“Zelda, our dog, has separation anxiety. Rayna visited a few times before her stay and was calm and gentle with Zelda. It was very evident that, after we returned home from our trip, Rayna did everything she could to make Zelda comfortable and feel safe even though her pack was away. Rayna was quick to respond to my texts during our vacation and took very good care of the house.”

“Rebecca is our dog sitter for life! She is so invested in our pup and goes above and beyond to make sure he has everything he needs. Our 15 year old chiweenie was diagnosed with end stage kidney disease 5 days before our trip and Rebecca gave us the peace of mind to move forward with going on our trip. She coordinated his care and made sure he had all his meds. He was a brand new puppy when we got back, thanks to her love, attention and compassion. We can’t recommend her highly enough!”

About: I’ve been around of medium/large dogs essentially my entire life and have provided care to them during every stage of their lives. I posses the confidence, patience, and discipline needed to care for young pets and those in training. I’d love to meet your fur babes soon! I am actively searching for full-time employment, so I have lots of time to play and train with your pets. I do have my own working dog, who has daily needs to be fulfilled. I have a field line Labrador who has a neutral demeanor and typically pays no mind to other animals. My yard isn’t big enough for much other than going potty, however I have a large park nearby for fetch and the neighborhood perfect for walks.
About: I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, including large and high-energy breeds. As a dog owner, I’m very comfortable with routines, walks, and giving pets the attention and care they need to feel safe and happy. I currently have an open and flexible schedule, so I’m available most days and times for pet care. I plan my day around feeding, walks, and giving pets consistent attention and care. I provide a safe, clean, and structured environment with consistent routines, supervision, and lots of attention. I always follow owner instructions closely to ensure pets feel comfortable, secure, and stress-free.

About: For the past four years, I have raised and cared for chickens, lambs, and goats for our county fair. My responsibilities included feeding, cleaning pens, changing water, and walking and training each animal one to two times daily. I always made sure to dedicate consistent, quality time to properly train and care for each of my animals. While these are not the specific types of animals I would be caring for in this position, I believe this experience reflects my strong work ethic, responsibility, and ability to care for animals of all sizes and needs. In addition to my fair experience, I have had animals my entire life. Currently, I have three dogs and ten chickens at home, and I am responsible for their daily care, including feeding, cleaning, and overall needs. My oldest dog is 15 years old, and I have been primarily responsible for his care for the past seven years. Most of my experience is with small dogs under 20 pounds, but I have also walked and cared for larger dogs weighing around 100 pounds. Additionally I have been a prominent member of Tokay FFA’s Veterinary science team, on this team I’ve learned dozens of minor medical procedures that I am confident in doing such as administration of various medications via oral, aural, and injections, bandage wrapping and removal, and the concept of safe handling with all kinds of animals. I am well versed in many species of animals, ages, and sizes so I hope to be a good fit for your beloved pets. I am currently on summer break and will be attending college this coming fall, as of right now my schedule is fairly open. T is a few days where my hours may change, but overall I am available at all times of day every day to fit your needs. Times are subject to change and if I ever have a conflict I will be sure to notify you with proper prior notice to ensure your pets are taken care of. If there is fences at your home I will always be sure to lock and close them behind me if your pets are inside, I am also well versed in handling larger dogs/animals so I will not easily be pushed to the side if your pet is prone to doing so. I am confident in my animal handling skills and if your dog needs to be fenced in or crated I am confident I can do so.
“Elizabeth house-sat for us for a few days while we were away and took wonderful care of our fur babies and garden. She was thoughtful, incredibly detail-oriented, and kept us updated with photos throughout our trip. We always felt confident that she was responsive, trustworthy, and attentive to everything at home. It gave us great peace of mind knowing everything was in such capable hands. Thank you, Elizabeth!”
“Megan did an outstanding job with my two doxies Monte and Gracie. This was my first time having someone house sit through Rover which I thought might be better for my epileptic boy. Megan communicated with me daily to give me updates and pictures of my two pups. She even took care of a few of my outside plants and I came home to a super clean house. I would 100% hire her again to watch my fur babies. Thank you so much Megan…if I could give 10 stars I would.”

“We are really excited to have found Daniella. She is very reliable and competent. She did everything we needed plus some. She took care of our 3 dogs and our horse. She sent us lots of pictures and updates. Our dogs are my babies and it makes me anxious to leave them but I could tell in the pictures they were enjoying themselves and happy so I could relax and enjoy myself. We will definitely use Daniella again.”

About: I have over 10 years of experience in pet boarding and looking after the pets of my friends and family. I have assisted in training puppies as well as adult dogs, so I am more than happy to assist in training your animals while you're away by keeping up a specific schedule or regimen. I also have personal experience caring for elderly dogs as well as dogs with anxiety disorders, happy to work with them in any special ways needed. I typically find myself doing a lot of my busy work and essential activities in the afternoons and evenings. For this reason, majority of my availability for short visits will be in the mornings, but happy to discuss other arrangements if needed. I have a large backyard and property that your bestie will just love, if they stay over at my place. I have multiple sized dog beds so no matter babies size they'll have a lovely place to rest their head.

About: Since I was old enough to walk, animals have been a loving part of my life. Growing up in a household where pets were treated as family, taught me that every dog and cat has a unique personality and set of needs. I am particularly skilled at reinforcing consistent routines. If you are working on leash training or basic commands like 'sit' and 'stay,' I make sure to incorporate those into our walks so your progress doesn't stall while you're at work. I am also experienced with senior care, understanding that sometimes a 'walk' is more about a slow sniff-around-the-block and some gentle companionship than a fast-paced walk. My professional life is uniquely flexible, which allows me to be the reliable 'midday anchor' for your pet’s day. I have dedicated my Wednesday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, specifically to pet care. This means I am available during the most high-demand hours—when you’re stuck in back-to-back meetings or enjoying a weekend afternoon away. Because I don't juggle a rigid 9-to-5 office job, I can offer consistent arrival windows and the focused attention your pet deserves without rushing to the next appointment. I will treat your home with the same level of respect I’d want for my own. My process is thorough: I double-check that all doors are deadbolted, alarm systems are set, and water bowls are topped off before I leave. To keep you in the loop, I provide detailed Rover Cards after every visit. You’ll receive photos of our adventures, a map of our walk, and a summary of all 'business' handled. If a mess occurred while you were away, I handle the clean-up discreetly and thoroughly so you can come home to a fresh house and a happy, relaxed pet.
“Taylor is a great sitter and our baby dog loved her. She was on time, responsive, and responsible. She's very calm and was so good with our very active boy. She also kept us updated and sent great photos - particularly nice for nervous parents.... Highly recommend her and would give more stars if I could!”

“She went above and beyond what I expected, my dogs love her because the word sitter doesn’t describe her at all because she hardly sat. She interacted with them and took them for walks more often than they were used to. Now I know I can go away for several days without worrying about them and her prices are affordable. I think she’s great and my dogs do too!”

“We had a fantastic experience with Chloe! From start to finish, she was incredibly communicative, keeping us updated and ensuring we felt at ease while we were away. Our dog absolutely *loves* Chloe, and it's clear she has a natural connection with animals. She even provided us with some valuable insights into our dog’s habits while on walks. If you're looking for someone who genuinely cares about your pet and goes the extra mile, we highly recommend Chloe! We'll definitely be booking with her again.”

About: "Having grown up around animals all my life, I have a natural instinct for reading a pet's body language and understanding their needs. What sets me apart is my commitment to customized care—I adapt to your pet's specific personality, whether they are playful, shy, or need extra cuddle time. I treat every guest just like a member of my own family." Since I work from home full-time, pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine. My schedule is highly flexible, allowing me to provide constant companionship, frequent bathroom breaks, and playtime whenever needed. I naturally take breaks throughout the day to stretch my legs, which is the perfect time for walks or backyard play. Your pet will essentially be my 'co-worker' and will rarely be left unattended. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. When hosting pets in my home, I ensure the environment is fully pet-proofed, clean, and free of any hazards. Pets are never left unattended, and I always do a slow, supervised introduction if other animals are present. I strictly follow your feeding, crating, and bathroom routines to keep their environment as familiar as possible. If I am caring for your pet in your own home, I respect your space and follow your house rules to the letter. I maintain your security protocols, ensure doors and gates are always locked, and keep a close eye on your pet during walks to avoid any unsafe interactions. No matter the location, I promise to send you daily photo and text updates so you can have complete peace of mind while you are away.
About: I have been an animal lover since as young as I could remember. I can provide your furbaby with a loving home away from home. I have experience of 4 years fostering with local rescues and the Stockton Animal shelter. I primarily have worked with cats and kittens ranging from 4 weeks to adults cats. I also have a cat of my own, who loves the company of other cats and kittens. In my home there is a dedicated space to play and have access to a cat tower that overlooks a bird feeder for bird watching - this is an HUGE hit with my own furbaby. This room also is quiet and provides a calm and secure room for furbabies that may be a bit more on the skiddish and shy side. Ensuring that your pet is comfortable and safe is my biggest concern. I am second grade teacher and while the some days are longer than most, I will have plenty of time to dedicate to your fur baby! I have a cat of my own and playtime is an important part of our day. I will be sure to give your baby plenty of pets and cuddles. Ensuring that your furbaby is stress free and safe are my #1 concerns. You furbaby, will be able to roam freely and explore my home as if it is their own, unless you prefer otherwise. I also have an office space that doubles as a room dedicated to my cat that is filled with toys for enrichment!
“Ryckie was super sweet and really wonderful with our senior dog, who has terrible arthritis, is a finicky eater, and needs extra attention due to his need to "potty" often. She made sure to keep him company whilst we were out of town, and our home was perfectly cared for. She even switched a day up due to an error on my behalf, and we are so grateful for her flexibility. Highly, highly recommend!”

“Stephanie took care of our 10 week old pup, Bella, for a weekend. Bella seemed to bond well with Stephanie. Stephanie sent periodic pictures of Bella to us. We could see that Bella was happy and well cared for during our absence.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Morada walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Morada maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Morada choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Morada. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
