“Jessica‘s walked my dog several times now. She always shows up exactly what time she says she will be there and does a great job with my dog. I’ll be using her more in the future.”

“My border collie hates to be left alone. When I got home after Jynette’s visit, Keira was calm and happy. So the visit and potty break were just what she needed. Great job!”

“Lisa is an excellent dog walker! She was prompt and took Tut on a long walk for an hour where he was able to burn some energy and then relax/nap afterwards till I got home from work. Will definitely work with her again”

“Absolutely amazing experience. Work and day to day has been made so much more enjoyable and I have so much appreciation for the patience my pup is experiencing. I will be a regular for quite some time. Thank you again Phyllis!”

“She came over to meet my Rocky before she walked him the next day ❤️ really shows how much she cares for the pets she takes care of. Would recommend her to anyone and will book again”

About: Hello! Our names are Darling and Kolby. We have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and a wide variety of breeds. We have plenty of space to host your dog, including a fully fenced yard where they can safely play and explore. We currently have two cats and a Golden Aussie of our own, and we grew up surrounded by animals such as Rottweilers, Pit Bulls, Chihuahuas, Poodles, and more. Because of this, we are very comfortable managing a multi-pet household. If your pet has any allergies or special dietary needs, we are happy to accommodate them. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about your pet while you’re away, we’d be happy to help! I work remotely so I am able to spend more time with my dog during the day, and he gets to play in the yard for the majority of the day. We provide lots of exercise with yard play, walks and trips to the dog park. As well as mentally stimulating activities that our dog requires.

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I have over 5 years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities, including my own pets and my professional experience as a kennel attendant at a pet daycare. I’m experienced with walks, feeding routines, baths, medication, and providing care for pets with different needs and temperaments. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, so I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. My goal is to give your pet the same attention, patience, and love I would give my own. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets the time and attention they deserve. I plan my days around making sure each pet gets proper care, playtime, walks, and check-ins without feeling rushed. I treat every pet like they’re my own. I focus on keeping them safe, comfortable, and following their normal routine so they feel relaxed while their owner is away. I pay attention to their behavior, needs, and any instructions provided to make sure they receive the best care possible.
About: I've been caring for animals since I was a kid, so I have experience with just about every stage of pet life, from puppies and kittens to seniors who need a little extra patience and attention. I'm comfortable with basic training, quick drop-ins, longer stays, and pets with more specific care needs. I grew up in the country with a pack of Australian Shepherds, so I'm very familiar with energetic, intelligent dogs and the occasional four-legged escape artist. These days, I have five cats of my own, and my fiancé and I also rescue cats and kittens, so I have plenty of hands-on experience with feline care too. That includes everything from confident, social cats to shy, nervous, or newly rescued kitties who may need a little more patience while they get comfortable. My home also makes it easy to give pets their own separate, quiet areas when needed, which is especially helpful for shy animals, cats, pets who aren't comfortable around others, or those who simply prefer some privacy. I also have experience caring for pets recovering from surgery or dealing with temporary mobility and medication needs. Since I work from home, I'm around throughout the day and can provide plenty of supervision, companionship, potty breaks, and attention rather than leaving your pet alone for long stretches. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and already structure my day around caring for my own animals. I’m home throughout the day, which makes it easy to accommodate feeding schedules, potty breaks, playtime, medications, check-ins, and plenty of attention without pets being left alone for long stretches. I’m also used to adjusting my routine around an animal’s individual needs. Whether that means an early breakfast, extra walks for an energetic puppy, a quiet afternoon with a senior pet, or giving a shy cat time and space to settle in, I have the flexibility to make their normal routine part of mine. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I try to keep their routine as familiar and low-stress as possible. I follow your instructions closely for feeding, medications, potty breaks, walks, playtime, sleeping arrangements, and any household rules your pet is used to. Because I work from home, I have a lot of flexibility throughout the day. That means I’m available for regular walks, extra potty breaks, drop-ins, play sessions, and check-ins rather than trying to squeeze pet care around a traditional office schedule. I’m happy to match your dog’s usual walking routine, whether that means a quick neighborhood loop or a longer walk to burn off some energy. In my home, I’m able to section off different rooms and areas as needed, which is especially helpful for pets who need privacy, a quiet place to decompress, or separation from other animals. I’m also very mindful about doors, gates, leashes, and other potential escape routes. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of both your space and your pet’s established routine. I want them to feel like life is continuing as normally as possible while you’re away, with plenty of attention and supervision. I’m also happy to send photos and updates throughout their care so you have the peace of mind of knowing how they’re doing while you’re away.
“Kassie put in the extra effort to make my grumpy little old man of a dog happy! She consistently put in extra time to ensure his comfort and to keep me posted while I was away. Very appreciative of her!”
About: Dogs and cats aren't just pets to me—they are family, confidants, and absolute best friends. My own pets are my genuine besties, and I promise to treat yours with that exact same level of unconditional love, respect, and playful energy! My house is a happily packed pet paradise, and all five of my fur-babies are adopted rescues! I have a massive heart for rescue animals and am the proud pet parent to two wonderful dogs—Harry, a Portuguese Podengo Pequeno, and Sally, a Cairn Terrier/Corgi mix. We also share our home with two gorgeous Norwegian Forest Cats, Chaussette and Hugo, and our sweet senior calico queen, Greta (lovingly nicknamed Goose). I have spent my entire life raising, loving, and working with animals. Over the years, I’ve owned and cared for Corgis, German Shepherds, Black Labs, and unique mixed breeds of every shape and size. Professionally, I have extensive experience working housesitting and petsitting jobs for giant breeds, tiny pups, and everything in between. Why In-Home Care Matters: I focus entirely on taking care of pets in their own environment. Boarding facilities can be loud, chaotic, and scary. By keeping your dogs and cats at home for walks, drop-ins, and weekend stays, we maintain their exact eating and sleeping consistency, heavily reduce their separation anxiety, and eliminate the stress of an unfamiliar place. Your pet gets to stay in their favorite spot on the couch, and I bring the love directly to them! Specialized Care You Can Trust: * Senior & Special Needs Care: Because I care for my own sweet senior rescue Greta at home, I have a deep understanding of senior dogs and cats who need a slower pace, gentle handling, extra bathroom breaks, and patient companionship. * Medical & Medication Management: I am fully confident and experienced in administering medications (oral pills, liquid supplements, or topical treatments) safely and strictly on your required timeline. * True Cat Adoration: I absolutely adore cats! I respect their boundaries, will happily scoop litter boxes to keep their space pristine, and am always ready to whip out the feather wand if the mood strikes your kitty for some playtime. * All-Size Confident: From massive, energetic guard dogs to small, independent pups, my professional sitting background means I know how to handle and lead dogs of any size safely. When your besties are with me, they get a dedicated friend who will send you plenty of fun photo updates, respect your house rules perfectly, and keep them safe, happy, and completely spoiled in the comfort of their own home! I work a standard full-time day job, but my schedule is highly optimized for local pet care! I am available for weekday lunch-break check-ins, daytime drop-in visits, and refreshing dog walks. I also specialize in weekend overnight house sitting stays (and can occasionally accommodate weeknights by special request), making sure your fur-babies get dedicated evening cuddles, structured morning routines, and constant love. I always recommend a free 30 minute meet & greet with you and your pet(s) prior to booking. This helps everyone involved and especially your pet.
About: Hi, I’m Dallana! I’ve been around dogs and cats my entire life. I’ve raised multiple Yorkies and cared for many breeds of cats. With over 15 years of experience, I’ve learned how to understand pet body language, respect their boundaries, and make sure they feel safe and loved. I offer dog walking and drop-in visits in Chesterfield and nearby areas. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break or some extra love and attention while you’re away, I’m here to help. I have reliable transportation always show up on time, and can administer medication if needed. I can’t wait to meet your best friend and give them the care they deserve! I know every pet parent has specific routines and preferences and I always follow your instructions closely. After all, your pet is your baby, and I’ll treat them like one of my own. ❤️
“Lovely young lady, friendly and professional. Walked my 2 girls for a few days while i was recovering from surgery - they were happy and excited to see Shannon and enjoyed their walks!”

About: Hi! I’m a lover of all pets, young, old, big, and small! I have two dogs, a 12 year old Chesapeake Retriever Lab mix and a 4 year old Great Pyrenees mix, and I genuinely enjoy caring for animals of all kinds. Whether your pet is playful, shy, energetic, or prefers a quiet companion, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. In addition to providing exceptional care, I believe in great customer service. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, keep you updated, and treat your pets like family while you’re away. So, when can I start? I am excited to meet your adorable pets! Please reach out to me if you have any questions or need certain times for your loves! Hi there! I have a townhome with two dogs and prefer to take care of your pups at your home where they feel comfortable the most! 😃
About: Hi there! 👋 I’m a lifelong animal lover with over 10 years of hands-on experience working with a wide range of animals—from dogs & cats to dolphins & elephants (yes, really!). I’ve spent most of my career in high-energy, professional animal care settings, but these days I’m embracing a more low-key lifestyle and focusing on what I love most: giving animals the personal attention and care they deserve. I’m happy to work with any furry friends, but I specialize in animals that are more difficult to handle—whether they’re shy, reactive, high-energy, or need extra patience and support. With years of hands-on experience with many different species, I’m confident in my ability to manage a wide range of behaviors and needs. I bring a calm, steady presence that helps pets feel safe and understood, and I focus on keeping their environment low-stress and consistent with their routine. If you’re looking for someone with a professional background, and a genuine passion for animals, I’d love to meet you and your furry (or not-so-furry) family member! I have a flexible but consistent work schedule, which makes it easy for me to fit in care visits throughout the week. Since I already spend most of my time around animals, being with your pets will be a natural part of my day! I’m happy to work out a schedule that fits your pet’s needs and keeps things running smoothly for everyone. Whether I’m caring for pets in your home or mine, I focus on keeping things calm, comfortable, and consistent with their routine. I’m attentive to each pet’s personality and needs—whether they love playtime, quiet companionship, or a little of both. My goal is always to make them feel safe, happy, and well cared for.

About: I’ve been dog-sitting for about 5 years now. I’ve mainly taken care of small to medium sized dogs but I’m open to looking after larger dogs as well. I am very reliable and have a lot of energy to keep your dog entertained throughout the day. I love going for walks and and going to dog parks if allowed by the owner. I live in an apartment and it’s dog-friend and the apartment has a dog area where they can relieve themselves. I live in a studio apartment but there’s plenty of open space where your pup can lounge around. I’m very attentive of your dogs needs, so I stay on top of taking them out for walks and making sure their water bowl is kept full and following their feeding schedule. Also open to grooming and showering your dog, especially if they are staying overnight with me. If your pup is energetic and loves to play we will be a great match!!
About: Hello there! I absolutely adore animals. I spent 3 years at the SPCA, working directly with the animals and fostering. My friends and I started our own rescue, SFC Virginia Animal Rescue. I know how hard it is to trust your dog is in good hands, and to feel happy, and safe. I love snapping photos and sharing with you all that me and your fur baby do during our visit, (and not afraid to inspect poop to ensure your pet is healthy and report when a concern.) My dogs have been through various trainings and would be happy to share my knowledge while I spend time with your pet. I have over 5 years experience with pets with medical needs varying from administering sub-q fluids to medications to inhalers for the cat-kiddos. My girl has hypo-thyroid and has to take a pill twice a day. With my experience with medically-needy animals I am hyper aware of the smallest changes in behaviors in a short period of time and can offer varying tricks with administering for the ones who aren’t big fans. Side note: I do have travel minute limit, for those east of 95, that is within the time limit if the $5ish toll is taken, otherwise it would take over 30 mins. If you are okay with an additional charge of $6 to cover toll, I will be more than happy to assist! I work from home so I get a lot of quality time with my babies. Where I see opportunities to train, I take advantage. Training is a daily on going activity. My animals eat twice a day on snuffle mats with a kibble and veggie/fruit medley. In short, pet care is part of my routine. When hired to do check-ins I like to spend my first time with the pet observing knowing I’m a stranger and I want to not overwhelm. I will read the vibes and either interact more or keep a distance depending on their body language and how they are reacting to me. I know pets sometimes have a tendency to be more reserved or hesitant to do their normal activities. I try to connect and bond during this time as well with treats (if provided) and positive quiet communication.

Jynette provides a great service and she is quick to respond any requests or messages, as well as prompt to any events (meetups, dog walking). She brought her own dog to accompany mine on his walk, which thrilled Tut as he loves to walk with new friends and show them the way around his neighborhood. Will definitely work with Jynette again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
