“Sara did a great job taking care of our large puppies. She sent about 3 pictures a day which we really enjoyed and looked forward to. She also played outside with our dogs which they loveddd. I would definitely rebook with Sara.”

“Michelle was phenomenal with Duke and Leo . She definitely communicate at top tier. The thing I love she also welcomed me into home to see we’re the set up was. Her son also is a big help I watched him take care of them as well . I can’t ask for a better person to take care of the pups this is a good experience an also made me feel super comfortable then ever.”

“Matt and his family were absolutely amazing and took wonderful care of my Great Dane. I was very nervous leaving her with people I did not know, but Matt put me right at ease. As soon as I contacted him to inquire about service I had a response from him within a few minutes. I loved the fact that he had older children and dogs in the home to keep my dog company. He sent pictures and updates everyday, so I never wondered or worried about her. To top it off, his rates are very reasonable! Thank you, Matt.”

I have a set schedule in the morning from 5-6am letting dogs out to go potty and run in my fenced in backyard. Then feed them from 7-8am and feed again around 4-5pm. They do get snacks in between that time. I give my babies slamming skin treats and other treats for dogs only. “Kelly is so attentive and caring. It’s such a relief to be able to leave our pup with her and know that he’s being loved and cared for well. I don’t ever wonder whether he’s having a great time with Kelly and her dogs!”

“Sally was very patient with our young, active puppy. She sent constant updates and communicated frequently. She is an experienced dog owner and knows what to expect. This made us feel very comfortable, leaving our new puppy with her. Highly recommend!”

“Took a last minute booking after our scheduled boarder decided that our dog was too much. Our dog had no issues with her at all. She saved us from being in a bad position and handled our dog who doesn't like being without us without issue for five days.”

“Our pup absolutely loved being at Margaret's! Margaret took such good care of her and was very good with communication. We will definitely use Margaret again and recommend to others!”

About: I have always had a passion for animals. As an adolescent I volunteered at the local animal shelter, and as I became old enough I started caring for friends, and family friend’s pets. I provide all the love, care, and attention that your furry friend needs, and wants! All my work and time is dedicated towards pet sitting for the foreseeable future. My availability is WIDE open. I am mostly always by my phone so I am just a call or click away! I have one dog of my own, a 100 pound German Shepherd. I have a large fenced in back yard where he or any other dog can run freely. I have worked with 1 dog, to 7 dogs at a time.. whether that be letting them out directly into a yard or walking them. I am very attentive of their behavior and needs. I have experience with feeding, walking, giving medicine and just simply providing love!
“We found a jewel in Allison. She was loving to our dog Bailey and I didn’t worry one bit after I met Allison. She had her own dog for Bailey to play with and also a little boy that Bailey clearly loved! I had to go out of town for a drs appointment. It was so nice not to worry about Bailey while she was with Allison. I’ve definitely got a sitter now for Bailey when I have something to do. Thank you Rover and Allison!!”

“Great Experience!! Very caring and courteous! Would 100% recommend and use again for sure! My dog had a blast and came home tired!! I got picture updates every single day, this was a great experience! Thankyou!!”

“Morgan is amazing! This was our first time leaving our babies with anyone outside of family and Morgan made sure to help us feel comfortable by having a meet and greet with her pups and providing pics, videos and texts throughout their stay. She was super flexible with drop-off and pick-up times too. The pups had a wonderful time and came home happy. Highly recommend Morgan.”

“Excellent sitters! They made our first stay worry free with curtesy updates on our fur babies! Great set up! The puppies enjoyed playing in the fully fenced in backyard! I don’t think they wanted to leave!😂”

About: I have had dogs in my life since I was a baby and I truly dont think we dersve how pure and amazing they are. I used to dog sit during highschool for my neighbors and even now when friends go out of town I am always open to have their pup at the house or watch them at theirs. I have trained 3 dogs from 7 weeks old so I am able to help you out at any age pup you have. I will love on them like they are my own and I cant wait :) I have a very flexible schedule which allows me to work from home some days a week. I am never gone for more than 4 hours in a day but can always adjust my schedule if I am watching a dog that cant have me gone long. You tell me your needs and I will work around that. I have one friendly pup of my own named kona and a private fenced in dog park that is normally empty that I bring her to a couple times a day. I usually go on a couple walks a day so I can do as many or as few walks as your pups needs :)
“Francisco was awesome, communication was great and sent pictures! I had a good feeling about leaving my dogs with him! He obviously has a lot of knowledge of dogs and takes care of them! We appreciate him being able to watch them!”

“Thomas and Margaret were absolutely wonderful with our wild rescue and elderly lab. We were worried more about our wild man getting along but she took him right in and assured us he would be fine. Our old girl had an accident we were immediately notified and received updates in case she could have been declining. I know there was cleanup involved and our Zoey was clean as she could be when we picked her up. We received daily check-ins with pictures. Wonderful experience, will re-book!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wilson
Jeffrey was exceptional! He went above and beyond to make sure our pupp Peaches was as happy as ever. We often get nervous anytime we have to leave her, when we go out of state. Jeffrey made sure she got plenty of walks, outdoor time in the backyard, and sent us pictures everyday of playtime! Would 100 percent recommend him!! He also accommodated us last minute, which we are beyond thankful for!

Makayla was kind and from what I can tell our pet was taken care of. Some concerns I had were the amount of communication throughout the boarding process, but she did return my pet and items in good condition. I will also say that she did stay in a smoking environment at the time of my booking, so if this will bother your pet please consider your options.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
