“Second time hiring her. She was able to accommodate extra visits on short notice and a day early, since one kitty got sick right before my trip. She got all the kitties to warm at least a little to her, including the scaredy cat. Would hire a third time.”

About: I’ve had a love for animals since I was a little girl. My mom has always had a love for cats so we got to raise multiple cats and their kittens growing up. When I was 6-8 I finally got the responsibility of my own dog. It was a huge deal to me and taught me so many things I’m glad I was able to learn at a young age. Animals are a huge responsibility, from health to sensory play to ensure the animal is as happy as can be it’s all a big deal to me. When I was 18 I started to work for another at home pet care service and learned even more useful things. How to administer medecine, how to care for senior dogs and their special needs, and how to love and take care of any animal as if it was my own. At 20 I got the pleasure to work at PetSmart Pet Hotel , although it was short lived because of my living situation at the time it taught me a lot. I got to work with all kinds of different dogs and cats with different temperaments and medical needs. From some of the most viscous dogs to the sweetest ones , I always strived to make all of those animals happy as long as they were with me Animal care fits into my everyday life. Having 5 dogs and 2 cats, may seem like a lot to some, but being able to give a home to all my animals while making them happy is such a treasure to me. I have a fenced yard and 5 loud but friendly dogs and 2 cats. My dogs eat on a twice a day schedule to help them stay on a routine and not be all over the place. I take all my dogs (except for the senior) on walks either daily or a few times a week if we chose to do longer hikes at Deep Lake. I strive to keep all my pets happy, clean , and respectful

“Elizabeth (Lizzie) did a fantastic job watching our kitty. She was communicative and very easy to work with. She provided him with great care and send us great photos. I highly recommend using her as your pet sitter”

About: I’m a 19 year old college student who has always loved animals. I currently have a dog and a cat of my own, and I’ve helped care for pets for friends and neighbors over the years. I have experience with dogs and cats of different ages, including puppies, and I’m comfortable administering medications when needed. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. “Stefani is great! We have four cats, and one of them needs insulin twice daily. She made house visits while we were gone, and everything went well. We came back after a week to find them healthy and happy. We would definitely trust Stefani and recommend her.”

“We had a change of plans and needed a sitter; Kamren helped us out and was able to get my shy kitty to warm up to him too! He sent me plenty of pictures showing how my cats were doing and he was good at responding back. Would definitely have him watch my babies next time we need a sitter!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Yakima
Sara was amazing! She was so kind to the animals, I could tell in the pictures and how they were reacting to her. She showed up every day as expected, at the time agreed upon, and stayed her entire visit per the check-in/check-out and the door camera. I would gladly hire her again when needed!
From the very beginning Samantha has provided excellent care and concern for my dog. She took extra time and consideration since this was the first time leaving my pet. I loved her thorough reports each day and I didn’t worry about my dog once. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough amazing things about the care Axel received—absolute top-tier experience from start to finish. From the moment we connected, I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such capable, attentive, and genuinely caring hands. Axel isn’t just any dog—he’s my Doberman, my sidekick—and I’m very particular about who I trust with him. This sitter went above and beyond in every way. Communication was consistent and thoughtful, with regular updates, photos, and little details that reassured me he was not just being watched, but truly cared for and loved. Axel came back happy, relaxed, and clearly well-exercised—which says everything. It’s obvious he was treated like family, not just a booking. The attention to his needs, his personality, and his routine was spot on. If you’re looking for someone who delivers professionalism, reliability, and genuine heart—this is your person. I would trust them with Axel again in a heartbeat. Absolutely exceptional

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
