Robert is an absolute lifesaver! He made my girls and me feel so relaxed and comfortable for our first time having a dog sitter. He kept us updated every day, and even though my girls have some anxiety issues, he handled everything so smoothly. Thanks again Rob and Rover!!!

Katie was an excellent dog sitter for our dog. She made contact with us every day to let us know how he was doing. She also sent several pictures of him throughout her stay. She always asked questions for anything that she was not sure of. We would definitely recommend her and use her in the future.

Wendy was absolutely fabulous with both Leda & Zenzi - the care she gave my 2 girls was outstanding - she treated them like they were her own dogs. Wendy updated me daily a few times a day with photos & videos & text messages of Leda & Zenzi. I can't wait to have Wendy back - the dogs were relaxed and content when we came home from vacation. I was relaxed as well knowing that they were in good hands!

About: I have 3 older extra large dogs, 1 young medium dog, and 1 senior small dog. I’ve also had cats in my family. I’m used to caring for different sizes, ages, and energy levels, from slow walks with seniors to keeping up with younger, more active dogs. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, and just making sure pets feel safe and cared for while their owners are away. I work part time from 12–3 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, but my schedule is flexible and can change. Outside of those hours, I’m available mornings, evenings, and weekends, which gives me plenty of time to give pets consistent care, walks, feeding, and attention. I’m able to adjust my availability when needed. At my home, I have a large fenced yard where my dogs can safely play and spend time outside. I walk, feed, and play with them daily, and make sure they stay on a consistent routine. I’m very attentive to their needs and always make time for exercise, enrichment, and care throughout the day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their usual routine as closely as possible. I make sure they are fed on time, have fresh water, get walks and playtime if needed, and feel comfortable and safe in their environment. I’m patient, reliable, and always treat every pet like my own.

About: I’ve been a huge animal lover and taken care of animals since I was about 14 years old. I have fed, walked, and spend time playing with dogs and cats of all ages. I’m very comfortable around dogs with different personalities and energy levels, and I always make sure they feel safe, cared for, and happy while their owners are away. I treat every pet like they’re my own and make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care. I work from 7am to 5 pm monday-thursday every week, but I’m available most evenings and have open availability from Friday through Sunday. This allows me to spend quality time walking, playing with, and caring for pets. I have a fenced yard with plenty of space indoors and outdoors for animals to roam freely. I treat every pet like my own by providing a safe, calm environment and making sure they feel comfortable, well cared for, and loved while their owner is away.

About: Growing up in a big dog- and cat-loving home, my affinity for animals was realized at an early age. I’ve been the go-to person amongst family and friends for pet care since I was a kid. I’ve dabbled in this passion on the side my whole life, but am now pursuing it full tilt and hope to build a career in conservational zoology. In 2020, pet care grew outside of my inner circle of friends and family, and I gained clientele I still work for to this day. While in Hawaii from August 2024 to February 2026, I dog-sat for five families on top of my day job, regularly tending to their pets every week (and some every day). This included walks and meals, house calls, trips to the beach, hikes, daily visits to the local dog parks, bathing and brushing, extended stays at my home while owners traveled, and coordinating play dates with other pet-sitters. I’ve handled animals of all sizes and temperaments, administered medication, and adhered to the specific needs of the families in my care. My focus is on the comfort, stimulation, and enrichment of your pet! I am reliable and flexible, and find genuine joy in this line of work. This is how I would prefer to spend my time! My Pets: My 120lb Saint Bernard/Bernese, Hobie, was my dutiful companion in pet care, living up to his “nanny dog” personality. In July 2025, he sadly passed at the young age of 2 due to congenital kidney failure, but his short life was full to the brim of adventures with furry friends! He was equally as loving as he was loved. My world completely revolved around him while I had him. Thistle and Pants are my two cats. Thistle is a 7 year old domestic long hair, and I’ve had her since she was 6 months old. She has very much been a partner in my pet care as well, having grown up with big dogs and preferring their company over other cats. She gives off that annoyed older sister vibe, but always wants to be near the other animals and people. Pants is a 5 month old Maine Coon kitten, and he makes himself right at home in any space he occupies. He’s adventurous and outspoken, and keeps Thistle moving (and slightly irritated) throughout the day. He’s proving to be too clever for his own good! I will be adding a new dog to the family in several months, and will undergo training with a focus on companionship and socialization. I can’t wait to have another partner in pet care! Letters of Recommendation are available upon request. Thank you so much for reading, I hope to work with you soon! Rachel I’m currently available all day Tuesday through Saturday! I’m an early riser, accustomed to starting my days around 5am. I’m quick to respond and very flexible. I will adhere to YOUR preferred form of care. I love going on drives, walks, and hikes and have a roomy CR-V perfect for transporting furry friends! I like arranging play dates with social pets, or spending one-on-one time for those that prefer to be solo. My apartment in Dublin has a spacious yard with a tall fence and tree shade, and I’m happy to take your pet to their known stomping grounds or on new adventures. I live about ten minutes away from Peace Valley Park, and twenty minutes from Nockamixon State Park. I will tend to a routine that is best for your pet, whether it involve a lot of free roaming and outdoor time, or adhering to crate-training preferences. I’m an advocate for leisurely “sniff walks”, and will ensure your pet gets the stimulation they need. This isn’t a turn-and-burn rush job for me, I’m here to provide what is most enriching for your pet.

About: I’ve taken care of a wide variety of pets. From small to medium to large dogs and cats to rats, hamsters, rabbits and guinea pigs to non-venomous snakes and lizards, I’ve been able to take parts in a number of fluff balls and scaly critters lives. I have experience in training young pups, litter training small mammals, and habituating reptiles. I like to be active, giving your pet all the attention they need. I do work a full time job that takes me away from the house from 7-3:30. I fit in a breakfast and a walk before leaving in the morning. From June 22-August 17, I work mon-thurs. the rest of the year is mon-fri I will walk your dog a minimum of 2 times a day, as well as play with them (provided there is a yard/space). I can continue training routines and generally spend much of my day giving attention to your pet. About: As a lifelong animal lover and pet owner, I understand that pets are family. I have hands on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels, including daily walks, feeding, playtime, administering basic medications, and providing plenty of love and attention. I have owned a Golden Retriever, yorkie, two Great Danes, and a pitbull. I am comfortable with everything from energetic exercise sessions to gentle care for smaller breeds. I pride myself on being reliable, responsible, and attentive to each pet's unique needs. Whether your dog needs a long walk, a quick potty break, or companionship while you're away, I will treat them with the same care and affection I give my own pets. My goal is to ensure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved while giving owners peace of mind. I do work Monday through Friday from 9-1 which is about 15 minutes away from my house, but my hours are very flexible to where I can be home during the day. I have a fenced in yard, I have a pool if your dog is a water lover, lots of treats, I used to have many dogs but as of now I only have a yorkie in the house along with my two younger siblings who grew up with dogs and love dogs and my two parents.

Neda watched our cats for a week and took great care of them. Our resident cat is a happy to meet new people and Neda spent time cuddling and playing with her. Our foster cat is very, very timid and Neda messaged a few times to ask about her habits and if her hiding all the time is normal. Neda was easy to communicate with, quick to respond to questions I had and was nice enough to bring in packages that were delivered during her stay. We will definitely use her sitting services again!

FAQs for House Sitting - Holicong

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Holicong on Rover is $51.11 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 5,648 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Holicong. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Holicong walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Holicong maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Holicong choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Holicong. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
