“Stevie absolutely LOVES staying with Robyn. We also greatly appreciate her communication while Stevie is with her. It is evident Stevie is treated like family when she stays! Thank you Robyn!!!”

“Edgar was awesome!! Day was right at home as soon as he got there. He loved having a friend to play with during his stay. We received great updates with pics. Perk for me is he’s right around the corner. I’ll absolutely be using him again.”

“The fact that Courtney is a vet was one of the reasons I reached out to see if she was able to watch Sunny for a weekend while I was out of town due to how anxious she can get. Let me tell you, she did not disappoint. During the meet and greet, she asked about emergency vet info and offered her office as an option for urgent but non-emergency situations since I don’t have a primary emergency vet. She was aware of Sunny’s needs while she was there. Courtney also kept great communication and sent lots of videos and pics during her stay. I would 10/10 recommend her and will definitely be booking services with her again when the time comes!”

“Mark and Kayleigh were amazing, start to finish, while watching our sweet pup. They both clearly know and love dogs, their house and yard and wonderful and safe for pets. They were attentive to the dog, responsive to us while we were on our trip, and operate with respect and professionalism you’d hope for when letting someone watch over a part of your family. Can’t recommend them enough! Our Shiloh will absolutely be staying with them again on our next trip.”

“Jill and Thomas took amazing care of our boy Boo while we were on vacation. They we communicative and we loved seeing the little videos and photos they shared. They are our new go-to sitters!”

“Totiyana provided such a loving experience for our fur baby, Emmie. She is not used to being around other dogs especially big dogs but Totiyana help her get comfy and before you knew it Emmie was settled. We appreciate Totiyana’s flexibility and being able to take our last minute request! Such a blessing! We appreciate her care so much we booked two weekends in a row! Looking forward for future bookings for boarding our needs.”

“Kelli and her husband took great care of my dog, Blizzard, who had a wonderful time playing with her dogs. Kelli was very caring and easy to work with. I highly recommend Kelli, and Blizzard would happily return for another getaway.”

“Olivia was so great with your fur babies! She was so easy to work with and super accommodating. I loved the picture updates she sent to us while we were gone! Our pups were so exhausted when they got home! Which tells me they had so much fun playing! We will definitely use Olivia again!”

“Enrica and her family were absolutely wonderful! We were a bit anxious about leaving our guy somewhere new over the holidays, but we couldn’t be more pleased. Enrica was extremely responsive to messages, sent regular updates and photos, and took great care of Gimli. When our return flight was delayed, she was very understanding about a late pick up. Thank you, Enrica!”

“Lynda was great she took wonderful care of Sophie during her stay. She kept me well informed with pics and texts during my vacay. I will definitely rebook with her for my next vacation.”

“I was very happy with Mac's stay with Laurel. I had shared with her that Mac loves going on walks and she took him for two long walks. She shared with me how he was doing over the course of the day. I would use Laurel again without hesitation.”

“Birol recently watched my dog Tiger while I was away for a week and I truly couldn't be happier with the experience! I had a trip already scheduled and Tiger unexpectedly had to have surgery two weeks before I was scheduled to leave. I was so nervous about having someone new watch him, but Birol went above and beyond to put me at ease and take the best care of my dog as he recovered. He followed all instructions and routines as requested and showered my dog with so much love. My dog typically has separation anxiety, but he ended up having the time of his life while staying with Birol. I received so many photos and updates, and felt completely at ease knowing Tiger was in such good hands. I highly recommend Birol for anyone needing a reliable and caring pet sitter! He will truly treat them as his own!”

“We have left Cooper with Andres several times now, and he has been very pleasant and accommodating from the first interaction. He sends picture updates throughout the stay, and is always sure to provide a "debrief" of the stay when we pick him up. Its very comforting knowing that if there is even the smallest thing, slightly out of the ordinary, Andres will pick up on it, and keep us informed. Cooper always seems to have a great time; whether it be running around with Lumpkin or any other dogs being boarded at the same time. We have been nothing short of pleased, and will continue taking Cooper to Andres. If you're looking for peace-of-mind boarding, look no further. Andres is top notch.”

About: I work in a veterinary hospital as a kennel technician, where I care for animals daily by feeding, cleaning, exercising, monitoring behavior, and ensuring their comfort and safety under professional supervision. I’m currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm available for boarding on weekends, and weekdays after 12. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed, bring your own if you have a big dog if not the case I have small ones.

About: I haven’t taken care of dogs professionally but I have always had a deep love for dogs. I have owned an American Bully and English Bulldog on my own and have had multiple family dogs growing up. Having my own dogs, I have gone through the process of training two different types of temperaments and am looking forward to engaging/learning about more! I currently work from home as an accountant M-F. I have the flexibility to leave and return as needed. I could take my laptop if I needed to be around for an extended amount of time. Otherwise, I have the ability to use my flexibility to be present. I have an open living room setup and an English bulldog of my own to keep them company as well. We go on multiple walks a day and I make sure to try and exert the energy of whatever dog I am with at the time (so they don’t have much time to miss their parents 😂). I have room to crate the dogs if needed and also a pet camera that helps with monitoring.
About: While we currently do not have any pets in house‚ we previously had a cat for many years. We have tons of dogs amongst our extended family who we have cared for the last few years. I work fulltime so my family and I would love to care for your pet over the weekends and holidays! My husband and two daughters guarantee your pet will have as much fun as you will while you are away! We have a fenced in yard but will also love to walk your dog if that is what they are used to. In our extended family we have small and large dogs and dogs from young to seniors so we are ready to care for your pet at any age.

Latoya was amazing!!! Our previous dog sitter retired and we’ve been looking for someone to help us watch our dog for some time. We needed someone that I can feel at peace with watching my dog. She was amazing. Grateful that we found Latoya and her family to help us care for our Maxwell while we are away. 🙏🏽❤️

Laura was great. She took wonderful care of our sometimes difficult pup and he loved being there with her and her pup Eugene. We’re going away for 10 nights soon and Laura is our first choice of sitters. We definitely recommend her to anyone needing a caring, supportive sitter in their home!

Veruchka was nice enough to do a last minute booking. When I picked Cardi up she was very happy. I could tell she must of been playing a lot. Also got a lot of pics of Cardi. She has an adorable 3 year old that Cardi seemed to really have fun with. Will definitely be booking with her again.

Blue had an amazing time! Was taken care of and well loved. Multiple walks and playtime were amazing for him! He was definitely tired after he got back which was so awesome. Nicole made sure to take care of him in an extremely professional manner. Would definitely recommend Nicole and be using her in the future

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Woodshade home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Woodshade.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Woodshade sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in DE ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
