About: In addition to petsitting for 10+ years, I have been a proud dog parent for more than 5 years. Due to unforeseen circumstances within a breakup, I no longer have dogs, and miss them desperately. I would love to care for your dogs as if they are my own! I work remotely and have a flexible schedule. I'm very active, and I'd happily take your pups on walks and hikes with me if they're into that kind of thing. I will care for your dogs as if they were my own. I love to play, cuddle, and meet their needs - whatever those might be. About: Hello! My name is Wren and I'm a college student with a summer internship in DC. I have been fostering dogs and puppies since I was 5 years old. I also have multiple years of pet-sitting experience (both dogs and cats), and I had two dogs and a cat growing up that I was partially responsible for until I graduated from high school. I am an active individual and I love to go on walks and runs. Currently I am available during the day on Fridays and at night the rest of the week. I will have more availability in May because I will not have started my next internship so I will be free every day. In June I am available before and after my 9-5 job and a longer-term pet-sitting option would be my preference. I do not currently have a place to offer for boarding, but I can assure you that I will comply with all house and Rover rules, as well as respect your pet/space and keep it clean.

About: My family fostered dogs from 2nd grade to my junior year of high school, and I was very involved in the training and care of said fosters. When fostering, we often had 2-3 of our own dogs in the household that I also helped take care of. We helped a large variety of dogs find new homes, from puppies to seniors, from sweethearts to hair-triggers. Every single dog that came to our home left healthier, happier, and much better trained. I’m currently working part-time with a very flexible schedule. During the week I’ll often be at work sometime between 2:30-5:30pm, and I will have occasional obligations on Wednesdays. Other than that, I work event security. These events are normally later at night, and I am not required to take any shifts offered. If I am pet/housesitting for you and a security shift conflicts with it somehow, I will be happy to drop the shift (or not take it in the first place, depending on the timing). I am well versed in what dogs can and cannot eat. I find it quite easy to tell when they need to go potty, but err on the side of caution anyways with frequent potty breaks. I will not be overzealous with treats or food, following whatever instructions are provided to me.

About: I have been pet sitting and walking dogs for over 12 years in addition to caring for my family’s dog most of my life. I have volunteered at humane societies caring for both cats and dogs and love nothing more than spending time with animals. In my professional life I have also conducted wildlife research involving bats, wolves and bison, so I am knowledgeable about animal behavior and outdoor safety. I am responsible, organized and passionate about caring for pets. I love to walk every day and bringing a dog friend with me makes the experience even better. I have experience with large and small dogs of all ages. I am mindful that not all dogs get along and take precautions to keep the dog I’m walking and other dogs safe and happy on their walk. I pet sit elderly animals and am able to accommodate special needs such as special feeding routines, letting dogs outside frequently and giving medication to animals. Making sure the pets I am responsible for are comfortable and safe is my top priority. I’m currently a grad student in plant biology at UVM. My availability depends on my class schedule but I am available for afternoon and evening walks, check-ins and house sitting most weekdays days and weekends. I am hoping to dog walk and sit to save up for my tuition and living expenses. I love going on daily walks and bringing a dog with me makes it all the better. As I mentioned, making sure the pets I am responsible for are comfortable and safe is my top priority. I value communication with pet owners and ensure that they are updated and informed about what is going on. While pet sitting I make sure to set aside sufficient time to walk and play with dogs, feed them at their regular time and let them outside when necessary. I will take animals’ regular routines into consideration and give food, water, change litter boxes and provide play time as necessary.

About: I've been watching cats/dogs since I was in elementary school. Very patient and caring to every animal I've had the privilege to meet. Big or small I love them all! I work next to my apartment building so I'll be able to check on your pet often during the day. I love walking and giving dogs/cats all the love they can handle! There's a little park in front of our apartment (literally named "Little Park") and a back yard that is partially fenced in. Our apartment is spacious enough for any dog/cat (we even have an open guest room). Completely open to visiting pets at their home for care/walks.

About: I grew up with two dogs and currently am the owner of a cat. I have always loved animals of all kinds and have had two years of experience doing drop in visits for cats. Part time student, I am open for drop in visits or dog walking on most days when I do not have to go to classes. About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was about 11 years old. I started by taking care of neighbors dogs and cats and soon got my own dog, Mario (seen in my profile picture). I trained Mario through a puppy class. Mario is now 14 and I have experience with his senior dog care needs like medical attention and needs around deaf/blindness. Since I started caring for animals I have also cared for birds, cats, and chickens. I now have a 9 year old rescue American Bull named Makai. I love playing, cuddling, and giving love to every animal I care for. I work as a teacher. I am done working around 3:30 and can be available for walks/play promptly after work. I work in the New North End of Burlington and live in the East End of Burlington. I am very active and can happily take animals on long/high energy walks/runs if needed. I am also happy to spend requested amounts of time to socialize with your pet. I can crate animals if needed. If your dog is being walked I will ensure the leash is properly fastened. If your request is that your dog does not socialize on walks with other animals, I will ensure they do not. I am respectful of your wishes in your care for your animals and am happy to help!

About: My first job was working at a doggy daycare because my mom never let us have pets growing up. She eventually changed her mind and we've owned dogs for the past 5 years, but that initial love for animals has never left me. I've had everything from easy mutts and goldendoodles, to stubborn schnauzers. My motto for size preference has always been "the bigger, the better" because it's more to love, but working at the day care has given me the experience of handling a variety of sizes / breeds / temperaments. I'm currently a student at the University of Vermont, so I'm looking for something to fill in my time after class and on the weekends! Having owned dogs myself, safety is extremely important to me.
