“Hannah was very responsive and helped us out on short notice the same day of our request. She kept us well informed and was kind enough to clean up our puppy’s pee when he first met her. He was quite pleased with her and we will definitely request her services again.”

“Jess is a very dedicated pet sitter! She made diligent notes and sent pictures of each visit during our 10 day absence. (Drop in visits 2x daily). She made “friends” with our big cat who is afraid of everyone. A big plus. She made special accommodations and arrangements for our pets, when having an emergency issue of her own. This was our first time using Rover and we are very pleased and hope to book with Jess again!”

About: Hi my name is Fran. I’m a stay at home Mom in Mt. Airy with a 2 year old and 5 year old and infant. We live on 5 acres, all fenced, across from the state park and in addition to 2 dogs have horses, chickens, and barn cats. Both me and my husband have owned dogs all our lives, as well as worked in animal care. Professionally, i have experience as a barn manager, dog groomer, dog walker, trainer, and dog handler. I boarded dogs while attending college in Richmond, and took a break to focus on my career. Now that I have more free time I’d like to start up again as I absolutely love it!!!! I care greatly about dogs and make sure that they are well taken care of with plenty of love and exercise. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover all of my life. As a little kid my childhood dog was my constant companion and when I wasn't with him I was with the neighbors' dogs. In my twenties I moved to Alaska where I pursued a career in dog mushing and for two years lived with 120 dogs! Unfortunately due to frostbite I had to move back to the east coast. Meet my pets I have 2 dogs, Cash an Australian Shephard and Littles a mutt. Both love to play!! Cash is a puppy and will play all day long!! He loves every dog he meets. Littles is 14 and recently lost his sight, he’ll try and keep up with Cash but mostly he just loves to sleep. I also have 2 horses, Shadow and Dandy in their late twenties, too many chickens, and a barn cat. About my yard I live on five acres across from Patuxent State Park. We have a huge fenced in backyard, with lots of trails in walking distance! My experience administering medication Yes I have no problem administering medication. I’m currently a stay at home mom and almost always home so your dog will never be left alone for long periods of time!! My 5 year old is great with dogs and will give your animals plenty of love and attention!!! We have a large fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run! Your dog will be let out frequently and get plenty of exercise!! I try and take the dogs for a long walk at least once a day. Your dog will have free roam of the house, but we are more than happy to crate if you provide one. Our dogs eat in the am and pm, however we can accommodate your dogs feeding schedule.

About: With experience caring for cats, dogs, birds, and aquatic animals, I’m glad to provide care to the pets who complete your family! I’m located in Sykesville, MD, but able to travel in central Maryland to meet your needs. I am available most week days, and with a few days notice, I’m glad to provide care on weekends to fit your pet care needs. Safety is a priority, along with care and engagement. While caring for pets, I look out for their safety by keeping a watchful eye on them, and always ensuring they are in a safe environment.

About: I’ve cared for my dog(s) at home for the past 13 years: walking, feeding, bathing and playing with them on a regular basis. I have also volunteered at a cat and dog shelter for the past 6 years, caring for rescued animals. I am available for pet care most weekdays and some weekends! I’ll always make sure to spend as much time as you request with your dog/cat. I am sure to provide one-on-one attention with your pet(s), accommodating to their routines and your preferences. Whether your pet is more or less active, I look forward to caring for them and meeting them at their level!

About: Cats have been part of my life since I can remember. I have raised many many kittens and sadly I just lost my cat of 19 years. That special love you share with your cat is precious. I have connected with cats (not my own) who follow me to and from school. One of my cats would go for a short walk in the woods unleashed. I find them mystical, independent, funny, playful and great company. I love caring for them from the shyest to the fiercest we find a way to get along. Currently I am not working full time but part time. However, I will start full-time soon so I can only help out on weekends or holidays. I don't mind a last minute call for help with your cat or dog. I live in a house with an electric fence so any dog who comes gets trained and/or I just take them out on a leash. It is important to keep the fur babies safe at all times. I don't crate, unless someone specifically wants me to do so. Depending on the dog or cat they can move around most anywhere in my house. Cats can be on the couch and chairs but usually not the dogs. It depends. We have dog beds.

Frances D.Star Sitter
“I asked Fran to babysit my puppy Misha while I went out of town for a week(she's six but she's a puppy to me). She impressed me when she first arrived and immediately had a rapport with my babbies . She had her in her lap in minutes curled up in doggy heaven getting petted. I have never seen her take so quickly to a stranger. I swear by the end of the week you would have thought that she had known her for years. She is the best dog sitter I have ever had. She was respectful and polite and I will definitely hire her again in the future. Also my babbies didn't pick up any bad habits while she was sitting. I've had sitters in the past that Misha would tug on her leash after they sat her, and she also started begging after this one sitter. After Fran took care of Misha she was perfect with the leash and was just as well behaved as normal. She just seemed happy and energetic at the end of the week.”

Nadia L.

“Nadia came and let our dogs out for us when we had to work late one day. Great communication and no issues with our pups.”

Amber G.
“Amber is a responsible and caring pet sitter. She watched my senior cat, Sugar, while me and my partner were away on vacation. She provided excellent care and frequent updates so we had no worries during our trip. She was also able to provide specialized care to Sugar, who was recently diagnosed with cancer and requires extra attention and medication. I would recommend Amber to anyone who needs a loving pet caregiver.”

Natalie K.

“Natalie watched our dogs while we were on a 2 week trip. She kept us updated and 3x daily photos of our pups. So glad she could take care of them 🐶”

Julia K.
“Julia has spent years volunteering at a cat rescue and thus has experience with caring for cats of all ages. She loves animals and animals love her too.”

Danielle B.

“Danielle was excellent! On time every day, would recommend her to anyone looking for a friendly professional pet sitter!”
