“Aaron was a great fit for our dog - Miso loved spending the week with him. It took a few days for Miso to adjust to his first ever sitter and Aaron handled it well - checking in with us when he noticed that Miso wasn't eating and seemed a little home sick. By the end of the week, Miso seemed to be having a great time. Aaron sent pictures and updates throughout the week, which was really appreciated. We would highly recommend Aaron. He was open to meeting with us before we left on vacation and asked great questions (vet info, local contacts, likes and dislikes, etc). We usually leave Miso at a boarder, but since our trip was going to be longer than usual we were hoping to find someone local that could give Miso more personal attention and affection - Aaron made us feel comfortable leaving Miso with him for an extended period of time. Thanks for taking such good care of Miso for us, Aaron!”

“Nicholas was a great caretaker for our 9 year old dog. He has a great backyard which our dog loved and a warm family environment. Nicholas was very flexible with us as our plans changed and he is extremely easy to work with. Would highly recommend and we are going to rebook.”

“My dog and I were immediately comfortable with Michele. She went above and beyond to exercise Wilson and keep him entertained. I got multiple updates and he looks so happy. We recently lost our other best dog friend of 14 years it's such a relief to have a compassionate competent caretaker to help keep my Wilson 3 years old feeling attended to and not alone.”

“Brooke was great! Sent us texts and pics of Cosette and assured us Cosette was doing well! Difficult to find a pet sitter that you feel very comfortable with and know that your beloved pet is in good hands! We did!!!”

“Rosan took such great care of our two dogs, and they were very happy and relaxed when we picked them up. Rosan was so flexible about our drop off and pick up times, and sent us lots of photos and updates over the weekend. I can’t recommend Rosan and his family strongly enough! 🐾🐾”

“Ruchi took such wonderful care of Fred and gave us lots of updates. He really enjoyed her lovely fenced in yard! Can’t wait to book with her again! We can’t recommend her enough!”

“Our dog, Lyra, had a great time with Dillon and his two dogs. We got frequent updates and Lyra always seemed happy and safe. This was one of the most professional experiences I’ve had on Rover. We'll definitely book again.”

“Savannah was amazing!! She took care of my baby so well and was honestly just a genuine and kind person. You can tell she really loves animals and that’s what matters so much. My first time doing this with my cat and she made me feel so much better about leaving her. I highly recommend her to anyone, and especially if you are anxious about leaving your baby!”

“Louis and Haley took amazing care of my aging pup. They were super caring and went above and beyond to make sure my dog felt calm and relaxed during her stay. Thank you!”

“John was amazing! Rover sitter extraordinaire. His place is perfect for active dogs and Walden got tons of ball throwing and activity time. John’s communication was great — clear info and support for pickup/drop off and fun pics throughout the stay. Thanks and we will be back in a future Burlington trip!”

“Jyotidipta and his family took exceptional care of Luna. From the start, they were warm, flexible, and incredibly accommodating. Luna can be a bit anxious when meeting someone new, but they handled it with patience and care, making sure she felt safe and at ease within just a few hours. Their home environment is attentive and engaging. Jyotidipta’s son played a big role in keeping Luna active and happy, with plenty of playtime, exercise, and walks throughout the day. I especially appreciated the regular updates. The photos and videos gave me full peace of mind and showed just how much attention and affection she was receiving. It’s clear Luna was not just looked after, but genuinely cared for. I would confidently recommend Jyotidipta to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful caregiver.”

“Elfy had a wonderful stay with Natalie Patrick and their daughter. They are very welcoming and attentive. Good communication with photos. Their dog is very friendly.”

“Highly recommend! Laura was so accommodating with our crazy schedule, and her property is a dog’s paradise. Our pup loved romping around all weekend and was thoroughly tuckered out from his stay. Laura sent us pics to keep us updated and responded promptly to all messages. I’m sure our dog would be ecstatic to return to her place. Thank you!”
About: I've had pets my entire life. For over 40 years, I've raised puppies and kitties into well-behaved, loved members of my family. I have some experience giving medicine and training. I work from home 4 days of the work week and even on the day that I’m away, pets are never left alone for more than 5-6 hours a day, which is rare at that. I walk our dog daily and there is plenty of time to go out and play in a fenced yard multiples times during the day. As mentioned above, we lets our dogs get plenty of fresh air and exercise and they are rarely alone for long stretches at a time. If I'm taking care of a pet in their own home, those pets can get walks and regular visits based on their needs.

“Charlene took wonderful care of my 5 month old puppy while we were gone for a long weekend. She was happy to do the extra work a puppy sometimes requires, like giving her eye drops and softening her food with some pumpkin (that I provided). Our pup was safe and happy, and loved spending the weekend with Charlene and her dogs.”

“Ella could not have been a better choice for our cat. She had a few health problems before we left on vacation and Ella stepped up to the plate managing things we didn’t anticipate. Excellent communicator twice a day. Thoughtful and caring. I wouldn’t hesitate to call upon her again. Much thanks Ella. Also thanks from Miss B.”

“Elizabeth was awesome! She took great care of our three cats while we went away for a week at Christmas. She spent time playing with them and gave them plenty of attention. We appreciated her detailed write ups and photos.”

“Charlotte did a great job checking in on my cat Ash over a weekend. She provided frequent updates and communication was easy. Would definitely recommend her and will keep her in mind for the future!”

About: I’ve had cats my whole life. Our house is large and visiting cats have the indoor space entirely to themselves, so your cat will never be bothered. I am home full-time to follow your exact instructions and keep your cat safe, comfortable, and stress-free.

“Ashley was amazing with my cat Tilly once again! I was gone for over week which makes me miss Tilly so much, but I was super comfortable and at ease knowing she was in Ashley’s care. Ashley was very communicative, asking questions about Tilly’s intricacies and providing updates about her and the house. I really looked forward to the notes and pictures from each visit- great photos and they often made me laugh! Ashley is reliable, communicative, caring and thorough, and I 100% recommend!”

About: My name is Amelia and I am in college studying animal sciences. I have experience with dogs walking, cat and fish care, and would love to help you and your pets out in any way I can! I’m currently a full time student, so I can pop in and out mid morning and in between classes throughout the week. I will make sure the animal gets a good chunk of my time and attention and will make sure not to rush them. It’s important the animal is safe and stimulated while I am with them. If I am dropping in to feed or take care of your pet I will ensure a clean environment and that they are enriched until a caretaker returns. If I am taking your pet on a walk I will cater to the dogs temperament and endurance. The pet’s experience (and their bathroom/food needs) is optimized.
“Anna was thorough, attentive to detail, and communicative while watching our cat. He was in great hands—and seemed to know it! I can’t recommend Anna’s services highly enough.”

“Sage was a great sitter for my finicky kitty! She was extremely responsive when I first inquired about a booking and continued to be communicative while we were away. She also persisted even when my cat gave her a hard time about taking her nightly medication. We were extremely happy with Sage and would book her again!”

“Christine is awesome, and takes great care to adapt to the needs of the power she's caring for. This was my second time booking with her and would definitely do so again.”

About: Hey there! I’m Emily and I’m excited to meet you and your adorable pet! I’m a lifelong animal lover. I have a friendly and outgoing husky mix and grew up with cats and a bird. Ever since I was ten I would watch my friends and neighbors' animals when they went out of town. I would love to do some house visits or check-ins for your cat(s).

“Cara did a great job looking after our cat (drop-in)! She was attentive and kept us alerted of any issues and took extra steps to make sure he was OK during the heat wave.”

“Sarah was amazing!! She provided wonderful care for my 13-year-old dog, visiting four times a day to walk her, manage her picky eating, and administer daily medication. All while giving her lots of love and snuggles:) Sarah’s proactive updates, photos, and FaceTimes gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It was clear from the care she showed that my girl was in excellent hands. I highly recommend Sarah’s services to anyone looking for a caring, communicative, and reliable sitter! And I will definitely be rebooking with her in the future!”

About: I’ve had my own dogs all my life and have sat and walked pets professionally for around 2 years, so I am equipped with the skills necessary to keep pets safe and happy. I’ve had one-time clients or recurring clients — whatever the owner needs! I love pets and have always gotten along well when I meet a friend’s pet, hence my interest in expanding this passion. I am currently in medical school and my schedule is relatively flexible - I am able to walk your pets, drop in to make sure they’re okay, or stay with them all day! I generally have classes in the mornings and afternoons mostly off. I am available for walks or overnight stays depending on the pet parent’s request. I am happy to work with clients and figure out a schedule that works for them! I abide by all rules the owner set. I will inquire ahead of time of any special needs the pet has or certain routines from the owner. I am not there to intrude - just offer the same level of care and love as the dog would normally get! I also understand some pets may be anxious with a new person in the house, so I will do my best to ease into my position and offer a lot of comfort to the pets before trying to play with them or feed them.

About: I take care of my two cats. A very young 14 year old senior that needs the occasional sanitary furr trim and my old kitten, 2 years old. Apart from this I have taken care of multiple other cats for friends and family with great success.

“We absolutely love Eric! We've taken our pup, a 1-year-old German Shepherd, to him a few times and have it scheduled for her to be there once a week every week. She absolutely loves it, going for walks and playing with one or two other dogs all day while we're at work. We've always picked up a happy, tuckered, fulfilled dog at the end of the day, so what more can you ask for? Eric is also incredibly responsible and perceptive. He watches his dogs very carefully and will do anything to make sure everyone has the safest and most fun day possible. He takes the care and comfort of the dogs very seriously which gives us a lot of peace of mind while we are at work. We're truly so thrilled to have found Eric and can't wait to hear what amazing day our pup had every week! We cannot recommend Eric enough.”

About: I am an enthusiastic and passionate sitter who will provide great care for your pets! I love being around and interacting with all different types of animals. Over the years I’ve pet sit for many different types of animals including dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, bunnies, rats, chickens and even a chameleon :). I volunteer at the humane society every weekend where I provide care for small animals and cats as well as walk dogs. I have a puppy named Ellie who my boyfriend and I rescued. She's adorable but she has all that puppy energy. I can wait to care for your animals and I hope to establish a relationship and spend quality time with each pet I watch or walk. I am a Cellular molecular and biomedical science PhD student at UVM. Currently I am working from home writing my thesis so I have a lot of flexibility with scheduling. I will not be offering boarding but will be happy to stay with your pets at your house so they can stay in an environment they are comfortable in.

About: I have always had an affinity for animals! You can leave your pet with me assured that they are getting the love, care, and attention they need because it is a true passion of mine. Raising and handling dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, even a squirrel I have truly seen it all. My experience of caring for animals of all different sizes, personalities, temperaments, and obedience levels I learned great patience and deep understanding of body language to get them the care they need. When under my watch, your pets will receive the same amount of love and respect I have towards my own. Their health and safety comes first always; then we work on how to keep them as happy and content as possible when they’re missing their parents. I have a very open schedule as it is a priority to get your pet the care they need. From week to week I will be there for your pet! I have owned and cared for cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, and even a squirrel! This includes spending quality time, walking, feeding, watering, bathing, vet visits, etc. I will treat your pet with as much respect, care, and love as I do my own. In addition, I’ve worked on crate, entertaining, and obedience training. While I love my pets dearly there is a hard line when their behavior can be reckless and possibly dangerous, I keep a close eye to make sure they are safe, healthy, and happy.

About: Hi! I work from home and make my own schedule so I’m able and happy to be at your pups beck and call/woof?! My Husky-lab mix, Duke, which I had for 10 years changed my life. Besides the experience of caring for him, and his issues with arthritis, along with his stubborn Husky streak, I’ve also cared for many of my friend’s dogs in various capacities. I recently lost him which has now given me the motivation and time to pursue spending it with other’s dogs. That’s as simply as I can put it. I have the time to be with your dog when you can’t and promise you he will get the most personal and attentive care you could want. I love walking, hiking, a vigorous game of catch, a downtown stroll on Church Street, or doing whatever your dog wants to do - I have the time and the love to do it. So as of now there are no other dogs at home; your dog will literally be part of the family and have 24-hour company and supervision, except perhaps an hour or two for errands. I don’t have a yard but a small balcony, but I am a 5-minute walk from the green path, North Beach, Arm’s Forest, Ethan Allen Park, Leddy Park and I have a dog-safe vehicle to travel anywhere, if your pup likes a nice drive. I also have A/C for those hot summer months! They’re also allowed on the furniture and beds. I’ve had years of experience taking care of all of my friend’s dogs; walking and sitting … but always for love not for a fee, hence why there are no ‘paid’ reviews. Happy to answer any questions. I work from home and my schedule is completely flexible and will revolve around your pets; that’s it. I’m at home full time except for an hour or two to run errands. I have a 3-story townhouse with balcony. Your dog will have run of the house but if stairs are an issue, he can be contained to the main level, if necessary. I can gate the stairs. Your dog is allowed on beds and furniture and outside on balcony when I’m home. There are no other dogs here.
About: My family has had pets for years-first a bunny, now cats, and we fostered a dog a few years ago. I’ve spent the last few years house/pet sitting in my hometown, and I’m now bringing my skills to Burlington. I’ve cared for many animals before, from rambunctious puppies to a senior dog with arthritis in its final year of life. I love spending time outdoors and love my time even more when I get to share it with a furry friend! I’m a full time student at UVM with lots of free time I’d love to spend with your pet. I’m free all day Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and have occasional weekend availability. I’m also available for house sitting jobs! I try to care for pets exactly as their owner would. I like to meet the pet with the owner the first time, so they can meet me with a “trusted adult” as it helps build rapport with the animals. I meet them and their needs wherever they’re at: whether they’re excited and want to play or simply lay around all day, I’m happy to join in.
About: I've grown up with dogs and have experience helping to train them. Over the years, I've also pet-sat for numerous dogs and cats. In high school, I briefly worked at a veterinary clinic, which deepened my love and appreciation for animals. I truly enjoy caring for all kinds of animals! I currently work flexible hours, mostly in the afternoons and evenings, so I have plenty of time during the day to help with your pet care needs: whether it’s feeding, playing, walking, or just keeping them company. I’ll make sure to care for your pet just the way you want. I know everyone has their own preferences, so I’m happy to work with whatever specific needs or routines you have.
About: I’ve spent my whole life caring for my family’s, neighbors, and friends dogs, cats, and everything in between. I love being active outdoors and sharing that with fur babies makes it even better. I work 3 days 12 hour shifts at the hospital so I’m able to and would love to give your dog all of the time and care they need. I’m working at the hospital Sunday-Tuesday, 12 hour shifts, and I am available Wednesday through Saturday all day and am active and able to give your fur baby the time and care they need. I live in Burlington and within walking distance and short driving distance to the waterfront, dog parks, and walking trails and mountains. My apartment is kept neat and free of chewable things that shouldn’t be chewed on lol
About: I have worked at a doggy daycare for over a year now - learning and honing my skills on reading dogs body language and how to better support them in times of need. I’ve also taken care of family pets and have volunteered at various local shelters for the past 12 years. I love hiking, playing, cuddling and just spending time with furry friends. I also have a rescue puppy that accompanies me depending on the job - an added bonus for playtime and socialization :) At this point I am doing work from home and have a flexible schedule - given enough notice, i will be sure to fit you in my schedule! I care for your dogs as I would mine—plenty of walks, snuggles and love, and playtime both in and outside. I listen to what your specific dog enjoys to do :)

I’m heading into my junior year at the University of Vermont studying wildlife/fisheries biology and animal science. I’m living downtown but I have a car and am excited to give some love to your pets!! Im working part time and am very flexible when it comes to providing love to your furry friends! I’d be more than happy to do drop ins, overnights or daily/weekly dog walks! As always, it depends on the pets individual needs but Im a very active person who enjoys taking dogs for long walks and runs and accommodating their needs! I have a car so can travel to your dog and also drive them to fun new places (rail trails and hikes).

About: I love pets. Ever since I was little, playing with my pets and taking care of them gave me a sense of importance. Whether it’s walks, feedings, playtime, or just quiet companionship, I follow your pet’s schedule and preferences closely.I always take time to learn each animal’s needs, from medications to favorite toys or hiding spots. I can also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you can feel confident your pet is safe, happy, and loved while you're away.Your home is treated with the same respect and care I’d give my own—clean, secure, and just how you left it.
About: I’ve been dog sitting for 5 years but always had dogs growing up that I would help take care of. I treat every dog that I care for like my own and aim to provide them with love, play, and extra pets while their owner is away. I have experience caring for older dogs and dogs with anxiety. Also happy to care for puppies. I’m trained in behavioral psychology and use learning theory techniques to help motivate good pup behavior. I’m currently working full time but happy to go on dog walks or sit on weekends. For the right dog, I’m also happy to dog sit mid week. You are the expert on your dog and their needs. I will happily follow any directions you provide for their care to make sure they are happy and comfortable.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats all throughout my childhood and have taken care of a couple dogs full time over the years. I am experienced mostly with dogs but I am familiar with cat care. I work nights in the Burlington area so I can work around most schedules and prefer afternoon work for walking. If you need house visits I can work with you on a good schedule. I will follow your directions to a T and will transport animals as needed for walks/hikes. I will treat them as my own as I don’t have any pets and miss having animals around.

“Julie and her partner were absolutely amazing! They were communicative and attentive, took care of our dog like their own. They are great people who genuinely just want to make sure your pet is comfortable away from home! I can't recommend them enough!”
