“Briana was on time, very kind and provided frequent follow ups of our dog while we were away. Our dog was right away very comfortable with her. We will definitely be using her services in the future! Thanks Briana!”

“It was a great pleasure to have Danyel look after our little guy and home. As a siamese, he isn't the quietest cat to look after and has a particular set of routine he needs to follow but Danyel looked after him to the T! She was incredibly responsive, communicative, and went above and beyond the required ask to make sure our home and cat is burdened free by the time we got back from our trip. Thanks Danyel!”

“It I could give 10 starts, I would. Malia is a kind, animal-loving professional who not only takes great care of your furry companion, but also take care of your house like it’s her own. I came home to a content, happy kitty and a home that was impeccably organized and even smelled like fresh laundry (?!). Such a relief to see that my cat had a great time while I was gone. Malia also takes the cutest photos of your pet. I will definitely book Malia again in the future whenever I go out of town.”

“Estela was very professional and friendly towards our dog. Somehow our dog instantly bonded with her and even though he has separation anxiety, with Estela he was quite comfortable and calm. I would like to request her service again.”

“Kate was amazing with our pups, Apollo & Argos while we were traveling for 10 days. She provided updates a few times a day on the walks, feeding, and sent a lot of really cute pictures. They are very routine based and she made sure there wasn’t any change for them. Both dogs are large and can be energetic in particular on the walks and she handled them really well. One of our pups was on antibiotics for his skin and she was great with him during his treatment letting us know how it was healing. Kate is warm and caring treating the pups as her own and that’s super important to us. She also left the house super clean and tidy when we arrived home. We highly recommend Kate as a pet sitter and will definitely be booking with her again.”

“Jaime was very patient and great with both of my dogs! My male dog can be a little weird at first but she handled him well! I received the updates I wanted and she was very fast at responding! We already have her planned for another stay!”

“Jeanne is the best! She goes above and beyond to take excellent care of our dog and our house while we are away. She sends us updates, photos and videos and our dog loves her.”

“Sophia is amazing ! Highly recommend her. Our dog sitter didn't show up for the stay without any communication. We contacted her multiple times, and she didn't even bother to respond. We were supposed to go on a road trip and it was now delayed till we could find a new sitter. That's when Sophia came to the rescue. She immediately responded to our request, was at our home within 20 minutes to do a meet and greet and then immediately took over the stay. Thanks to her, we could continue with our original stay. She took great care of our dogs and house while we were away. She sent regular updates and photos/videos. She communicated clearly on when she would be leaving the house and coming back. In general, she is a warm and nice human being. We were really touched by the little things she did like sending a warm goodbye message to my kids and parents (whom she had met during the meet and greet), candies she left for our kids and the affection she showed towards our dogs.”

“Vanessa took care of our two kitties at our house while my husband and I were away. She was great about sending cute photo updates and letting us know how they were doing. The house was left super tidy and the kitties were happy and well-cared for. Thank you , Vanessa!”

“Leslie was absolutely incredible and hands-down the best dog sitter we’ve had. We really appreciated how attentive and caring she was to our dog, Mimo, and to our space throughout the holiday weekend. Not only was she prompt and communicative, but she went above and beyond to ensure Mimo was taken care of, and always sending great updates in the process. We’re looking forward to the next opportunity Leslie can watch again!”

About: I have spent the last 9 years caring for my senior chihuahua mix, Zoë. She was 15 years old, so I have experience with administering medication, timed feedings, and other senior related care. I know what it's like to be preoccupied with your pup's/pups' well-being, and am happy to send photos and videos. I was recently laid off, so I am available most days and times. My only caveats are October 9th-14th (brother's wedding), and evenings where there are SJ Sharks games. I keep a close eye on pups in my care. They aren't left alone unless the situation necessitates that - e.g. taking dogs to the groomers or there is an emergency. If a pup is crate trained, I always make sure to take off their collars beforehand, and always watch while they eat/drink to make sure they don't choke or bloat. Safety gates are a must when stairs and pools are a factor.

“Amazing!! I am just so happy to have found Stacey. She treated our dogs with so much love while we were out of town and kept us updated the entire time. My older pup recently had surgery and takes a couple medications. Stacey had no issues managing the cone and surgery incision site, as well as my dogs medication schedule. My dogs wound looks much better after being in Stacey’s care. I am so grateful for her help. She also did additional tasks around the house that I would not have expected of her. I hope she will dog sit for us again in the future because she is truly the best house sitter we have ever had.”

About: I have always had a deep love for dogs, growing up with one in my hometown. My experience expanded significantly during my time as an au pair in Germany, where I cared for Hannah, a beautiful Golden Retriever. Hannah was incredibly loving with her family but reactive around other dogs - she would bark and lunge toward them. I learned to read her body language, redirect her attention with treats and commands, and keep her calm during walks by choosing quieter routes and using positive reinforcement techniques. As a nursing student, I understand the importance of following detailed care instructions, maintaining routines, and watching for behavioral or health changes. Whether it's an energetic pup needing mental stimulation or a senior dog requiring gentler care, I adapt my approach to each dog's unique needs. I'll treat your furry family member with the same attention I'd want for my own future Golden Retriever (coming this September!). Currently: I'm completely free this summer until September 11th! This is the perfect time to build a great relationship with your pet before my fall classes begin. Starting fall quarter (September 22nd), I'll be a nursing student at De Anza College with a flexible weekday schedule that's perfect for pet care! My classes will only be on Monday mornings (9am-12pm) and Tuesday/Thursday evenings (3-7pm), leaving me plenty of time for your furry friends. My availability: Right now (until Sept 11): Available weekdays anytime! Fall semester: Weekday mornings, afternoons, and most evenings Weekends: Very rarely available - I prefer to keep weekends for personal time unless I have no other plans Advance notice: I prefer 1-2 days notice to ensure I can give your pet my full attention I'm available for: Dog walking (30-60 minutes) Drop-in visits (30-45 minutes) House sitting (day visits only - no overnight stays currently) My goal is to provide reliable, consistent care while pursuing my passion for helping others, both human and furry! Your pet's safety and comfort are my absolute priorities. As a nursing student, I understand the importance of following detailed instructions, maintaining routines, and watching for any changes in behavior or health. Having cared for pets as an au pair in Germany and Austria, I know how crucial trust is when caring for someone's beloved family member. I maintain open communication throughout our time together and treat every pet as if they were my own. Safety measures I follow: •Keep dogs securely leashed unless in owner-approved off-leash areas •Stick to familiar, safe routes you recommend •Ensure your home remains secure during visits •Immediate communication if anything unusual occurs I'm fluent in English, Thai, and conversational in German, making me comfortable with San Jose's diverse community. I have reliable emergency transportation and your vet's contact information readily available.

Whinde D.
“From care.com to rover.com, from the city to the country we've met with dozens of pet sitters and baby sitters over the years but we have never met anyone like Whinde. I couldn't put my finger on it at first but she felt like more than a "dog person." Perhaps, as I learned later, it was her training with the likes of Caesar Milan and other animal jedis. But I think not. I think it's because Whinde is her own unique, special breed. Sixth sense combined with animal love combined with kind human being. We have left our dog and a cat with her on multiple occasions. Most recently we left them both with her for a week (over Thanksgiving) and she was willing to come to our house even. We have five children and the animals are like additional children. We have never boarded them since moving here ~2 years ago and only leave with family or Whinde. I'm actually kind of sad that she is on rover more because now she might be less available to work with us :( but I can at least be happy for you/your animal. We highly recommend Whinde and would say she's one of the best on here.”

Naomi C.
“We entrusted our energetic pup, Angus, with Naomi for a weekend, and boy did he have a great time! He's a little velcro boy, so we were nervous leaving him overnight for the first time since he was a puppy. He snuggled right in with her and was almost upset to see us home, since he was having a wonderful stay with her. She was very attentive, gave him lots of belly rubs and treats, and gave him all the love he was missing from us! She perfectly followed the list we provided her, with all of his special needs with going potty and his reactive-ness to other dogs. We felt very secure with her taking care of him and we will definitely have her watch him again!”

Willow Glen pet parents share their Rover experiences
Once again, Chris took great care of our little dog and kept a sense of humor about his demands, too. He was also understanding about things we forgot to do in our house. Gives us peace of mind knowing that he is caring with our dog and helpful in many ways while we are away. Thank you, Chris!

I can’t say enough good things about Natalee, who took care of my dog Hippo for six days while I was out in Houston. She was incredibly communicative, keeping me updated every step of the way. She let me know how Hippo was doing, when she was heading to work, and even turned on the dog camera so I could peek in and see how things were going. She consistently sent me pictures of a very happy Hippo, which really showed me that Hippo was comfortable, safe, and well-loved. Plus, when it came to walks and park outings, Natalee followed all the safety instructions I gave her to a T, which gave me huge peace of mind. On top of that, she respected my home beautifully. I came back to a house just as clean as I left it, which is always a plus. Honestly, this was an 11/10 experience on Rover. I’d absolutely book Natalee again in a heartbeat. Hippo was happy, I was stress-free, and it was a fantastic experience all around!

Jacqueline was really great and we loved having her dog sit for us. She did a great job taking care of our dog as well as our home and we were very pleased with her services. She provided consistent and helpful updates and pictures. Our dog, Yumi, seemed to be happy and having a fun going on walks and playing with her. I would recommend Jacqueline without hesitation.

Caitlin watched my tiny Chihuahua for three days and it was her first time being left at home with a stranger. Ollie was so scared but Caitlin was very patient and kind to her, communicated with me, and even gave her anxiety meds when she needed them. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

Sophia is amazing ! We were really touched by the little things she did like sending a warm goodbye message to my kids and parents (whom she had met during the meet and greet), candies she left for our kids and the affection she showed towards our dogs.

Loryne did a great job housesitting and taking care of our two dogs. Jake is a two year old Golden Retriever with a lot of energy. Gracie is a twelve year old Labradoodle. Loryne gave them plenty of exercise and took great care of them!! We will definitely use her again in the future!

Maggie did a great job with our (almost) 16-year-old pup while we were away at family camp for the week. She stayed in touch, asked questions, sent pics ... we loved hearing how well our girl was doing! Maggie followed all the medication/supplement instructions to a tee. I wouldn't hesitate to book her again, she's a keeper!

Our experience with Janelle was wonderful. She watched our dog overnight at our house for three nights while we were on vacation. We met her the week before our trip and she was easy to talk to and very positive and friendly. Our dog immediately took a liking to her. While we were gone she sent some photos, and upon our return the house was immaculate. She left us a little welcome home sign with a really cute picture of our dog that she had drawn! That was a very sweet gesture. We recommend her!
