“Robert is an absolute lifesaver! He made my girls and me feel so relaxed and comfortable for our first time having a dog sitter. He kept us updated every day, and even though my girls have some anxiety issues, he handled everything so smoothly. Thanks again Rob and Rover!!!”
“Katie was an excellent dog sitter for our dog. She made contact with us every day to let us know how he was doing. She also sent several pictures of him throughout her stay. She always asked questions for anything that she was not sure of. We would definitely recommend her and use her in the future.”

“Angelica is amazing! Our two pups and lizards where taken care of very well. I highly recommend Angelica, she sent me lots of updates and pictures of babies. She also left the house clean and tidy. thank you so much for everything.”

“Wendy was just fantastic! We have been looking for a long time to find someone we love and trust to be with our precious Obi. From the start Wendy went above and beyond to care for our dog and communicate to make sure we felt we felt secure. From her meet and greet where she took great care to understand the little nuances of our dog, to her comprehensive welcome package, her communication and beautiful photos! We can not recommend her enough.”

“Rachel was wonderful with Daisy! She was very sweet, clearly cared about her, and made us feel comfortable while we were away. I especially appreciated the daily updates — it gave real peace of mind knowing Daisy was happy and well cared for. Would definitely book again!”

“Emma was awesome! Our dog is really anxious and people-selective but Emma had him completely at ease. She gave frequent updates and took great care of the house too! Would definitely use her services again!”

About: Growing up in a big dog- and cat-loving home, my affinity for animals was realized at an early age. I’ve been the go-to person amongst family and friends for pet care since I was a kid. I’ve dabbled in this passion on the side my whole life, but am now pursuing it full tilt and hope to build a career in conservational zoology. In 2020, pet care grew outside of my inner circle of friends and family, and I gained clientele I still work for to this day. While in Hawaii from August 2024 to February 2026, I dog-sat for five families on top of my day job, regularly tending to their pets every week (and some every day). This included walks and meals, house calls, trips to the beach, hikes, daily visits to the local dog parks, bathing and brushing, extended stays at my home while owners traveled, and coordinating play dates with other pet-sitters. I’ve handled animals of all sizes and temperaments, administered medication, and adhered to the specific needs of the families in my care. My focus is on the comfort, stimulation, and enrichment of your pet! I am reliable and flexible, and find genuine joy in this line of work. This is how I would prefer to spend my time! My Pets: My 120lb Saint Bernard/Bernese, Hobie, was my dutiful companion in pet care, living up to his “nanny dog” personality. In July 2025, he sadly passed at the young age of 2 due to congenital kidney failure, but his short life was full to the brim of adventures with furry friends! He was equally as loving as he was loved. My world completely revolved around him while I had him. Thistle and Pants are my two cats. Thistle is a 7 year old domestic long hair, and I’ve had her since she was 6 months old. She has very much been a partner in my pet care as well, having grown up with big dogs and preferring their company over other cats. She gives off that annoyed older sister vibe, but always wants to be near the other animals and people. Pants is a 5 month old Maine Coon kitten, and he makes himself right at home in any space he occupies. He’s adventurous and outspoken, and keeps Thistle moving (and slightly irritated) throughout the day. He’s proving to be too clever for his own good! I will be adding a new dog to the family in several months, and will undergo training with a focus on companionship and socialization. I can’t wait to have another partner in pet care! Letters of Recommendation are available upon request. Thank you so much for reading, I hope to work with you soon! Rachel I’m currently available all day Tuesday through Saturday! I’m an early riser, accustomed to starting my days around 5am. I’m quick to respond and very flexible. I will adhere to YOUR preferred form of care. I love going on drives, walks, and hikes and have a roomy CR-V perfect for transporting furry friends! I like arranging play dates with social pets, or spending one-on-one time for those that prefer to be solo. My apartment in Dublin has a spacious yard with a tall fence and tree shade, and I’m happy to take your pet to their known stomping grounds or on new adventures. I live about ten minutes away from Peace Valley Park, and twenty minutes from Nockamixon State Park. I will tend to a routine that is best for your pet, whether it involve a lot of free roaming and outdoor time, or adhering to crate-training preferences. I’m an advocate for leisurely “sniff walks”, and will ensure your pet gets the stimulation they need. This isn’t a turn-and-burn rush job for me, I’m here to provide what is most enriching for your pet.
“Talia was the best pet sitter we've had in 12 years. She spent tons of time with the animals and they really liked her. Both our 15 month old German Shepherd Dog and Siamese cat usually warm up to strangers very slowly, but they sure seemed to love her right away! Lots of pics and communication from Talia kept the worry down too. Book Talia as first choice if you can!”
About: I have 3 older extra large dogs, 1 young medium dog, and 1 senior small dog. I’ve also had cats in my family. I’m used to caring for different sizes, ages, and energy levels, from slow walks with seniors to keeping up with younger, more active dogs. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, and just making sure pets feel safe and cared for while their owners are away. I work part time from 12–3 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, but my schedule is flexible and can change. Outside of those hours, I’m available mornings, evenings, and weekends, which gives me plenty of time to give pets consistent care, walks, feeding, and attention. I’m able to adjust my availability when needed. At my home, I have a large fenced yard where my dogs can safely play and spend time outside. I walk, feed, and play with them daily, and make sure they stay on a consistent routine. I’m very attentive to their needs and always make time for exercise, enrichment, and care throughout the day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their usual routine as closely as possible. I make sure they are fed on time, have fresh water, get walks and playtime if needed, and feel comfortable and safe in their environment. I’m patient, reliable, and always treat every pet like my own.

“I would highly recommend Val to anyone! This was my first time using Rover and I admit to being a little nervous at first. But as soon as I met Val, I knew that our 3 dogs and older cat would be in excellent hands. While away I received video and photos and text updates. Even our cat, who is normally shy around new people, was Val’s best friend within no time! I would gladly call on Val again in the future.”

I have open availability, including week days, weekends, day hours, and night hours. My schedule just depends on personal events/commitments. “Off to a great start with Marie! Responsive and communicative during the whole meet up process and sent reassuring updates complete with cute photos of our 2 little dudes from her first overnight. Handled all the instructions like a pro, including some last minute updates on treating a new little boo boo. Happy to have found her and already rebooked her. 😊”

“Chloe is amazing. Couldn’t have been better with my dog, Pearl, who can be sensitive and somewhat difficult. Chloe was very understanding of our particular needs. Chloe stayed in regular communication with me and sent pictures of Pearl every day. Chloe took great care of both my pet and my home— a total relief while I was away for the holidays.”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for years and love getting to know each pet’s unique personality. I’ve fostered 8 cats and 1 dog to date, helping them adjust to new environments and getting them ready for their forever home. I also have two cats of my own and two family cats, so I understand the care, attention, and patience they need. I’m also the go to pet sitter for my friends whenever they’re away. I’m also a certified sitter through Southeastern Guide Dogs, where I’ve cared for and trained puppies and service dogs in training. This has really shown me how to work with dogs of all ages, personalities, and energy levels. I know every pet is unique and I really take the time to understand their needs and personality. I want to make sure your pet is comfortable and cared for, giving you peace of mind and lots of pictures while you’re away! I recently graduated, so I currently have a very flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate my time to caring for pets. Between pet sitting and other flexible work, my routine revolves around the pets I’m caring for, not the other way around. This means I have plenty of availability for drop-in visits, walks, overnight stays, and can easily adapt to your pet’s normal routine! As of right now, I am only able to provide care in my client’s home so pets can stay where they’re most comfortable, but also to ensure that my own cats, who are nervous around other pets, remain comfortable. When caring for your pet, I treat both your home and your baby with the same respect and attention I do my own. I carefully following feeding schedule, medication instructions, walking routines, and any other care preferences you provide. I understand that every pet has different needs, and I take the time to learn their personality, comfort level, and routine so they feel safe while you’re away. Safety really is my number one priority. I’ll make sure doors, gates, windows, and any other areas are secure. I’ll be sure to keep your pet in approved areas, look out for any changes in behavior or health, and send lots and lots of pictures and videos!
“Rebecca is the best! She knew we were worried about leaving our dog and sent pictures the entire time we were away. She genuinely cares about the pets she watches over. Duke was calm, happy and well cared for, even with a thunderstorm and a power outage. Would definitely recommend Rebecca to anyone needing a pet sitter.”

FAQs for House Sitting - Solebury
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 5,490 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Solebury. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Solebury walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Solebury maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Solebury choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Solebury. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
