About: I will provide a on-the-ready daycare/check-in service. Check in's will include play time engagement, spending time with them if they have been alone, walks, administer medicine if need be, and overall quality check in. I can provide these services at a moments notice with being local to Burlington, and can also provide these services over an extended period of time to suite your schedule. Daily check in's can last anywhere from 30 mins to one hour, depending on your needs. I work full time but my schedule is flexible. I have watched and cared for multiple family friends cats and dogs since my teens, as well as now helping colleagues watch their pets while traveling out of town. My experience ranges from the simple check in's; walks, playtime, feeding - to administering shots, ear spray, tic and flea medicine, etc. I currently work a hybrid schedule Mon-Thurs in office and half-day Fridays from home, moving back to full-day Friday's from home come fall. Even when in office, my schedule is flexible and I am out of work by 4pm, and can step out quick if need be throughout the day, making sudden pop-in visits easy for me. And making scheduled visits even easier. I live on a quieter street and my apartment is set back from the road, giving peace of mind when out on walks or in the yard. Crating is always an option if you are more comfortable and familiar with that.

“We had a sitter back out last minute with a trip we had booked for a couple of months. We have a young, anxious, high strung dog and we were worried about leaving him somewhere that’s too stimulating, like a kennel. We were traveling from Maine to Vermont so I decided to try Rover and see if somebody could watch him for us in the city we were staying in, so we could be available if there was a problem. Paul responded quickly and accepted Bjorn’s stay within five days of the trip. We kept Bjorn during the day but we dropped him off in the evenings. Paul was quick to respond in all communications about Bjorn, whether it be about drop off/pick up, care, questions about how he was doing. He even problem solved when Bjorn was too nervous to use the bathroom, and asked me for tips when he was struggling to eat. We also got pictures throughout his stay. He made me feel super comfortable leaving my nervous baby with him and didn’t make us feel like Bjorn was too much (which I know he is). We appreciated Paul’s care of Bjorn so much, it really took the stress off during our trip.”

About: I've had pets my entire life. For over 40 years, I've raised puppies and kitties into well-behaved, loved members of my family. I have some experience giving medicine and training. I work from home 4 days of the work week and even on the day that I’m away, pets are never left alone for more than 5-6 hours a day, which is rare at that. I walk our dog daily and there is plenty of time to go out and play in a fenced yard multiples times during the day. As mentioned above, we lets our dogs get plenty of fresh air and exercise and they are rarely alone for long stretches at a time. If I'm taking care of a pet in their own home, those pets can get walks and regular visits based on their needs.

About: I take care of my mom’s house, with two dogs and two cats, when she travels for work. Now I have started to do the same for my sister and friends. I work part time and create my own schedule. About: I grew up with my family’s various rescue cats and dogs, so I’ve always been an animal lover. Since childhood, I’ve also enjoyed pet sitting for friends, family members, and neighbors whenever I’ve had the opportunity to do so. I have experience looking after cats and dogs, as well as birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, horses, and a couple of different types of lizards. I have some experience with training my/my family’s cats and dogs, and lots of experience with giving love to animals of all kinds! I would fit pet sitting into my daily/ weekly routine but ensuring all animals are fed and have water. I will give them some play time. If walks are needed I will ensure I arrive earlier to give any dogs walks. I have two cats. Athena and Vixen Both girls are on a strict routine. They get fed wet food twice a day and dry food once. Their wet food includes multivitamins, probiotics and allergy medications. Both cats have separate diets that best suit their needs. I ensure all things for them are done before starting my day. e.i Litterboxes, water refills, medications, food and play time. Upon arriving home I greet them and play for about 30min-1hr.

About: Hi! I’m Logan. A little bit about me- I am a junior at UVM studying art education. I currently work at a preschool summer camp in Richmond, VT. I’ve owned dogs and cats for my whole life and since I was old enough I have been taking care of my family pets. I currently live with my own cat here in Vermont and my family has 2 dogs and 1 cat in my hometown. When I was living at home I would regularly walk, play, feed, bathe, and love my pets. Right now I only do that for my cat! I have administered pill oral medication to my cat and dog; and have administered syringe oral meds to my cat. I have cared for my senior dog who passed away at 13 from old age. I have 2 years of experience in caring for senior horses. I would care for them by feeding, administering medication, preparing for farrier visits, grooming, and mucking stalls. Due to them being senior horses they were not able to be regularly exercised. I have always had a deep appreciation for all animals yet this experience made my heart grow bigger for all different types of animals. Reach out if you would like me to help care for your pets! I am available before 8am and after 5pm on M/T/W/Th for drop in visits. I am only able to do walks after 5pm on those days. I am available all day on F/S/Su for drop ins and walks. I care for my own cat by providing her with at least 15 minutes of play time 3 times a day. I feed her breakfast and dinner at a scheduled window of time each day. I give her the medication she needs put into her food with dinner daily, as well as cleaning her litter daily. The most important thing for me when caring for your pet is following your instructions and boundaries! In addition to that I will take them on walks, have play time, and feed them!

To help do so for members of my community would be a great way to reconnect with the simple pleasures of quality pet time. I currently work full-time 4 days a week. The other three days of the week I have incredible flexibility. On the days that I do work, I can flexible in the mornings until 12, 12:30 latest. I will be unable to have pets at my own home due to landlord requests. But, I have ample experience walking dogs and ensuring they are properly supervised. I love going for walks so an active dog is right up my alley, however I have plenty of experience with less active dogs as well (my family had a 16 y.o. chocolate lab). I have cared for multiple pets while their owners were on vacation in-home, however, I also have experience caring for a cat for 3 weeks on a drop-in basis. I am responsible with keys, as I have sat for homes in both rural environments as well as in Boston, MA.

About: I will provide a on-the-ready daycare/check-in service. Check in's will include play time engagement, spending time with them if they have been alone, walks, administer medicine if need be, and overall quality check in. I can provide these services at a moments notice with being local to Burlington, and can also provide these services over an extended period of time to suite your schedule. Daily check in's can last anywhere from 30 mins to one hour, depending on your needs. I work full time but my schedule is flexible. I have watched and cared for multiple family friends cats and dogs since my teens, as well as now helping colleagues watch their pets while traveling out of town. My experience ranges from the simple check in's; walks, playtime, feeding - to administering shots, ear spray, tic and flea medicine, etc. I currently work a hybrid schedule Mon-Thurs in office and half-day Fridays from home, moving back to full-day Friday's from home come fall. Even when in office, my schedule is flexible and I am out of work by 4pm, and can step out quick if need be throughout the day, making sudden pop-in visits easy for me. And making scheduled visits even easier. I live on a quieter street and my apartment is set back from the road, giving peace of mind when out on walks or in the yard. Crating is always an option if you are more comfortable and familiar with that.

It took a few days for Miso to adjust to his first ever sitter and Aaron handled it well - checking in with us when he noticed that Miso wasn't eating and seemed a little home sick. By the end of the week, Miso seemed to be having a great time. Aaron sent pictures and updates throughout the week, which was really appreciated. We would highly recommend Aaron. He was open to meeting with us before we left on vacation and asked great questions (vet info, local contacts, likes and dislikes, etc). We usually leave Miso at a boarder, but since our trip was going to be longer than usual we were hoping to find someone local that could give Miso more personal attention and affection - Aaron made us feel comfortable leaving Miso with him for an extended period of time.
