, a couple hours, or part of a day, I’ll take care of them! My home resides in a quiet suburb, and includes the following:. About: Since I was old enough to walk, animals have been a loving part of my life. Growing up in a household where pets were treated as family, taught me that every dog and cat has a unique personality and set of needs. I am particularly skilled at reinforcing consistent routines. If you are working on leash training or basic commands like 'sit' and 'stay,' I make sure to incorporate those into our walks so your progress doesn't stall. I am also experienced with senior care, understanding that sometimes a 'walk' is more about a slow sniff-around-the-block and some gentle companionship than a fast-paced walk. My professional life is uniquely flexible, which allows me to be a great anchor for an early morning walk or early afternoon walk. I am available Mon-Thurs 5am-7:30am and 3:30pm to 8:30pm. Friday, Saturday and Sundays I am available all day for those walks and check ins that are needed when errands outs are the priority. I will treat your home with the same level of respect I’d want for my own. My process is thorough: I double check that all doors are deadbolted, alarm systems are set, and water bowls are topped off before I leave. To keep you in the loop, I provide detailed Rover Cards after every visit. You’ll receive photos of our adventures, a map of our walk, and a summary of all 'business' handled. If a mess occurred while you were away, I handle the clean up thoroughly so you can come home to a fresh house and a happy, relaxed pet.

A convenient location, we have a large shaded and fenced back yard for little dogs to explore and romp. Medium-sized pooches can be accompanied on walks around the pet-friendly neighborhood. A comfy bed awaits your pup for a sound night's sleep. Recently retired, so I can devote even more time to your fury family. Frequent home check-ins or dog walks are provided in the immediate Lodi area. All pets have their own preference. When boarding at Sleepy Pooch, pets are well supervised. Frequent outdoor activity is offered in a large fenced back yard. Larger dogs can be walked daily, if desired. Your loved one can sleep in the bedroom, alone in a kennel, or with the host’s pooch if he/she prefers. For pets who prefer to stay home, your host assures security of your property when entering and exiting. A mask will be worn at all times while inside your home. I assess the situation to identify any housekeeping issues that need to be addressed to keep your pet and home safe while you are away. Any mail or packages are brought inside. Cat boxes will be thoroughly cleaned at all times. Rest assured that I will take responsibility for your pet as if he/she is one of my own family members. DOG WALKING NOTE. Please have doggy leashed and ready to pick up for their walk. If your request involves entering the home or property to retrieve and prep the dog for a walk, select “Drop-in Visit” and add a note to request a walk during the visit. —Proof of current unexpired rabies vaccination is required for all pets—

About: I've grown up with animals of all types and have extensive experience with dog behavior and training. I have a calm yet confident presence when working with animals that allows them to respect and respond appropriately. I currently have a 7 yr old Shih Tzu and a 2 yr old Maine Coon, and help my mom and siblings and daughter with their own dogs frequently (a Goldendoodle, a Frenchie, a Husky, and another Shih Tzu). I work remotely full-time and would love to earn extra income by pet sitting! For drop-in visits, I am fully available Sat/Sun, but Mon-Fri I'm only available between 6:00-7:30am and any time after 4:00pm. As long as I can work from your home during the week for consecutive overnight weekday stays that require me there 24/7, I am more than open to that as well. I would follow any specific directions and ensure your pet's regular routines and comforts are followed as closely as possible in my care. I am also comfortable making any decisions in real-time as needed to accommodate.
