“Alex was amazing! Their home was proficiently accommodating for multiple pet introductions/interactions. Stella (my lab) felt at ease and enjoyed her night out with them and their pets. I will rebook if my travels lead me back to Lubbock! Thanks Melissa and Alex!”

About: I have been fond of dogs since I was 3 years old. I have some good experiences when it comes to pet care. I have two dogs. I have taken care of my cousins dogs many times. I don’t mind working with your pet if they need some special care I work from home and my schedules are pretty flexible. I will have plenty of time to play with your fur babies and take them on a walk too. I am home all days a week. It’s just me my boyfriend and my two dogs. We let out dogs on furnitures, your pets can lounge and get comfortable anywhere they want to. We have a small fenced backyard. I can give them potty breaks as much as they need. Let me know about any food/treat preferences, allergies, or any additional information you feel is necessary. I can’t wait to treat your dogs as my own. I can pick up your babies if you have a busy schedule . Just $10 more for both pick up and drop off.
“I absolutely loved my experience. Not only was the communication constant, open but I also enjoyed the many pictures updates that I got of my baby the entire time. It was so nice knowing thaty girl was safe and spoiled the whole time! thank you so much.10/10 definitely would recommend”

“Amy did a wonderful job of taking care of my pup Lola. Photos were sent to me each day about Lolas activities and her having fun with the other dogs being taken care of. I would and will recommend Amy to other dog owners looking to find someone to care care of their furbabies. Excellent care.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was little. From training puppies, to grooming, to senior dogs who may need gentle care. I look forward to meeting your babies! I work full time, but it is a banking job so it’s very flexible. I can check on your animals every morning occasionally during my lunch, and also after work. I’m off by 4. I am off every weekend as well so I have plenty of time to make sure your babies are well taken care of. In my home currently I have a puppy of my own. I have crate, plenty of toys to share, the best of quality food, extra water and food bowls. There is a lot of grass and a lake with sidewalk to take your puppy on walks. My puppy also does well with other dogs but can be separated if needed. I am very respectful of owners homes, as I would expect in return. I am providing a service and would not only want your animal to feel comfortable but you as well. I’ve sat for many family members, so I would treat my clients even better.
“Jillian is the BEST cat-sitter we’ve ever had. My cats love her, she sends me updates daily (sometimes multiple times a day, it can never be too much), and she takes care of them so well. The first time I used Jillian’s services, my girl cat was prescribed a big capsule that other sitters struggled with giving her, and one sitter wouldn’t even try to give it to her. Jillian did so well with giving her the big capsule, and she was able to give her the smaller pill she was prescribed later too. Jillian is very friendly and easy to communicate with and reach when needed. She’s also very flexible with drop off and pick up times. I used her services twice but wish I had found her earlier so she could’ve cat sat more. I highly recommend her! She will take great care of your pets.”

“Nadia took such good care of our girl Bella! She kept up updated on her daily routine, sent photos and made sure Bellzy had lots of treats. We did not worry once about our girl. She was in good hands and we will use Nadia in the future! 😊”

“This was my second time asking Paul to board Jadie, and my experience was as great as the first time. He shared videos and pictures throughout the day, and Jadie was always having a good time. When I picked her up she was happy and relaxed and I could tell she was well taken care of. I can’t recommend Paul enough !”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wolfforth
Sarah was so kind and helpful to us; helping us navigate our first stay for our beloved sheep doodle. She was very responsive to our questions and sent us photos of him at various times. She played with him, walked him and patiently aided him in navigating his strange surroundings. We plan to use her again and recommend that you do too.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
