A powerful wind storm came through the area while we were away, and Brian did an outstanding job of prepping for a possible power outage— which did not end up happening. He also did a great job of communicating with us about any possible house or tree damage— which luckily also did not happen. What we appreciated most about Brian was his calm, warm, caring, and very-capable demeanor. We feel very blessed to have gotten to know him, and we plan to have him watch over our home and pets for years to come.”

About: I grew up in farm and ranch country caring for horses, cows, goats, cats and lots of dogs, so animal care has been part of my everyday life for as long as I can remember. Dogs are my favorite. I'm experienced with big, high-energy breeds like Bernese Mountain Dogs and German Shepherds, and I'm just as comfortable with small dogs. I have three of my own: Willie (a Dachshund), Shelby (an Australian Shepherd) and Reba (a Cavapoo). I love the outdoors, so your dog gets real exercise, like morning hikes at Nockamixon, Ralph Stover and the Delaware Canal towpath. You'll get photo and video updates every day. My work schedule varies week to week, but I always plan pet care around it. Your dog gets a long morning walk or hike before I leave, and my mom is often home during the day for potty breaks and company. Evenings are for walks, play and couch time with the pack. I usually have a couple of full days off each week to spend with the dogs, and I’m happy to work around your schedule for drop-offs and pickups. When boarding, your dog stays in my home on just over two acres in quiet, rural Ottsville. The property isn’t fenced, so guest dogs are always on leash or a long line outside, with plenty of room to sniff and explore safely. My three dogs are friendly and social, and every stay starts with a meet-and-greet so I can make sure everyone gets along. For house sitting and drop-ins, I keep your pet’s feeding, walking and medication routine exactly the same and treat your home with respect. Every dog gets its own cozy space to rest, and I can crate if your dog is crate-trained.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and Guinea pigs for the past 9 years. Makes sure my neighbors dog when out of town is fed, walked, bathed, and clothed. Currently working part time in social media management, so I’m home with more than enough time to cater towards fur babies! I’m available Monday through Saturday of every week. About: While I've had dogs for 8+ years, I have learned the importance of training and instructing animals. In the past, I have trained dogs to understand commands such as sit, stand, lie down, paw, and many more. Not only have I focused on training, but I also recognize the importance of exerting energy in which I can play fetch with dogs or even run with them. While I am in classes, I will have plenty of time throughout the days and most nights to watch, walk, and care for your animal. When it comes to hours or even a few minutes, there is always a way to work taking care of your pet into my schedule. The middle of the days are usually harder for me since I am in class, but other than that, I have pretty much open availability. In my own personal home, It would be hard for me to house an animal considering my roommates have both a dog and a cat. I wouldn't want any animal to be reactive so I would have to visit rather than bring to my home. I am more than willing to travel to a destination to care for your animal. I am also able to walk your animal in any area deemed fit and safe for both the animal and myself.

About: Dogs are family, and that is how I treat every visit. I have spent 12 years caring for my family dog and now my own, along with regular walks, drop-ins, and overnight care for the pets of neighbors, friends, and family. I am comfortable with dogs of every size. Millie, the Bernese Mountain Dog in my photos, is my boyfriend's dog and lives at his house, but I walk and care for her often. At over 100 pounds, so I can handle larger dogs who may pull on walls. I am experienced with administering oral medications, managing leash-reactive dogs on walks, and handling standard crate and feeding routines. I keep detailed notes on each pet's needs and quirks, and I always have your vet's information on hand in case of an emergency. You will never have to wonder how your dog is doing, because I am happy to send updates throughout a visit. I am available for early morning visits and again toward the end of the workday and into the evening, which suits pet parents who need care before or after their own workday. Midday visits may be possible with advance notice. I have some weekend availability as well; just message me and we will coordinate. Safety Your pet's safety comes first. Dogs stay leashed and harnessed any time we are outside, including in shared hallways, elevators, and lobbies, since neighbors and other dogs can appear around a corner without warning. I check the weather before every walk and adjust: short routes and shaded paths in the heat, and less time outside in the cold. Before the first visit, I make sure your vet's information, any medications, and other specifics are written down or saved in the Rover app for easy reference. We can go over detailed instructions at the meet and greet or by message beforehand. If anything seems wrong, you will hear from me immediately. Trust I work full time in HR, so confidentiality and the careful handling of sensitive information are things I take seriously. I treat your keys, door codes, and home with that same standard of care. Keys are never labeled with an address or unit number, and they are stored securely in my home when not in use. You will receive photos and an update with every visit. I never bring anyone along, and I never share photos of your pet publicly without asking first. If my plans change, you will hear about it early rather than at the last minute. Environment In your home, I stick to the areas you tell me to use and leave everything as I found it, including lights, doors, and the thermostat. I also pick up after your pet and tidy anything we have used before I leave.
