“Stephanie always does a great job with my puppy and I feel very confident and comfortable with her watching him. She’s also very good with communicating when she’ll be available and quick to respond. Thank you Stephanie!”

“I always love having Dakota check on my cats when I go on weekend camping trips. My boys love him and he always sends messages and photos for each visit. I highly recommend Dakota when you need a pet sitter.”

“We definitely recommend Sarah to use as a dog sitter! We were wary of leaving our dog with a stranger, as she usually stays with family, but Sarah was very knowledgeable/experienced and our minds were at ease on vacation knowing our fur child was in good hands.”

“Jenna is a treasure! We are so thrilled we found a caring, reliable, trustworthy person to take care of our furbabies while we’re away! She did an excellent job caring for each of our cats, with very different personalities & needs. She left us detailed notes, lots of pictures & kept us updated the whole time we were away! Peace of mind is priceless - she’s worth every penny & more! Book with her, you’ll be glad you did!”

“Brittani is such a kind, caring person. She has always responded quick to my last minute requests and always seems to make it work even with busy schedules. My cat doesn’t like many people at all and sometimes I even think he likes her more than myself- little traitor haha. She always goes above and beyond with him (she’ll often bring new toys or treats that he loves). I trust Brittani implicitly and it gives me such peace of mind knowing I don’t have to worry about anything at home when I have to be away. I can’t recommend her enough!!!”

“Shelly was extremely attentive and timely when caring for my baby. She maintained excellent communication and provided me with updates on how my cat was doing. I highly recommend her!”

About: I've taken care of the family dogs for as long as I've been conscious enough to and have further sat for family friends and other relatives. I have trained my own puppy (he's almost 3 now), have some experience with administering medication (oral and topical), and have looked after senior dogs in various stages of their old age. I have owned and cared for dogs of various sizes from tiny chihuahuas to larger than average rottweiler mixes and handled many different temperaments. I currently do not have a job, so I am able to spend as long as necessary with your pet. I am free all day on weekends for things like check ins or walks, but on most weekdays I can only do boarding. I have a fully fenced in yard and two friendly (medium to large) dogs to play with. I also have a large crate available if it is ever needed.
“Brittni was an amazing sitter for my kitty! She’s super responsive, a good communicator, thoughtful, punctual, and really sweet with pets. Luna seemed to warm up to her right away! I’d highly recommend Brittni as a pet sitter and will definitely be booking with her again.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Yakima
I always feel comfortable going out of town and having Dakota drop in the check on the boys. He alwasy makes sure they have food, water, treats and cleans out the litter boxes. He always leaves nice notes letting me know how the boys are doing and will include lots of pictures. I really appreciate how much he does for my boys. I highly recommend using Dakota for any kind of cat sitting.

Peggy was a joy to work with. She made sure my 2 boys were well taken care of while we were all out of town. I came home to 2 very happy cats. My Yuki really liked her and he usually doesn't like anyone. My LilBits even let her get a photo of him to send to me and he usually hides from everyone. I am very happy that Peggy was there for us.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Yakima. On Rover:

- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
