“Rose went above and beyond for a drop in visit for my 2 very different dogs. Washing and refilling their water dishes, giving them a brush and some good outside time.”

“Nicolette was prompt and engaged with our baby Cash during their visit. My wife and I were pleased by her updates and the way she treated Cash. Will definitely use again.”

About: I've been caring for my personal cat since 2018, although I grew up with cats and a dog in the house and had close relationships with them. I have a Bachelor's in Animal Behavior from the University of New England (UNE). I worked at a doggy day care for a year and since the beginning of 2025 have been walking dogs and providing other pet care services for clients. Pet care is the focus of my weekly routine. I'm available from 10am-5pm Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and 10am-4pm Fridays, for walks, and can be available for check in visits or housesitting any time of the week. I go above and beyond to try to make sure your pet enjoys their time with me, while also following all rules and instructions you might leave me. I provide a summary of each visit as well as at least one photo, to make sure you know exactly what's going on with your pet.
“Sara is wonderful, her attention to detail, thoughtful communication is one of my favorite qualities. Tatertot was well taken care of on her drop in visits. We will rebook, when she has availability. Your pets are in good hands! I highly recommend”

“While taking care of our cat, Christina is nice enough to water our plants if she sees it needs it and will bring in packages left on the porch; above and beyond service...”

““Lyndsay was great! She was responsive, sent a ton of photos of our babies, and kept us updated throughout our trip. We don’t have the easiest five-animal household, but Lyndsay handled everything with ease. She also did a wonderful job administering medication to one of our 5-month-old kitten, which gave us extra peace of mind while we were away. We will definitely be booking with her again in the future and highly recommend her!””

“Cade went above and beyond what I had asked. They cleaned up after my cats when they made a mess and updated me after every visit on if my asthmatic cat had any incidents. Also both of my cats absolutely loved them. Even my rescue who is very terrified of new people entering the apartment. Will be requesting services again. Thank you!”
“Lisa was so loving and attentive with our cats! She was immediately in tune with each of their (very) different personalities and understood the needs of both. We had been anxious about ensuring one of our cats got his newly prescribed medication but Lisa eased our fears and made sure to give us a thorough recap each evening. We would highly recommend Lisa to care for your pets and will book with her again for future needs.”

“Lily continues to be the conscientious, reliable, and caring person we have known her to be since the beginning. She has cared for our cats for several-week periods a few times now - - they love her, watch for her arrival (we see them on Ring), and run excitedly when she comes in. She clearly is bonded with them. Lily has been a joy for us to have as a pet sitter - - she is warm, communicates quickly, we know our cats are happy, and we have peace of mind while we are away. I recommend her highly.”

“Zayn did an awesome job looking after our two cats! They were both well cared for, fed and played with. We got good feedback and pictures for all of the visits and always felt that we could reach out and get a quick response if needed. We would absolutely hire Zayn again!”

“We had never used Rover before but our cat sitter Chrissie was great! She took wonderful care of our two cats and was even able to give our elderly cat his pill each day. We are grateful to have found her!”

“Brianna did a great job taking care of my Boston terrier mix, Gunnar. He's a new dog to me although he's 7 years old, so I shared with her what I know about him, and they got along famously. She was very responsive and communicated well from the first contact, to setting up the meet and greet, to the day she came for two drop in visits while I was gone for a very long day. She took some very sweet photos of Gunnar and told me all about their activities, so I knew he was having as good a day as he could have, being alone except for her two visits. She gave him his treats and took him for walks, and it looks like they had a good time. He was happy when I got home and hadn't touched a thing in the house. I would highly recommend Brianna for your pet!”

“In record time, Marna won over our socially hesitant older dog, and took excellent care of him. From meeting one, he seemed to sense her calming presence and responded to her positively. Usually, he'll bark and hide from someone new. It was great to see! Thank you, Marna!”

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old as a pet sitter, but we got our own family dog as a toddler. Over the years, that experience has grown into a true passion, and I now have 2 dogs of my own. I’m used to all kinds of personalities, from high-energy dogs who love long walks and playtime to more relaxed companions who just want cuddles. I’m all about keeping tails wagging with lots of attention, exercise, and love. I work remotely full-time, which gives me the flexibility to provide attentive, consistent care throughout the day. Because I am not tied to an office, I’m able to let sit in your home and be present for walks, feedings, playtime, and companionship—keeping your pets routine as normal and stress-free as possible. When caring for pets in your home, my top priorities are safety, trust, and maintaining a calm, familiar environment. I follow your pets routine closely—from feeding schedules to walks and playtime—so the feel secure and comfortable while you’re away. I treat your home with the utmost respect and make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, affection, and supervision at all times.
“Katie has been fantastic in her drop-in visits with our mini wiener dogs. She responded quickly when our previous Rover friend let us know she was moving, and has been professional, friendly, and easy to communicate with since that time. Most importantly she goes out of her way to keep both of our dogs safe and happy, one who likes to cuddle and the other who is always looking for the next adventure.”

“Briana took excellent care of our diabetic cat! She really went above and beyond, playing with him and giving him affection, and is one of only 2 sitters who have successfully been able to administer insulin injections.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Windham
I was able to relax with peace of mind while Nicolette was at my house with my babies. She consistently updated me with pictures and videos and brought her son to help get some energy out with my crazy lab and I could see both of my dogs loved her and had the best time with her and her son.

Sara is without a doubt our fave cat lady! She goes above and beyond to give pets, snuggles, playtime and takes the best photos when we’re gone. She can handle any insane feeding and medicine requests and is super responsive while we’re away and even when we’re back! She has great insight due to previous medical training, even handling chemo meds and waste. We’re always super happy when she’s free and we need to get away! Thanks Sara!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
