“We had a great experience! Our dog was so well taken care of and got lots of playtime and attention while we were away. Jace also did an amazing job taking care of our chickens, which we really appreciated. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing all of our animals were in such good hands. We came home to happy pets and would definitely book with Kacee again. Highly recommend her :)”

“Laura did a most excellent job and my pets loved her. They were treated wonderfully and so was my house, left very clean and bedding & towels washed & replaced. My cat and two dogs were so content even before I arrived home from my trip. Laura also took lots of great photos. Thank you Laura!”

“Annabella did an awesome job housesitting while I was away. She kept Phoebe engaged, sent pictures daily and even printed copies of photos for me. Upon my arrival home, Phoebe was happy and well taken care of. Thanks so much Annabella, definitely appreciate your help.”

“Beth did an exceptional job. She took great care of my dog and was very communicative. Put me at ease immediately. I will definitely be a repeat customer.”

About: Hi there! I’m Allison, and I can’t wait to meet your furry family members. I have loved and cared for my own dogs and cats for more than 25 years. Currently, my house is kept lively by my three amazing pups: a Beagle, a Golden Retriever, and a Labrador. Having raised everything from high-energy hunting breeds to gentle giants, I know exactly what it takes to keep a household happy and harmonious. My philosophy is simple: I treat your pets, in your home, exactly like they are my own. Whether your dog needs a structured routine and a good game of fetch, or your cat prefers quiet companionship and perfectly timed chin scratches, I tailor my care to their unique personalities. I am comfortable with oral medications, special diets, and multiple pets. I will make sure your pet gets the love and attention it deserves while you are away. I offer dedicated overnight stays at your home so their routine goes uninterrupted. I can provide morning and evening feedings, fresh water refills, multiple walks/yard play sessions, plenty of couch cuddles, and daily text and photo updates. I’ll also keep your home secure and tidy, bring in the mail, and water plants. I can also do drop in visits to provide morning/evening food, fresh water, let-outs/quick walks, playtime, and a clean litter box or backyard scoop. Animals thrive on consistency. I adhere strictly to your established schedules for feedings, bathroom breaks, and medication administration to minimize any separation anxiety. You will never have to wonder how your pets are doing. I provide daily updates complete with photos and notes on their mood, eating habits, and bathroom routines. If anything seems out of the ordinary, I will communicate with you immediately.
“Maddison watched our dog and cat for the second time. Each time we were gone about 10 days and she was, again, amazing. We got daily updates with pictures, and I will ask her to watch our babies anytime we are leaving town. She also noticed my basil plant needed water and took care of it and made sure the house was in the same condition when she left as when she arrived. She is amazing!”

“Katie always does an amazing job taking care of our furbabies! She took such great care of them while we spent time with our family from out of state. She does an excellent job communicating and sending updates! Highly recommended !”

“We had the best experience with Mackenzie pesitting Pickles for a week. Mackenzie took such good care of our dog and our home, she went above and beyond! We even came home to flowers, washed linens and a kind note. She took Pickles on walks, outings, and even provided her with a new toy that she loves. When our flight was delayed and we thought we would not make it home on the scheduled day, she even offered to stay another day until we returned. I can’t say enough about Mackenzie and we will definitely be using her again for any of our pet sitting needs. Amazing experience!”

“Ronald (Jay) was a total blessing to me and my family. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats and we were on vacation for 7 days He is excellent with all animals and they love him. Our trip was worry free. He took care of the house and it was cleaner when we returned than when we left. Daily pictures with notes/ stories to go with. He is excellent and we will call on him every time in the future. We highly recommend Ron (Jay) to everyone.”

“David did an exceptional job watching our very large crew of dogs, cats and critters for a week…including a very active 5 month old puppy which is no easy feat! He sent updates regularly and even cleaned before he left. Would recommend him over and over!”

“Emma was fantastic! She watched my parent’s pups for them last minute when their original dog sitter had a death in the family. She is very sweet and kind and has a lovely personality. The dogs loved her. Would definitely recommend Emma to anyone and will book with her again.”

“Scott was an incredible dog sitter! We have two dogs — one elderly and one very high energy — plus a cat, and he handled all of them so well. He sent lots of great photos and updates throughout our trip, which gave us so much peace of mind. When we got home, the house looked fantastic, and it was clear our pets had been very well cared for. Beyond that, Scott is just a genuinely great person. We were so happy with him and will definitely use him again!”

“Gail stayed with our 2 poodles while we were away. She kept us well informed of their daily activities. I couldn’t be more pleased with how she made us feel at ease as our sitter.”

“We were VERY pleased with Roxie and look forward to booking her again for our dog. Roxie arrived when we asked, provided us with regular updates and pictures, gave medication as prescribed and left our home looking great. She even slept on the sofa one of the nites to help calm our dog during a late-nite storm. Over & above! We highly recommend Roxie & know our dog will be happy to see her the next time.”

“Jennifer took good care of my pup and my place while I was away. She was easy to work with, and showed up according to schedule. Provided updates regularly. She knows dogs well and was knowledgeable about short muzzle breeds and various general issues they can sometimes have. Would re-book! Thanks Jennifer!”

“Sheyna was fantastic in every way! She was very communicative with us from start to finish, and took the best care of our 3 dogs. We will definitely be using her again!l in the future! Highly recommend!”

“Nicole was great with Josie while I was gone! She was extremely communicative and kept me informed the entire time I was gone. Josie loved spending time with her! I would recommend her services!!”

“Krystal was a superb caretaker for our dog Jinny! Our dog warmed up to her right away and Krystal gave us peace of mind throughout the day by sending photos. We hope that she will be available for the next time we need someone to take care of our dog:)”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wittmann walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wittmann maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wittmann choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wittmann. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
