Pet care experience

Wagging tails, happy hearts!

I love watching dogs while their owners are away. Why? Because they make me happy and bring joy to the day! I offer a CLEAN, non-smoking home with a quiet atmosphere for a peaceful experience. Dogs are walked on a leash between 3 large lots. They enjoy lots of sniffing and lots of exercise while on the leash. We live near a park, so sometimes, we'll walk the big dogs to the park with the owner's permission. Our house is huge. Since I work from home, your dog will see me (and hear me) all the time. I have a living room that is outdated and was never upgraded. I love this room because it reminds me of my grandmother's house. It's just peaceful and relaxing. I use this room to meet and greet new dogs, so I can get to know them and their personality. Once they adjust, they earn privilege's into the rest of the house, one room at a time. I do this, so that your dog doesn't get overwhelmed with lots of smells, sounds and the new territory. One room at a time is my strategy. Dogs normally sleep on the sofas in that living room. (Not in kennels, unless the owner request a kennel) Convenient location on Cardinal Drive in Wilson. I also have a large deck, where your dog(s) can hang out, under a canopy, for some R&R and Vitamin D. Note: Puppies are welcomed here. I'll do my best to help with house training and leash training. Or, whatever you do at home, I'll do here. My day starts with walking your dog between 6-7am. Then, we enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck and play fetch. Every morning, I am able to spend approx. one hour of personal one-one-one time with your pet. Then, it's off to the home office, I go! Your pet will enjoy quick belly rubs, pats on the head for confirmations, a few fetches and sometimes they can lay under my desk for foot touches. I try to stay on schedule with potty breaks (and walks), but I'm always here to take them potty if they let me know. Preferred potty schedule for an adult dogs is: 6-7am, 10am, 2pm, 6pm, 9pm. LOL, though. Most of the time, the dogs love to go outside, so I listen to their command. Puppies go outside every 2-3 hours. Doggie Daycare is 'up to 10 hours.' After 10 hours, it's $2.50 per hour.

Gail was exceptional! This was the first time we had ever used Rover for Scooter and it was a wonderful experience! Gail was very responsive and gave us upsets and pictures every day. Would highly recommend using Gail and we will certainly use her again!!!

Gail is a professional and highly qualified She spent an inordinate amount of effort to try to understand my “baby” ( dog. She was very accommodating to help me out. I’m so appreciative of her working with me.

Gail kept our dogs for four days while we were out of town. Everything went quite well and she was in frequent communication providing both pictures and videos. Could not have been more pleased. It is nice to now have a go to place for the dogs when we travel. Highly recommend.

Mrs Gail did great with our senior dog. She updated often and showed him the love he needed. Would definitely book her again to look after our senior pup.

Gail was amazing with my little Shih-Tzu who hasn’t really been away from me for more than a day. I needed care for 4 days and felt at ease with Gail watching her. She sent me regular updates and photos, and made sure she stayed safe and happy. She even offered to cook her something special when she wasn’t eating the first day. I’ll definitely be returning with Vivian when I need care in the future. Thank you Gail!

I stay at home. A typical day for your pet would be them interacting with me for most of the day, whether it be inside or outside.

A typical day

#1 - I love to sing to the dogs. Please don't laugh. It lets them know that I am near. #2- Another fun activity is to dabble with dog training. Lots of dogs pull on their leash. Sometimes, the dog can be completely trained by the time the owner picks him/her up. It doesn't happen 100% of the time, but I enjoy seeing how quickly dogs respond to one-on-one training. I don't tell the owner that I'm secretly training their dog to do some show stopping tricks, also. Wink!

Let me know if there are any special needs or personality traits that I need to be aware of. The more I know about your dog, the better I can serve them. I'm looking forward to learning all that I can before their first visit.
