“Amazing! Rafaelina was extremely accommodating last minute. Her love and support was incredible and the space provided for our pup is superb. She treats your pet like her own and your pet will have a blast.”

“Jocelyn is a wonderful dog sitter! She shared pictures and videos of our dog every day we were away. She is very responsive to texts. We would definitely leave our dog with her again when we are away 😊”

“Chialing was friendly, communicative, and professional. She had our timid dog high fives within the hour. It was comforting knowing our dog was in good hands with the regular walls, a clean home, and of course a great host. Thank you so much!”

“This was my first time using this service, and I was very impressed. She sent me frequent updates with photos and messages about my dog’s condition throughout the day, which made me feel comfortable and reassured. It was a reliable and trustworthy experience, and I will definitely use her service again if I have the chance!”

“Jorge is such a kind dog boarder. This would be the second time That my cockapoo had an extended stay with him. I got plenty of photo and video showing how much fun my dog was having. Fully Recommend.”

“Noelle is such an amazing individual. My pup had anxiety the first night I dropped her off and Noelle was very good at communicating everything with me. After the first night Phoenix did a full 360 and was having the best time with Noelle. I will gladly use Noelle to sit for Phoenix.”

“I was super nervous about leaving my Kenzo. It was the first time we did a vacation without him. Evan made me feel comfortable. He sent updates and pictures. My dog was whining when he saw Evan go inside so that’s a plus. I will definitely book Evan again when needed.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my PASSION! I’m a 32 year old Taurus who has been on CLOUD NINE since welcoming my first pet in May of last year, since then, as a dog mom myself… I decided that I want to be that home away from home for other dog owners who may be apprehensive about leaving their pet in the care of someone else. What I can assure you is that your dog will be loved, cared for, and attended to as if he or she was my very own! I have a career in life insurance, and I’m home all the time, and my dog does get lonely I think! It would be great for him to have a fur friend as a play date sometimes, so I thought of ROVER!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩 I hope to see all of your doggies soon!! I work full time as a life insurance agent, and spend most of my work days with the exception of Monday, at my computer, on the phone, or at the occasional in person event where I would definitely adjust my schedule here to reflect those dates. I live in an apartment with three flights to walk up. I can carry your dog up and down if needed, but my little Yorkieton skips right up and down! Lol Pets are allowed on the furniture, and Blue has a guest bed for visitors that will be washed frequently as well, and an extra blanket. Blue eats Instinct Raw, but also has Wholehearted brand dry food if your pet doesn’t bring any of their own, we are willing to share! Fresh spring water only and no tap water!
“Stephanie & Corey have been nothing short of awesome when caring for my 14 y/o chihuahua. They were excellent with communication, showed loving concern throughout his stay, and administered various medications - going as far as to report how it went and provide feedback on his state of being, which was always cozy! They are excellent and I recommend not hesitating when booking them.”

“Iliana took great care of our dog Eggo. She was very responsive, replying messages within minutes. Friendly, helpful, accommodating, she was delightful to work with. While on vacation, we missed Eggo dearly and got great comfort from the photos she sent every day. I will not hesitate to use Iliana again!”

“June loves Valentina and her family so much. She always comes back very happy and also very tired, so I know she is well taken care of! I always use Valentina for boarding. Highly recommend!”

“Jaylynn took care of my cat, Mochi, for a week while I was away on vacation, and I’m so grateful for the wonderful care she gave her. I was able to enjoy my trip with peace of mind knowing that Mochi was in loving and caring hands. ❤️ Jaylynn was always responsive to my messages, kept me updated throughout the week, and regularly sent me pictures of Mochi, which made me feel so much more comfortable being away from her. I could tell that she was taking good care of her and making sure she was safe, comfortable, and well fed. Thank you so much, Jaylynn, for taking such good care of my baby! 🐱❤️ I truly appreciate everything you did for Mochi, and I would definitely trust you to take care of her again in the future. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Sally-Ann was an amazing caretaker for our dog Wallace. She was able to accommodate him on short notice and tend to a specific medical need that he had. She was extremely responsive and gave text and photo updates constantly. You can tell she really cares about the animals and goes out of her way to make sure they have a good time - she took our little guy to a beautiful park by the water.”

“Tabitha and her family took care of our dog Penny for over a week and it was a fantastic experience. She was very communicative / accommodating, would send us daily pictures and videos, and we felt very comfortable with her. You could tell they enjoyed taking care of dogs and treating them as their own. Penny seemed very happy with her stay. We would definitely use them again!”

Omar did an amazing job watching our dog Sophie! He sent updates with pictures multiple times per day and thoughtful notes to let us know how she was doing. I often feel anxious about how she will do while we are away, but Omar’s updates put me at ease! Would recommend and use again 100%!

Natalie was absolutely wonderful! She was able to dog sit Duke on very short notice, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was reliable, caring and attentive. She kept me updated and made sure my dog was happy, comfortable, and well taken care of. Will recommend to anyone:)

Yachen and Jarin are honestly the best dog sitters I’ve ever left my Milo with. I was provided with detailed updates every 3-4 hours with pictures. Yachen and Jarin were extremely considerate and loving to my boy. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. 10/10 recommend

William was great with our big puppy Diesel. During Diesel’s one week boarding William made sure to keep us updated and at ease with videos and messages. As a trainer, William also gave us feedback on the areas Diesel could use improvement in his training. We would definitely recommend William as a sitter for your four legged children.

Wilbur seemed happy during his visit with Nikki. Easy arrangement and communication with Nikki - would’ve loved more photos and updates each day - but just happy to see Wilbur was in good shape after the 6 days :) Their dog Scout was super happy to play with Wilbur so it was good companionship at Nikki’s house.

Rhonda & her husband were gracious hosts to our dog for a couple of days. She was very communicative, checking in; getting clarification when necessary & sending great photos. My favorite was the one where she took her on a walk near the water - photo shows our dog with Rhonda, sitting on a bench with her head up - tongue out and laughing. Highly recommend!

Christine was amazing! She communicates well and timely, sent photos while we were away and kept us up-to-date even regarding our Lucy’s rough first night. She’s lovely, caring, accommodating, and flexible. Strongly recommend and would rebook again without hesitation.

Jasmine is a fantastic dog-sitter! She’s super responsive and communicative, and takes such good care of our dog, Daisy, that Daisy gets excited when she realizes she’s going on a “vacation”. I would highly recommend Jasmine to any pet parents looking for a responsible and caring sitter for their pet.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Wykagyl home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Wykagyl.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Wykagyl sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
