About: My own dogs are always the #1 teacher. They show me how to best care for them - with food, play, training, medications, travel, sleepless days and nights when they've been ill, and giving them all them comfort I can. I've volunteered at dog shelters, spent hours walking dogs in all kinds of weather, and offered comfort to friends who've had to say goodbye to their best fur friends. I currently work from home and have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your pets plenty of attention - playing, feeding, and scratching behind the ears. I take my dog for swims in the river, off leash romps in the woods, and leashed walks around town. We also play fetch and tug-of-war in the house or on the deck. If your dog needs a playmate, my dog, Jackson, may be a good fit. My cats - depending on their mood - like to lounge in the sun, pounce on the occasional toy, run up stairs, and hunt for treats I've hidden for them.

About: I have been taking care of the family dogs since I was 8. We had a sharpie, two shelties, and a yellow lab. Love learning the different breeds temperents. I work from home, I an artist so my schedule is flexible. Plus when not playing with them I can keep an eye on them from my studio. 1.5 acres in a prime location with a creek which is a lot of fun to explore. We are also on a quiet road with no yellow line. Many dog beds and toys or bring your own.

About: I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.

About: Hi I am Christina, I will care for your pet as if it is my own. I decided to make it my career, I am a certified dog obedience trainer. I got my certificate from Animal Behavior College. I did volunteer work with service dogs and dogs working at Rikers Island. I do drop ins, over nights, dog walking and teach simple commands as well. I even offer leash training and weekly visits! Short notice is also fine with me, I know how hectic life can get. Your pet will be safe and happy with me. I have a pitbull mix and a meatball of a cat :) of my own. My dog weighs 65lbs. so big dogs do not intimidate me. I have had cats all my life, so caring for all their quirks comes second nature. My pets are my babies and I care for my clients pets as if they are my own. Caring for animals is a passion of mine and I hope to share my experience with you! Besides my clients that are drop ins during the week. I like to maintain my clients schedule that they have with their pets. When I am caring for pets my animals are taken care of by my mother :) I have a fenced in yard and my dog also gets tethered while in the back yard. I do whatever my clients require. Whether that leash walking, fenced in yard, crating.
