“We went away for a date night and had Wendy come over to refresh her bond with Liam and Colby. It looks like they had a good time together from the pictures she sent. We are very comfortable with Wendy staying at our house overnight. She always makes sure things are just right!”

About: First things first I charge per visit per dog. I have worked at a doggy daycare where I look after dogs, clean up after them as well as bath them. I have been taking care of animals since I was 8 and dogs specifically for 10 years. I currently have 6 dogs that I care for. I have also cared for reptiles, rabbits, and cats. I walk my dogs (yes all 6 of them) daily and I find that I have extra time on my hands that I would love to help others with their pet needs, I do twice daily feedings, bi weekly washings and teeth brushing. I do use corrective action when needed such as squirt bottles with water ( some dogs like it and acts as a nice reward or distraction). I will clap or use a stern voice for corrections if necessary or basic commands like sit, stay, down to refocus their energy into something beneficial. For reward pets and treats of course if allowed, extended walks and or play times. I’ve also cared for injured dogs when necessary and dogs with medical issues that need medication.
“Robert was very attentive to our dog. He took him on walks and spent a lot of time hanging out with him. He kept us updated throughout our trip and sent lots of pictures. We were very happy with him. I would highly recommend him and will use him again!”

“Alyssa was wonderful with my Sascha. It was my first time leaving her with a sitter, and Alyssa made Sascha and me feel very comfortable leaving her with Alyssa. Alyssa kept me updated and sent pictures to reassure me Sascha was doing just fine. I highly recommend this young lady to sit with your beloved pet. You can trust that she will take good care of them.”

“Emma is the best! I have such peace of mind when she’s taking care of my boys while I’m away. She follows all of their care instructions carefully, and gives them lots of love. Thank you so much, Emma!”

“Angelica is amazing! Our two pups and lizards where taken care of very well. I highly recommend Angelica, she sent me lots of updates and pictures of babies. She also left the house clean and tidy. thank you so much for everything.”

“Danielle was amazing! Our energetic dog was so well cared for and tired during our weekend trip away. Danielle kept in great contact with us and helped take care of our house too. Danielle went above and beyond!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 8 years old, and I grew up around larger breeds, such as pitbulls. I also have experience with dogs who are aggressive towards other dogs. Taking care of pets is a daily routine and it should always be on a consistent schedule. I always make sure to feed and walk my pets before and after going to work. I also make sure to give them adequate attention and play time. I always make sure to keep pets from getting into things that may harm them or make them sick, and I like to give dogs at least 15-20 of walking time to get their energy out.
“Alexa did an outstanding job sitting my pets in my home. She sent daily updates that included pictures and videos. I felt at ease knowing my pets and home were in capable and trusted hands.”

“Annabel was great throughout our whole experience - very communicative, respectful of our home, took amazing care of our dogs, and sent pictures each day so we knew they were happy! We are already planning to use her again and would definitely recommend her to others looking for a reliable pet sitter.”

About: I have grown up with dogs all my childhood and have fostered 15 dogs through Wet Nose rescue aswell. I have taken care of dog as young as puppys (8 weeks) - Elders (15 yrs) and sizing from 15lbs- 230lbs (I have an English Mastiff). I have three dogs at home right now plus a current foster and love spending my time with them as often as I can! I am currently as Bucks County Community College and have classes from 9:25am-12:05pm Monday-Thursday. Any time after that I am fully available and of course weekends as well. I love walking and being active with dogs and am very comfortable with any needed care. “Gianna stayed at our place for 2 nights while we got married- our apartment was left in great condition and we she left us feeling comfortable about Stevie, we didn't worry about a thing! She did a great job with our quirky dog and we'd love to book with her again!”

“We were worried our dog Lucky wouldn’t adjust to anyone new, but Natalie was amazing! She played so well with our tiny Yorkshire Terrier, and he loved her - didn’t even miss us! Highly recommend her pet-sitting services!”

“Brian is an exceptional human being with tremendous integrity. We went away for two weeks and left him in charge of our home, our acreage, and our lively young cat. He was simply amazing in every way you wish a house sitter or a pet sitter could be. The phrase “above and beyond” came to our minds over and over while we were on our vacation. Our cat bonded with him deeply. In fact, she walked around the house crying for him in the evenings when we first returned home. She couldn’t figure out where her play buddy went. Brian was a fantastic communicator – – sharing all the ordinary goings-on‘s with the house and our cat, including cute photos and video clips. But he also really stepped up when a harder moment came. A powerful wind storm came through the area while we were away, and Brian did an outstanding job of prepping for a possible power outage— which did not end up happening. He also did a great job of communicating with us about any possible house or tree damage— which luckily also did not happen. What we appreciated most about Brian was his calm, warm, caring, and very-capable demeanor. We feel very blessed to have gotten to know him, and we plan to have him watch over our home and pets for years to come.”

“It was such a relief having Hailey watch our dog while we were away. She took such good care of him, especially considering caring for his allergies can be a bit of a daunting task. Not only was he well cared for but he was definitely given a lot of love by her while we were away. Which also means the world to us. We would recommend her to anyone!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wrightstown
Emily did an amazing job watching our dog Ella while we were out of town! She was very responsive, provided frequent updates, and sent lots of photos. Our dog is a bit shy, but she very clearly warmed up to Emily quickly. It was such a relief knowing our dog was so well cared for while we were gone. The house was left spotless as well. We would highly recommend Emily to anyone!

Natalie did a great job taking care of our dog Luna! She was kind, caring and patient when Luna was a little timid. She was great at communicating and kept us updated on Luna the whole time we were gone. She stayed in our home and kept it nice and clean, the way she found it! I would definitely reccomend Natalie.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 5,408 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wrightstown. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wrightstown walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wrightstown maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wrightstown choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wrightstown. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
